Excellent. I will definitely use them again. They did not charge for the estimate visit and suggested we contact manufacturer for a part under warranty. They came back and installed igniter on time. They were very helpful and friendly.

American Plumbing installed my sump pump in September of 2005. The pump failed in February 2007. Don was able to replace at no cost. However, my pump again failed in August 2008. Three sump pumps in three years!!! Needless to say, I will not call them again when this sump pump fails.(Which will probably occur in less than 2 years.)

They removed the old disposal and replaced a new one. They were professional and very good and I would hire them again. They were very responsive and I felt like they knew what they were doing. I am even hiring them again for some plumbing.

The two plumbers came 1 hour into scheduled time. They worked seperatly to install pressure limiting valve and break up floor for drain work. I asked first guy if the valve came with a guage and he explained it didn't. Didn't offer to put one on. I asked him if they could check the pressure to make sure it was installed correctly and he said that you do it to feel. Let me explain what is wrong with that. I had high pressure, it took me years to realize it was not just good pressure. High pressure is horrible on appliences and fixtures. All my fixtures leak, I burst garden hoses all the time. I don't know what proper pressure looks like. Home depot sells a $9 guage that you attach to a slop sink or outside hose bib. He could have sold it to me for $20 and installed it for the same and I would have been happy. Instead he told me to check the pressure by feel. He guy tearing up the floor and removing the old drain and p-trap broke the old sewer line. I believe him when he told me it fell apart (100 year old home). He repaired it with a piece of tin and re-attached it to the new line with a bag of cement. I don't know if this is the best way, I'm not a plumber. He didn't install the cleanout I asked for (So I will have do change this myself). He said that it could be cleaned out though the top of 4ft pipe sticking out of the floor. I don't think this is possible that means the snake that ever did the job would have to be 4ft off the floor too. Both guys were fairly competent and I don't think anything will fail, but they didn't do what asked and left me with a feeling of being lied to. I had to buy a $9 guage at home depot myself so I could check water pressure, and I will have to change the woork they did on the drain becuase they didn't listen. They did discount the work from $600 to $500, but I still feel used.

My outside clay pipe gutter drain was clogged. The plumber tried to clear it for 20 min or so. The drain had collapsed so it could not be cleared. The plumber told me how he knew that it was collapsed and not clogged. He disscussed my options with me and gave me some free estimates on other work. He then discounted the visit from $155 to $97.

Corey arrived right in the middle of the 2-hour window American plumbing gave me. He made sure he knew where the gas lines were and took the precaution of opening a window to vent any gas that escaped. It perhaps took him 10 minutes to take care of that. He quickly identified the leak in the toilet and replaced the bad parts. He was in the house for all of 25 minutes. I appreciate the efficient service.

They were available the business day after I called, and arrived right on time. He was in and out within less than an hour and the drains are all working well. He was careful not to leave a mess. I found this company on Angie's List a couple of years ago and have used them several times. I have had no complaints, so have not even bothered to check the list since the very beginning. I asked when I called if they still offered a coupon through Angie's List. She said no, but that they had a coupon in the phone book, which they honored when he came.

Quick response and even quicker repair! Two young men showed up and set to work. The two of us had been tugging at the gas line for days; they just popped it off!! (YOUTH!!). Placed compression fittings on water lines. Replaced kitchen basket and drain lines. I think the whole process took 30-45 mins. We were slightly surprised at their age, but they evidently have the experience. Corey can make you tired watching him! A boss showed up for about a minute, took quick inventory of what needed to be done, said we were in good hands and left. A leak showed up the next day on one water line. One call and Corey was out to fix it promptly.

Overall it went very well; the only disappointment was that it took 2 repair visits. The first visit was using the camera looking for the problem. The second visit was 3 days later with the same crew to do the actual repair.

Don called me when I requested he call (after my work hours) to schedule an estimate. Then 2 days later, Don arrived on time for the estimate! He also came armed with literature and knowledge about my choices of tankless water heaters. Within a week from my first phone call, the new heater was installed. I had used American before, so I trusted them and was able to leave my house open for them and go to work the day the work was done. When all the work and cleanup (it was a big job) was done, Don thoroughly- and patiently- explained the work that was performed and and how the new heater operates. And here is the best part of the customer satisfaction American provides... Later that evening, after using a bathroom faucet, I had a problem with it dripping... one phone call and Don was out first thing the next day just to replace a washer!
