Last Saturday I visited three lighting stores looking for a new kitchen fixture. Northern was the only one where they paid any attention to me. They answered all my questions and were very friendly. It's a great place to shop.

We worked with Amanda through the entire process. She is very knowledgeable and was able to give us many recommendations given our taste. She pointed out a great deal on a ceiling fan that looks great in our son's jungle room. Since she has had experience with various builders before she was able to give us a time line when we would have to make our decisions and even called when we were close to missing a deadline.

Indoor lamp was damaged. Brought it back. Salesperson who was very helpful with our purchases was very apologetic. Replaced lamp. Extended return policy after I explained outdoor fixtures weren't going to be installed within the return policy time frame. Company is very helpful and willing to accommodate the customer's needs.

AMANDA, WAS VERY HELPFUL IN GUIDING THROUGH OUR DESIGN IDEAS. ONE VISIT WAS DURING A THUNDERSTORM AND THE POWER WENT OUT! SHE DIDN'T SKIP A BEAT AS SHE LIT A CANDLE, AND WE CONTINUED TO REVIEW OUR LIGHTING OPTIONS. THEY GRACIOUSLY ALLOWED US TO RETURN ONE EXTRA PENDANT FIXTURE THAT DIDN'T FIT IN WITH OUR PLAN. THEY HAD THE MOST COMPETIVE PRICING OF ALL LIGHTING STORES I CALLED.

WE SEARCHED ALL THE HOME-IMPROVEMENT STORES FOR MATCHING LIGHTS FOR OUR FOYER AND HALLWAY, AND COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WE LIKED. SO WE LOOKED AT THE LIGHTING STORES AND WERE PLEASED BY OUR EXPERIENCE WITH NORTHERN LIGHTING. THEY HAD A WIDE SELECTION OF LIGHTS, AND WE FOUND MULTIPLE SETS WE LIKED. THE LIGHTS WERE REASONABLY PRICED AS SHOWN, BUT WE WERE DELIGHTED WHEN THEY TOOK AN ADDITIONAL 30% OFF THE LIST PRICE WHEN WE CHECKED OUT. THEY EVEN GAVE US LIGHT BULBS FOR OUR NEW LIGHTS.

THIS INVOLVED A PURCHASE RATHER THAN WORK PERFORMED. A HANGING LIGHT FIXTURE FOR OVER A KITCHEN TABLE PROVED TO HAVE A FAULTY SOCKET WHEN WE TRIED TO INSTALL IT. THE FOLKS AT NORTHERN LIGHTING FIXED IT WITHIN A DAY, REIMBURSED US FOR THE ADDED TIME THE ELECTRICIAN SPENT ON THE INSTALLATION, AND THREW IN SOME COUPONS TO ENSURE THAT WE'D COME BACK--WHICH WE WILL WHENEVER WE NEED NEW LIGHTS.
