"Dear Ms. [Member Name Removed], We thank you for your review. Your computer had over 800+ virus/malware that I found. The only choice in this matter was to let you know that we will have to remove virus and we did. The nature of these virus/malware is such that they infect Windows system files so when removed, sometimes they make Windows performance unstable. I had advised you that if your Windows does not work properly, I will wipe out your hard drive, re-install Windows and restore all your files at NO EXTRA CHARGE to you. I did follow-up with a phone call to you and let you know that I will do that at you convenience. However, the issue was that you did not have some software discs that you would have needed to re-install the software that you need for your picture software. In my last conversation, you had stated that you will look for the software and call me when you are ready for me to wipe out your computer's hard drive and re-install Windows. I have not heard from you since then. I will once again call and follow-up with you if you want me to remedy this issue. We stand behind our work 100%, no exceptions. However, we also ask our customers to be objective and disclose fully the issues in their reviews so that other Angie's List customers who read reviews get a full and complete picture of our service calls. Service was excellent and I would highly recommend to others. I know something about computers but am not a whiz. I had problems connecting the computer to the internet and spent 3 hours of my time and couldn't solve it. It turned out to be a malware problem I didn't know I had as I thought my existing virus protection would protect against such problems. I also had problems with the touch pad on my laptop. Arun solved those two problems in about an hour and the cost was only $82; he was well worth the money. Arun was professional and helped me learn a lot about protecting my laptop. I couldn't have asked for a better service and will absolutely use them again if I have computer problems.

The guy was very nice, came right on time, acted professional but they didn’t fix my computer. He just kept saying that there’s nothing wrong with my computer. He recommended that I buy a new computer but the one I have isn’t that old. He sold a few programs, explained everything but the computer was no better than when he arrived.

Since the cost of upgrading the CPU was not possible without replacing the whole computer, I had recommended that to keep using the computer until the time you would like to replace it. The only software that I had recommended was an anti-virus software and I had charged you for the software only. Please let me know when you are ready to purchase a new computer. Provider came very on the same day I contacted him, very punctual. He easily connected the computer and advised me on removing malware and other items that could potentially interfere with computer performance. He diagnosed the reason I was not getting sound and recommended additional equipment I would need.

I was trying to add gigabytes under my tower and I bought it. I went to Best Buy and they wanted a $100 to install it. I called this guy at the Angie’s List and they only charged me $40. He even gave me a break on the price because he’s listed with the Angie’s List. He was done maybe in 20 minutes. I thought it was fantastic. This guy has been with me before so I would use him again plus he gave me a little bit off. I called him and he said he would be right over. He came over and bing, bang, boom, done. He is very professional, very quick and easy. He knows exactly what I needed and I have the two gigabytes to put into the tower, installed, and left. He was excellent. I called him and he was here the next day. He is just in Westlake. He’s been here before and he knew exactly how to get here. He’s very punctual.

"Hello, Thanks for your review. I do not recall the specifics of our conversation because it has been over a year ago, but our fee for wiping out hard drive + backing up and restoring data + re-installing operating system + re-installing all your software applications and updates is less than one-half of your quote. Our fee is much less when we are not performing all of these tasks on your computer. At times, when a computer needs more memory or any other hardware, or if a customer wants to upgrade to a newer version of Windows, we have to charge for a retail version of Windows. In such circumstances, we do recommend that a potential customer evaluate the possibility of purchasing a new computer. Please let us know if you need any assistance in future. Great service from start to finish. I had a computer virus on my laptap and Arun was able to come to my house on a weekend and fix it in no time at all. Very curtious and freindly service.
