They have always done a good job in my home.

They had replaced my water heater in 2004. Recently I went to the basement and it was leaking at the bottom. I had them come out to see why there was water under the water heater. It was leaking between the sides and bottom of the water heater. They replaced it before I ended up with 50 gallons of water in my basement. I didn't shop around a lot regarding the price.

Arrived on time; Gave excellent recommendations for future work. perform a minor repair with no charge.

It went okay. I did have to call the company back because their fix leaked. They ended up having to come back but fixed the issue in 5 minutes. They were able to come out the same day I called.

I had called a week ahead to make an appointment since I had to take a day off to be home for the work. I scheduled the appointment for the 21st, from 12-4. I called around 12 on the 21st just to see where I was in the schedule. I spoke with the dispatcher (a gentleman, I didn't get his name). He told me he couldn't find my appointment, but that would not be a problem he would send someone as soon as possible. Barry (truck 114) was at my house in about a half hour. I had not gone into as much detail for what I needed done because I had already done that a week prior when I thought I had made the appointment. All Barry was told was "find cause of high water bill". The first thing he did when he got here was head upstairs to my lavatory and check the toilet. It was over filling, but not to the point where I would hear it. He adjusted it. Then I told him about the other three things i needed done. He was a little surprised and said they hadn't told him exactly what needed to be done. He was able to get all the things done on the list in a very quick and efficient manner. You can tell when someone is going fast just to get something done and when they are going fast because they know what they are doing. He knew what he was doing. He put in a new disposal in about 15 minutes from start to finish. He was done with everything in about an hour and a half. He cleaned up after himself and did not leave a mess. The best part is he showed me how to read the blue dial on my inside meter, if it is moving something is running, if there is no movement there is no water running that I will have to pay for! I even went down a couple times myself to check just to make sure I understood what he had taught me to do. I thought this was extremely nice because now I can check on my own to see if there is a problem. My bill was $374, but $209 of that was my new disposal. He had three different ones on his truck and gave me the rundown and pricing on all three. I took the middle priced one. There was no pressure for me to buy the most expensive one and when he was giving me the options he compared it to what I currently have so there was a point of reference. Without the disposal, my bill would have been $165. That is extremely reasonable for the work done. At the end of the service call, my little blue dial was completely still! I would highly recommend Jack L. Woods, they kind of messed up my appointment, but fixed that right away and sent out a very skilled technician. I had worried about this for a week and it was a great relief with how it turned out. Thank you Barry and the gentleman who does the dispatching. You have made a life long customer.

Overall the service went well. The technician was very prompt and upfront that an estimate for the work could not be provided on the spot as he needed to review this at the shop. He took several photos of the issue and said they would send a quote in a day or two, which they did. He addressed the loose toilet and added a new supply line when he was done. I felt this went well and thought the price for the repairs was fair.

Very professional service. Was early. Did all of the work that i had requested and I am very happy with all of it. I felt the price was fair. No complaints.

Dave called about 30 minutes ahead to tell me he was on his way. He very professionally and quickly assessed what needed to be done and took care of the issues. This was a time and materials job and the estimate was 2-3 hrs based on my sketchy description of the problems over the phone; he completed the job in under an hour.

I called to schedule for service around 9:00am and they had someone at my house by 10:45am. It took the person around 15 minutes to complete his work. He was professional and friendly. He even provided me suggestions regarding toilet brands to consider if we look to replace the toilet. I definitely will use them again if I have a plumbing need!

A person from a different plumbing company had told me that most of the copper pipe in my basement was corroded and needed to be replaced. He gave me quote, just off the top of his head, of over $1000. I didn't feel comfortable with this casual quote, so I went to Angies List and found Jack Woods Plumbers. When I called, I was able to get an appointment within a week. Bill came at the appointment time and did an assessment. He showed me that there were 2 sections of pipe that were in bad shape and needed to be replaced. He said the rest of the pipes didn't look that bad. He said I could either just replace the 2 sections that were bad or I could replace all of it with plastic pipe. He took measurements and notes and called me the next morning with the estimates. He estimated the smaller job at $430 and if I wanted to replace all the pipe it would be a little over $1000. I chose to only replace the bad pipes and made an appointment for the next week. Bill came out and did the work. I thought he was professional. The repair didn't take very long and he cleaned up after himself. I would definitely use this company again. .

From my call, to the completion of the repair, Jack Woods Plumbing was professional and everything you'd want in a plumbing company. Technician Barry, actually needed less than ten minutes to replace the part and completely solve the problem. He was also very helpful in explaining what had likely caused the dripping, and how the new part would most likely eliminate the problem and avoid a reoccurrence. After dealing with several plumbing companies over the years, I'm convinced that Jack Woods will be my choice from now on! I would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know.

Overall, the installations went well, although it did require a follow-up visit to fine tune the initial work. The toilet upstairs needed the screw and cap adjusted while the one downstairs needed the lid placement adjusted. Since the company did not charge for the follow-up visit and adjustments, I will continue to use them for all plumbing services. We have been pleased with all the other work they have done in the past.

He found the affecting pipe and this was unique. Instead of trying to replace the entire line which mean tearing up walls, floors and things like this but the technician was able to sense it was a double tank so he tied the cold water line from one tank into the faucet of the defective tank neutralizing the water line.

I had to replace a shower floor and pan and the drain needed replaced too. I called Jack Woods plumbing at the recommendation of Grout Medic. Excellent recommendation! I really appreciate the prompt courteous service. Even though I had to pay after hours rate, they price was incredibly reasonable. From now on, these guys are my go to plumbers! Highly recommended. A++!!!

The faucet repair, so far, seems to be ok. The handle seems a little loose, but maybe that's the way it should be? I was told by the plumber that he couldn't fix the stopper in the bathroom sink - it was adjusted as much as it could be. He said I could call Moen and ask for a replacement kit (the faucet/stopper is just over a year old - find it difficult to believe that it would already have a problem) and could see if that worked. The plumber said he could snake the drain in the shower, but it would be a waste of time. If it was draining ok, snaking it would do no good. If this is the case, I question why I wasn't told this by the gentleman who scheduled my appointment since I told him at the time that there was not a problem w/drainage, but just wanted it done as a preventative thing. One of the first things the plumber asked me was if I had any paper towels he could use. This really bugs me when a person charges me $68.40 to do a repair and doesn't bring his own paper towels. This is not the first time this has happened. I can't imagine going on a job without the essential equipment that you need, charging the prices they do, and then expecting the customer to furnish part of their materials. Is the company so cheap that they don't provide their service men paper towels or are the service men not trained how to properly load a truck to be prepared for a job? I'm very disappointed in this whole experience. There is not a choice provided by Angie's List of "maybe" in the question as to whether or not I would use the provider again. If there were, that's what I would have checked, not "yes." I try to be fair and not say a flat out "no", but at this point, I'm really not sure.

We have used their services over the past ten years. We have been very pleased with them.

I called Jack Woods plumbing on the Tues the 8th of July. I was scheduled for the next day between 10am and 3pm. The office called in advance to say the plumber was on his way. He arrived about 20mins after the office call. My kitchen faucet needed to be fixed because the base was not stable. It's a single handle pull out spray. The base is not suppose to move just the handle. Dave S. was great. He took what he could apart but the base could not be removed. He asked if I had any paper work on the faucet which I did. He told me I had a lifetime warranty on that faucet. He called the company and explained he was a plumber at a clients house and explained that he couldn't remove a basic part to stablize the faucet. The company stated they didn't make that exact type anymore so they will replace the entire faucet. I was delighted. The company had a record of my having a part replaced on the same faucet several years ago. After that was taking care of Dave, moved to the toilet that was dripping from the turn off valve. He adjusted the valve and fixed some the mechanisms in the toilet. I had him check a half bath which needed a flap replacement. Now all works well . He will be back to install the new faucet when it arrives.

The plumber was friendly, courteous, professional.

This was the first time that I used them. The service done was really good, they fixed the problem, and I need to call them back because two of the toilets are running. They did a nice job, and everything was fine. They sent two people out, and I was confused, because I had called ahead of time for the price, and they had given it to me. They explained it nicely to me, so everything was fine. The charge was higher, but it was fine.

I had a kitchen faucet blow up on me. I had a lifetime warranty and they came in and got the warranty handled for me, so I didn't get charged a dime to have it replaced. I have 2 fake knees so I let them do the work and they were very expediant and very professional. It was worth the labor cost to have them do it.

The window of time they were supposed to be at my house was from 12-4pm. I received a call while still at work at 11:30 stating that the repair tech was right down the street from my house and finished up a job. I explained to the person I spoke to on the phone that I was packing up leaving work and heading for home, but wouldnt be there for another 20 mins he told me that was no problem, that the tech would just wait for me. When I arrived at my house at 11:50am, the tech was waiting in the drive way. I explained to him what needed done, and he gave me a quote. He then mentioned, that "WE ARE ALREADY ON THE CLOCK" since his arrival. He quoted me 2 hours and told me that if it was less he would just take it off. After he was done explaining everything to me, I questioned how we were already on the clock. His explanation: We automatically add in 20 minutes for drive time, and the clock started when I pulled into your driveway. (At this point, I should have just sent this guy on his way) ******BUYER BEWARE******* I really needed the work just to be done, so I just went forward and told him to do it. The entire job took him ONE hour to complete, the guy was out of my driveway at 1:00pm. When I received my bill, I was changed TWO hours for the job at 76.00 per hour. I guess ?THE CLOCK? started when I first received my phone call. The worked performed, was done correctly,but that?s the only good thing I can say about this company and its way of nickel and diming people for extra time on their bill. Would not recommend this company to anyone for this reason.
