Ty was the serviceman who installed our new Rheem water heater and expansion tank. He was very punctual, courteous, quiet, and professional. We would highly recommend the company and Ty to anyone.

The Angie's List site for this company clearly states that Jack Woods Plumbing does remodels and new construction jobs. They do not. This is misleading. They do only plumbing. The appointment with this company was a waste of time.

First technician was gruff, unpleasant, and only fixed toilet. Afterwards I called JW manager, explained situation, and requested different technician to complete the work. Remaining work completed to my satisfaction by second technician.

I sent an email asking for an appointment & had a prompt response. I scheduled Tim R for my repairs - I've had him do work in the past (before I was an Angie's member). Tim called before coming & arrived promptly. He was very courteous & professional & thoroughly explained each needed part. A second appointment was needed to repair the broken stack - again, Tim called before coming & did a great job. I trust all repairs were done correctly & recommend Jack Woods Plumbing to others. (I forgot to inform Tim I was an Angie's member, but it would only be a $5 discount, so no big deal.)

It was difficult to communicate with him. I was trying to find out if they would be able fix our problem or not. We had already paid another plumber to test our problem and had the results, but he wasn't able to fix it. The only sense I got was that we would have to pay them to look at it too.

It stopped leaking for 2 days but it started leaking again. When I called back to try and get it fixed, they said they would call me back but never did. I called again. Eventually, they did come out and fix the leak correctly and it has been great ever since.

Our experience was excellent. I called him back a second time to also repair frozen pipes. I was happy with his responsiveness in returning to my call and in getting the repairs done. He did a nice job.

Barry did a great job and tried everything he could to unclog my toilet. He did end up having to remove the toilet. and found some other issues he was able to take care of for me. The company also came to me highly recommended from a neighbor who has been a customer for many many years. I will use them again and I will also recommend them to others. Thanks so much!

I have been using them for about 10 years now. They have always been very punctual and reasonable. Scheduling is easy and they give you several dates that may work with your time frame. I feel their price is average in the industry. It is always a really good experience however the technician that came most recently seemed sloppy and careless.

I called Jack L. Woods on the morning of February 17th to have them check out my hot water heater. We had hot water, but when we took showers we ran out of hot water too soon. They gave me a time frame that they could have someone at the house and said they would call before they came. They ended up calling early and said a previous job had finished early. When the plumber arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem as the hot water heater. He told me that they could either replace the item that was causing the problem or replace the whole water heater. Since the water heater was already 10 years old, he thought I would be running on borrowed time by fixing it. I opted for the new water heater, but was not pressured on this decision. He quoted me a price of $780. He even suggested I get a 40 gallon standard size tank instead of the short that he would be replacing because they were a little cheaper and I had plenty of room. I opted for the standard size and I am glad I did because it was taller, but narrower and allowed for a little more room in an already cramped spot. He gave me the quote and told me to call the office to set up a time for installation if I decided to go with them. I called when he left and they said they could work me in the next day. I told them that was fine and to go a head with the install. He then called me back about 10 minutes later and said they could get it taken care of that same day if I wanted them to. I decided to have it done the same day. They gave me another time window and called when they were on their way. 1 man came and installed the new one and was out in a couple of hours. I was able to use a $15 off Angies List coupon taking the total down to $765. I thought this was pretty good since they were selling a Big Deal with a different company at the time for a 40 gallon installed tank for $750. I did not use the big deal because I was not sure at the time if my problem was actually the hot water heater. I do not know what brand the Big Deal was for, but Jack Woods installed a Rheem for me which I have heard is a good brand.

Replaced drainpipes from kitchen sink to basement drain and installed previously purchased disposal -- excellent work, did not exceed the cost estimate.

Very good. Dave was very personable and professional. Will definitely call again and ask for him.

1/16/14- Worker arrived within scheduled time frame, had to cut pipes to fit new heater. They were done within 1 1/2 to 2 hours. 1/22/14- Worker arrived within scheduled time frame. He had to remove piping from old sump pumps. Took two hours. He showed me how to test the new pump. Good job.

After being without a refrigerator for a month (after the old one failed), the new one was delivered on Saturday, December 14, 2013. Unfortunately, it could not be hookep up and used immediately, as the copper ice maker water supply line would not fit into the back of the refrigerator due to a swelled fitting. We called Jack J. Woods Plumbing (that we had used previously) on Monday morning at 7:05 AM. We explained our situation, made an appointment for Tuesday, December 17, 2013, the very next day. Their technication came out on time by noon Monday, fixed the refrigerator connection problem, and even more important, noticed and replaced the old ice maker stop (connection) with the main water supply line in the basement. The new stop (connection) was up to code and the recommended type of part, while the older one, while adequate for now, would have failed in a few years and made quite a mess in the basement. This company notices such details and takes care of them. Everything has worked great since.

They were extremely courteous and professional through all lines of communication. The service rep arrived on time as scheduled and performed all necessary work quickly. He was clean, friendly and thorough. I thought it was strange that the service rep had to take my credit card to his car to complete the paperwork. That made me feel slightly uncomfortable, not because of a lack of trust with him, but because I never like to let my credit cards get out of sight. I would have preferred that he completed any paperwork in front of me - in the house - rather than in his car. Other than than, I was highly satisfied with Jack L. Woods Plumbing.

Our initial call was due to a clog in the kitchen sink. The provider called before coming, was polite, neat and stayed almost 2 hours to assure the entire problem was resolved, rather than doing a quick fix which would require a subsequent visit. A week later...all is well!

Emergency service. Stopped running water in tub.

Tim was very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. He had patience while I asked a lot of questions. Would love to have Tim work on our plumbing issues in the future.

It went absolutely fantastic.

I used this company for years to come and take care of my own house and two other houses that I manage for other people. These are old houses in Clintonville so it is common to have Clogs and leaks often. The minimum charge is $76 and over the past six months I've called them twice for the same problem. Each time they were in the house less than five minutes. Decided to replace the garbage disposal on the second visit they refused to give a break on that minimum charge if they come back in a couple days to install a new one. I would have to pay it again in addition to the cost of the garbage disposal. I'm not one to ask for discounts very often, but I think this seems a little ridiculous.

He is very good. He is always prompt and helpful.

They are responsive, competitive, and prompt. They have done water heater, faucets, toilets, and general plumbing.

Called and made appointment. Gentleman who answered was very courtious and attentive. Stated they would call between given times to confirm someone home and have a repairman out. I received call on the appointment date, during the hours given, stating a repairman would be out. Repairman did show up during time frame given. Very pleased with that. Repairman, upon entering house was very proffessional and courtious. Immediately put on shoe covers. Repairman was told problem and he had no issues taking care of repairs and did so in timely manner. Accessed that leak was not a pipe and gave advice as to what cause was and how to avoid in the future. Repairman offered for me to call him with any further questions upon his exit. I feel the service was preformed at a very fair price. After departure and the water was turned back on, I had a problem with the sink next to the toilet that was repaired. Water would only trickle out when turned on (not air in the pipes). I called back after hours and left a message expecting to hear back the next day as it was not an emergency. I received a phone call a short time later (same night) by a gentleman who stated he was checking messages and wanted to get back to me. He stated that this could be a common issue after turning water off then back on and gave me a solution to try. I did what he advised and sure enough, this was the answer to the problem. The quick response and advice given to keep from having repairman return was greatly appreciated.

So far so good. Haven't gotten the bill yet though.

Provider was contacted by phone on Friday, January 10 to make a service call to repair problems with a laundry room sink. Provider offered to set appointment for either Wednesday morning or afternoon, January 15. I selected morning and provider indicated they would call before arriving at the house. Provider call at around 9:15 a.m. to inform that my house was their next job after completing the one that their professionals were currently performing. An estimate of up to 90 minutes in arrival time was provided. Approximately, four hours later at several minutes after 1:00 p.m I received a call from the provider indicating that they were ready to come to my house. I informed the provider that I was canceling the appointment due to the fact that they failed to arrive and perform the work in the morning which they had scheduled and that I had other business to attend to in the afternoon. I cannot vouch for the quality or work that is associated with this provider, however, I can say that I will never choose to do business again with a company that does not have the professional courtesy or necessary programs in place to adhere to reasonable punctuality in keeping appointment times with their customers. All this company had to do was call me in the morning and indicate that they were running behind and may not be able to make it to my house until the afternoon or give me the opportunity to reschedule. Instead they continued to mislead me into thinking that they were to arrive and perform their work in the morning with no follow-up call to advise otherwise. It is very rare that I have encountered this type of neglect and failure to keep an appointment with no forewarning, however, as mentioned, it would completely discourage me from allowing this company to do any work for me in the future. Providers such as this need to realize that their customers time and schedules are important as well!.
