THE CLEANING AUTHORITY

We had Christmas Gift Cards stolen from our house by someone working for the Cleaning Authority, (Westlake, OH chapter.) I filed a police report and each person denies it. As of now they are still employed with Cleaning Authority. Please be careful, for they could steal from you too.

As the year progressed the cleanings just got worse . Nothing was done the way it used to be done . I terminated my services with them after this last appointment. Time to find someone who cleans the way they used to !

I did't even hire them because it was difficult even to book a date with them! I called twice only to be told that someone will contact me to schedule – the first time no one called me back. Not sure why i couldn't schedule with the person who answers the phone when you select the option to book a cleaning service. Finally someone called me back and they were very unprofessional and didn't even sound like they wanted my business. So I went with someone else where i got great customer service and a professional person answering the phone!

It is average quality for cleaning.

I'm getting a little disenfranchised. After having them for years, you notice things that are being neglected so I may be in the market for somebody else there. I pay 86 dollars every two weeks. I don't always have the same people come out and I think that's something that really turns me off.

They could improve upon their thoroughness of cleaning.

I will continue to use them. 

Crew was on their cell phone while working. I had to have them come out for a re-clean 2x... I have had professional cleaners for 10 years and was very unimpressed... Probably the worst cleaners yet. The admin called me right after the service hounding me for payment (isn't bill pay how most people pay bills these days)? Not a good experience.

I have been using Cleaning Authority for over one year.  They do a very good job, but not as well as I would do it myself.  That said, I don't have the time or energy to do it.  The most important thing is that I trust the employees of this service.  I have never had any problem with loss or damage to my property.  If I can't be home, I am comfortable leaving them access to a key.  If I am home, they are friendly and we have a nice conversation.  They all seem to be really fine people.  If I am not completely satisfied or there is a misunderstanding,  I call the office and they make it satisfactory.  They are also flexible about the freaquency of services.  They can clean part of your house or the entire house, whatever you arrange with them...They are comfortable with pets and small children..They use a damp mop but don't leave the floors wet.  Only limitation is they can't move heavy objects in order to mop or vacuum more thoroughly.

First couple months cleaning went well. Then things (garbage cans, picture frames) were getting broken. When reported to the company, the response was that the team didn't mention it and nothing was done. Team was never the same individuals. After 3 straight times of the bathrooms not getting cleaned, a complaint was filed with the main office each time & we stopped service.

They do an acceptable job. The people who clean are not the same on a consistent basis, and some are clearly better than others. They have a tendency to play hide and seek with our trash cans - at least one is invariably in some random place other than where we keep it, despite the fact that we've been using this service for over a year. Sometimes, they do a less than stellar job, although usually it's acceptable. In the summer, there is apparently a policy that clients must keep their a/c at 73 or lower during scheduled cleaning, which is ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. However, if you want thorough, in depth cleaning, this is not the right service - I have to clean mildew out of my shower pretty regularly, as it grows up above the actual show stall. It's still within easy reach, but is apparently not within what they consider to be their services. Update - I actually stopped service with them not long after I initially submitted this report, within the next 3 months. The quality of work went down significantly, and the last straw was a day when I was home sick from work, and was lying on the couch in the basement (they didn't clean the basement, per our agreement). I looked a fright, so I didn't head up to greet them, so they didn't know I was there - and they were there for less than 45 minutes. I believe there were 2 of them, but you can't clean a 2500 square foot house with two baths and a dog in under 45 minutes, and this explained the deterioration in service I'd already seen. I cancelled within the week and found another provider.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!

WHILE THE WOMEN WHO PERFORMED THE WORK WERE VERY GOOD, THE MANAGEMENT WAS HORRIBLE. WE'VE WORKED WITH THEM FOR 4 MONTHS. DURING THAT TIME, THEY'VE BEEN UP TO 2 HOURS LATE, 1 HOUR EARLY, OR SHOWN UP NOT AT ALL. WITHOUT NOTICE, OUR APPOINTMENT TIME WAS CHANGED AND WE MISSED A CLEANING ALTOGETHER. WHEN THE SALES TAX WAS ADDED TO THEIR FEE A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, A LETTER NOTIFYING US OF THE CHANGE NEVER MADE IT TO US (THEY SAID THEY SENT IT WITH THE WOMEN). AS A RESULT, THE TIP THAT WE ROUTINELY INCLUDED IN OUR CHECK WAS REDUCED (WE WROTE A CHECK FOR $115 TO COVER $95 SERVICE AND $10 EACH FOR THE TIP - CLEARLY WRITTEN ON EACH CHECK IN THE MEMO). WHEN WE FOUND OUT THAT THE WOMEN WEREN'T GETTING THEIR ENTIRE TIP, WE CONFRONTED THE MANAGER. UNBELIEVABLY, SHE GOT MAD AT US AND SAID THEY COULD NO LONGER PROVIDE US SERVICE. WE CONTACTED THE OWNER, WHO WAS PLEASANT, BUT DID NOTHING. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
