They normally got the schedule ahead and moved it up because my old one just kept running. They came right on time. I have used them 10 times.

A plumber named Mark came out to do the work, which took him less than an hour. He charged me $62 for the parts and $114 for the labor. He then gave me a $5 Angie's List discount. I thought the labor charge was a bit high given the short amount of time the work took him to complete. Mark only briefly told me what he did with the toilets and left me with an unsure feeling about the need for and quality of the work. Shortly after his visit, the master bath toilet began running again. I called Jack Woods Plumbing, and they scheduled a time for Mark to come out again. (I think they like to send back the same plumber who did the original work, which is understandable.) Mark went upstairs and did something (again, not explaining what) and told me that the toilet should now be alright. A couple days later, I called Jack Woods Plumbing to report that the toilet was again running. This time they sent Barry. Barry determined that Mark had installed a red flapper that was defective. (Barry showed me the rough bottom of the red flapper. Because it was not smooth, it did not create a tight seal.) Barry said that they had been having trouble with the red flappers and had switched to another type that was blue. He replaced the red flapper with a blue one. He also clipped the black refill tube up to prevent water from siphoning out. Barry was very good about explaining and showing me what was happening. I think that the service you get from Jack Woods Plumbing is dependent upon the person they send out to do the work. If I call them for service again, I'll specifically ask for Barry.

Fair price. Had issue with pipe the following week and they came immediately and corrected for no additional cost.

He did a great job - told us exactly what he would be doing before he did it. But the main thing is while he was here he discovered anothe leak from the main floor bathroom we did not know existed. He corrected the problem and then checked the other bathrooms as well. This is class work!

Awesome. Arrived on time. Very efficient and nice. We have used them in the past and will continue to use them for all of our plumbing needs.

They were here but didn't do anything. They weren't going to get someone out originally because they said it would be overtime. They finally got someone out. The toilet upstairs was leaking. He did a very poor inspection of the toilet upstairs and all he did was cut a hole so the water could drip. He said we could close the valve or not but it would not be a problem if we left it open to use. He did not empty out the tank or the bowl and I know he should have done that after speaking with another company. He left in a hurry and never explained anything. He said something about replacing our floor which does not need to be replaced because of the toilet. The leak never stopped after he left and they called us a half hour after he left and told us they couldn't fix it until this upcoming Thursday. The toilet leaked constantly over the weekend and we had to use shammys and things to soak it up. They just kept telling us about overtime and kept telling us it would have to wait until next week. We ended up having to call our neighbor to help us come over so we could do it ourselves. We found that there was a problem with the o ring and the guy from Jack Woods never even checked for that or did anything about it. They never did what they should have done and had plenty of time to fix it. He just wanted to get out as quickly as possible and didn't care to fix our toilet. I will give them credit that they said they will not be sending a bill for the service and they understand my disappointment.

My cold water wouldn't turn all the way off in the shower suddenly and it was a heavy stream. So much so that I had to turn if off overnight. I called Jack Woods early in the morning and they gave me a 10am - 3pm window for service. Called and got out there closer to 3pm but that's still fair. They cleaned out the stem of the shower dial that was gunked up and was causing the water to run and only charged an hour of labor. It's nice to know there are honest people in the world to call for repairs.

Barry from Jack L. Woods arrived in a timely manner, scoped out the issues and went to work immediately. He corrected all of the problems quickly and professionally and took care of related minor issues as he went. I have used Jack. L. Woods Plumbing in the past and intend to continue to use them. They have done good work at a reasonable price with polite and skilled personnel.

Dave & Rick were very professional, helpful and efficient. They provided options with the outdoor faucet, but determined it was a quick repair of the back flow instead. They corrected work performed by a different plumber on my new dishwasher. They were very informative while performing the work. We were very pleased.

The faucett was the lever type witches hot and cold water. It sheared off from the inner workings of the valve. The serviceman was able to fachion a new inner part and have the sink back in service within less than an hour. He came out the same day we called him.

The past jobs were done well, on time and professionally. I expect it will be the same this time. I encourage everyone who needs plumbing work on the north end of Columbus to use this company.

We were originally told we couldn't get an appointment for five days, but when Tim finished a previous job, the office called and asked if he could come that day. He came when he said he would, diagnosed everything, repaired everything, cleaned up, and was out of the house in about two hours. Personable, pleasant, and nothing fazed him, including our nosy dog. We would hire him again in a moment.

Right from the get-go this company demonstrated a complete lack of respect for me and my time. I called to schedule an estimate to plumb a new bath in my basement. They ended up scheduling a 6 hr window - 10-3. They refused to narrow down that time frame so I ended up sitting around my house all day waiting for them. When they finally came, I indicated I was looking for some creative ways to cut costs. They didn't listen and came up with quite a few costly ways to rack up my bill, such as moving the hot water tanks 8 inches. 2 weeks after they left, I called because I still hadn't received an estimate. They assured me they would find out what happened and call me back. They never did. Finally, 3 1/2 weeks after the meeting, they mailed me an estimate and didn't even include an option I had requested they include separately. Their lack of respect for my time, horrible responsiveness, unwillingness to listen and meet my needs, and high price lost them my business.

I called on Wednesday morning for a hot water heater quote. The quote was thorough including the City of Columbus inspection fee as well as the potential fee for a pan since the hot water heater is in the basement. Unfortunately the first appointment was Friday morning (this is why I gave a C for responsiveness). The installer arrived on time, did a thorough and neat job. He answered all my questions and I am very pleased.

It was great, he knew exactly what to do, was very efficient and super friendly. Will definitely use them again.

It went extremely well. I received a called that the plumber was on his way. He arrived on time and I showed him the new faucet and the one I wanted replaced. He proceeded to quietly work on replacing the faucet and before I knew it (less than 1 hour), he had the old faucet replaced with the new one, the kitchen sink area cleaned up and ready to go. The faucet is working very well and we have not had any issues with the entire job. I will certainly use Jack Woods when I need more plumbing work. Thank you.

Barry arrived 30 minutes before scheduled time, which was very appreciated. He called before to say he was on his way. He was very professional and cleaned everything when finished. He even spent extra time in my kitchen trying to unclog the soap dispenser at my sink! He also gave us an unexpected 10% discount. He answered questions about another issue we were having with our washer and recommended someone who may be able to fix it, since they don't do washer repair. I will call them again when plumbing repairs are needed.

Was not an emergency, but I could tell one of the two pumps was no longer functioning. They were still able to come out the next day, install two new ones, kept the area nearby clean (my basement is carpeted and finished), and did the job in a very short period of time. Very professional, I use Jack L Woods again and again and get an excellent result each time.

I called Jack L Woods and they were able to accommodate me quickly, and with a service call first thing in the morning as I requested. Mark was the person who performed the work. He was punctual, very professional and did the job in much less time than I had expected, saving me quite a bit of money. In addition, this Company charged far less per hour than I was expecting. A great value.

The repair person arrived as scheduled and checked both the inside and outside in the area with the problem. In doing this, he found that the sump pump was fine but the drain had never been installed properly and over time, had separated on the outside. He proceded to reinstall the drain pipe correctly and correct the separation problem. While performing this work, he explained what the problem was, what needed to be done, approximately how long it would take, and the cost. He was very pleasant, professional, did a good job, and cleaned up afterward. Since having the work done, we no longer have a problem with water/dampness. We have used this company in the past and have always been pleased with their work.

We’ve already used them for about 7 times and that’s why we keep calling them. I think they have a fair price. We’ve never had them come back on anything yet. We’ve been probably using them for about 10 to 12 years. They always answer and comments as much as possible. They are here right on the mark. They are always very nice and do whatever you want to check other things.
