+ 0 moreAppointment was easy to make, the service was prompt . Don came and fixed the shut off valves and the faucet within minutes. He was very pleasant, professional and easy to talked to. I started using American Plumbing services last year after found them on Angies List:. This was the third time and each time they provided excellent service. It is a pleasure to be able to get plumbing services like they have provided over the year.
Description of Work: Loosened 'frozen up" water zone shut off valves in the house and stopped the water leak from the stem of one of the outside water faucet.

water heater repair, basement waterproofing
+ 0 moreThey arrived at the scheduled time and got right to work. The entire process took 1 ½ to 1 ¾ hours to complete. They hauled away the old water heater and cleaned up the work area. Don even replaced, at no charge, a couple of washers in the stationary tub faucets that were leaking. I have used American Plumbing several times in the past and have always been satisfied, and this time was no different. Don gave me an estimate on a few other smaller repairs and I will be calling to schedule that shortly.
Description of Work: My 35-year-old gas water heater finally started showing signs of old age and began leaking. I called on Thursday and was able to schedule an appointment for Saturday. I still had hot water as it was only a slow leak, and a Saturday appointment was my preference. Don and two assistants replaced the hot water heater with a new 40-gallon tank that I’m sure will be much more efficient and will have a quicker recovery time.

They were there most of the day running the gas line. They did a great job. It is a family business; the guy who gave me the quote was the father and his two sons did the work. They were pleasant and professional. I actually mentioned it to them that I needed somebody to do the cabinet work so they mentioned a construction company who I was very happy with.
Description of Work: I used American Plumbing Inc running in a new gas line and replaced a kitchen faucet.

I was told that if the problem recurred that a camera could be used to see what is going on and it was much less expensive than what I had heard from other people I knew that needed a camera in their pipes. It is just good to deal with a honest and reputable company!
Description of Work: I have used them many times in the last 7 years since I found them on Angie's List and see their truck on the roads constantly. They are reliable and snake out my sanitary drains every couple of years and have replaced faucets and hot water heater. My old hot water heater was making a very scary noise and I called them and they came out immediately! I was so grateful as the old gas water heater made me very nervous. They replaced it the next day and then removed the old heater the next day. This company is wonderful and it is so good to know they are always there and available in emergencies. The last time I called the drain under my laundry tub was blocked and leaking water after a heavy rain and they came out and snaked it for free because they had just done it a month before; it could have been a loose root or some kind of clog that got caught up further down the line. I find their prices to be very reasonable (especially after experiencing gouging from other plumbing companies before I found them) and always courteous and professional.

+ -1 moreI called first thing this morning and they were able to get me an appointment this afternoon. Don showed up promptly during the window of time they gave me Don was polite and courteous. When I showed him the issue, he confidently told me he would be able to get it clear. Within 10 minutes, Don said he had finished everything. The drain now runs better than it has in a while. Don came back in with a towel and cleaned up water that got on the floor while clearing everything out. Don said there is a 1 year warranty on the work. I asked if there was anything I could do to prevent this from happening again...he quickly replied that for the next year, I would not have to worry about it...it would be on him. Because of the quick, professional and complete service, I got an estimate for another job and have scheduled the work to be done next week.

+ -1 moreWe have lived in Westlake for 31 years. and I have used American Plumbing and other local plumbers in the past. My feeling is that American Plumbing is the best of the lot, and a whole lot better than some of the others.
Description of Work: We had a hot water tank go bad and I called American Plumbing to get an estimate. They came out quickly and exactly when they said they would. After reviewing our needs, they made recommendations and quoted a price including tax for replacing two 50 gallon tanks with top quality tanks and for cleaning up some problems created by someone else. I had researched costs enough to determine that their price was very reasonable. They scheduled the job for the first thing in the morning, and they arrived promptly and performed to my complete satisfaction.

+ -1 more3 of my gutter drains were overflowing when it rained. I suspected root invasion from the large oaks in my backyard, I called Don, and he and 2 other workers arrived promptly and snaked two of the drains and explained that because I had plastic pipes there would be no root invasion, probably leaves that caused the blockage. The third drain they could not get the snake into so they dug 3 feet down to the drain junction and discovered that the contractor who built the house used materials that collapsed, so they replaced part of the pipe and the t-junction, refilled the hole and then snaked it out for good measure. Don was very kowledgeable, and very thorough and assured me that if I had any problems in the next 6 months he would come out to fix it.

+ 1 moreThey did an excellent job. The price was fair and they did a great job. They did everything they said they would do and we have no complaints whatsoever. We were completely satisfied with everything they did. They even gave us a ten year warranty and if we have any backups, they’ll come out and snake it for free. They have an excellent warranty to go on top of the job they did.
Description of Work: We used American Plumbing to replace our septic tank line. We spent $1400. The original estimate was $1100 but they had to go further and bust up some concrete in the walkway in the front of the house. They replaced the line coming from the house to the septic tank. The problem was underneath the walkway.

I called 6 different plumbers and only 2, this one and another, could even get to us on an emergency basis. American called me back within 10 minutes and said they could have someone to us in a half hour. The plumber arrived on time, diagnosed the problem (lint clogging main drain out of house), snaked the drains and charged a reasonable rate.
