My teenager damaged a toilet. I thought it needed to be replaced. I called Jack L Woods and within two hours they sent the nicest repair person. He sized up the situation, was able to repair the damaged toilet when he could have sold me a new one, and put everything back together, good as new!

No surprises and quality work, as usual.

Plumber arrived around 9:30 (our service window was 8-12). He completed the work without any incident and was very respectful of our home. The cost was a bit high but we did opt to purchase their upgraded toilets which were substantially more expensive than the base model so that likely drove our cost up more than it would have been otherwise. We have used Jack L. Woods for many years and will continue to do so.

I have never had a better experience with a home service provider! We called Mr. Wood this morning because both of our sump pumps failed and flooded our basement. He did not have anyone available but said he would come after hours unless he could fit us in earlier. He called my cell phone at 1:40 indicating someone was on the way. I missed the call but they came anyway when my daughter was home and installed the two pumps even though I was not there to pay them. This is service you do not see anywhere today. I will only use Mr. Wood's plumbing services at my home going forward, and since we often need plumbing work in our business, I will ask our teams to consider his services there.

He completed the job quickly and clean. He was a real experienced plumber and a pleasure to work with. I will be calling Jack L. Woods plumbing in the future. He also advised me on my water filter and various other plumbing needs.

The plumber replaced corroded drain line inside the basement bathroom sink vanity cabinet, that was leaking. He replaced the kitchen sink faucet with one I had previously purchased, and replaced the broken kitchen garbage disposal. A few days after the service call, the check valve on the basement sump pump developed an impressive leak and Jack Woods was called back to replace that. On both service calls the technicians arrived on time, worked quickly with a minimum of fuss, were courteous and professional.

I've used Jack Woods for several jobs and have always been pleased with the work. This job was installing a new gas line in the basement and out to the meter. The installer and helper did a great job. The person who did the estimate was very helpful also.

He came in and fixed it. Showed me how to work it and change the setting. They did a very excellent work. They were very informative and very educational. I learned a lot from them.

I was able to schedule the work in a timely manner. They were on time to make the replacement,and all went well. We have used them many times and have always been very satisfied with their work.

The drain for the kitchen sink was completely clogged when Bill arrived from Jack L. Woods Plumbing. I had an eleven to three time slot and he arrived at 11:30a.m. The pipe was a very long horizontal run from the sink to the point it exited the basement and it had 20 years of grease accumulation. Bill had to cut the pipe in order to clean out both halves and his determination to finish the job was uncommon and appreciated. He assured my wife that he would not leave until the drain was unclogged. Many plumbers and even those who specialize in drain service give up and leave, but he carried out buckets of sludge until he finally opened the drain. He was here for over two hours and in the end the bill was $195.00 total which was very fair for the amount of work he did. Finally, he totally cleaned up the mess. This is the second time I have used this plumber and both times they did what the said, when they said, and for the amount they said. I would definitely recommend Jack L.Woods. They are a refreshing experience.

When I made the appt. I was told by the office the plumber would arrive sometime between 12pm and 4pm on 6/5/14. At 3:59pm I received a phone call from the office that their plumber was on his way. That did bother me that they were that far behind. I understand things happen during the day with other appts but a call a little earlier in the afternoon that they were running behind would have been nice. The plumber, Bill, was very nice when he did arrive and got to work quickly to repair the cracked indoor water pipe that had occurred from freezing over the winter. The cracked water pipe led to an outdoor faucet and he offered to install a water valve on that particular water line so I can drain the water out of it for future winters to avoid any further frozen pipe problems. He had to replace the outdoor faucet as part of the repair and the new one that was installed was better than the faucet that had been there from when the house was built in 1992. I had lots of questions about what he was doing as I watched him perform the repair and he never seemed bothered and answered all of them politely. He kept the repair area clean.

It only took him about 10 minutes to fix my issue, and he even allowed me to inqure about another issue that I had. Since he left, I haven't had any further problems with the toilet.

They were prompt, courteous and friendly. They were a little late showing up but once they got here the actual job went quickly. We didnt have money to pay them that day so they decided to send the bill later. Very accomadating.

Jack Woods Plumbing was called to repair a hot water heater that wouldn't stay lit. It turned out to be a simple reset button that we were unaware of and only took a few minutes to get things going. Because we had to pay for the hour of work, the plumber did some clean up maintenance on the hot water heater we wouldn't have been able to do. We appreciated the extra effort!

I actually had them do the work at my elderly mother's house. They came to attach a shower head and then came back to fix the leaking faucet. They did a good job and even had someone run a part out to them that they didn't have.

Good professional job, as has been the case at the other times we have used them in the past.

I got it in my head that I could/should try to change a very old and corroded toilet angle valve with a slow-drip leak. Thankfully, the toilet was in our guest room, so we were able to shut off the water to the toilet and leave it be for awhile. I bought the part, and tried to change it out on Friday afternoon right before Memorial Day weekend. Given the age of the part, I uninstalled it incorrectly (i.e., couldn't get it off of the copper pipe and probably stripped the threads). As such, it was now leaking much more heavily, even when the water was turned off locally at the toilet. So, we had to turn off the water to our entire house to stop the leak (as there was no shutoff valve for our upstairs). I called Jack L. Woods Plumbing at 4:00 on a Friday right before a holiday weekend. Knowing it was going to be "overtime" anywhere I called, I had no problem with the additional cost. That said, their technician came to our house at 9:00 PM to fix the problem. He explained what had happened and what I'd done wrong (which helped me in case I ever have to do it again in the future), and fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. He was courteous, professional, and the fact that he was willing to come out that late on a Friday before a holiday weekend... talk about going the extra mile. We'll be calling Jack L. Woods Plumbing again for some estimates on work that we'd like to have done, for sure.

We have a circa 1927 sink. No one has been able to find parts for it. The parts were stripped and the cold water handle no longer worked. Several plumbers have expressed concern about parts potentially breaking and then we would have to tear everything out and replace. The plumber from Jack Woods realized that the shut off parts are the same as the hot and cold water parts. Since we don't need to keep turning the shut off handles and, if needed we can shut off the water in the basement, he swapped out the shut off for the cold water handle with the shut off handle. There are no leaks and both handles work. We feared we would be facing a bathroom remodel and instead, the repair cost was minimal.

All in all, the service provided by Jack L. Woods Plumbing Co., Inc. was great. The gentleman who came to replace our garbage disposal was very professional and completed the job very quickly. My only complaints are that it took about a week for the company to get me on the schedule and that the drive time to my home counted as part of the service call. Despite my complaints, I would definitely use them again in the future.

This is the first time I've ever written a review, but, I just want to praise and thank Bill, the plumber who came. He was very efficient, explained everything he was doing, showed me the problem and how to fix it. I always ask a lot of questions, because I like to learn how things work. He was very gracious and answered all my questions, explaining everything to me. This is the first time I've used Jack Woods Plumbing and I would highly recommend them. Thank you, Bill.

Of course a hot water heater begins to leak just before a holiday! Add to that the fact that our hot water heater was a non-standard one! Jack L. Woods plumbing scheduled a replacement for our hot water heater the day after the holiday. The repairman was prompt and courteous, and his work was done professionally. Not only did he do the work scheduled, but also replace a freeze damaged outdoor faucet, repaired a shower leak, and diagnosed an issue with our kitchen faucet. We were extremely pleased with the work and the value we received. We will definitely use their services again!

I had 3 bathroom faucets repaired. They came out in a timely manner, very friendly and professional.
