B&T Roofing Ltd

I received an estimate on October 19, 2008 and the contract was signed on Oct 30, 2008. The actual work did not begin until approximately 3 weeks later, after a few phone calls to the company. Around 20 Nov. 2008, they finally completed the roof the 3rd week in December; over a month to complete. Some of the delay was weather related, but most of the problem was due to short working hours and not putting enough men on the job. Also there was problems with the quality of work that was only corrected when a SUPERVISOR finally came to inspect the work after a number of calls.

It was a great experience! Plenty of references. Was very cooperative about helping us pick a color. Sent us to different addresses to see what it would really look like. All workers were on time, very cooperative & polite.

I was very pleased with this company. I scheduled the appointment, then came out the next day and gave a written estimate and fixed the problem the following day. Everyone was very professional and I am happy with the work.

The job was bid by three Angie's List contractors. All three were told the same things for the bid. The key item was that the work had to be done during a certain time frame. (I needed to be there for the entire project due my dogs getting worked up over outsiders and the noise.) B&T was selected and Dick Pope was reminded of when the work needed to be completed when the deposit was given. He said he would take care of it. I called 3 times for updates on when the work would start. Finally I was told they would start the day after my window had ended. I rearranged my schedule to be there. They called the morning that they were to start and said they could not be there the until the next day. After the first two days they did not cover the plants and air conditioning unit as they indicated they would. I am still finding nails and pieces of metal in the yard and driveway. The roof looks good but to the best of my knowledge their inspector never went on the roof since I was always there.

They only provided an estimate but they were very prompt, courteous and professional. I decided to go with a company that provided a lower estimate.

B & T were thoroughly professional and great to work with. They paid attention to detail and were high quality in every respect. We are very happy with our experience with B & T.

Price was lower than other companies I contacted. Work was completed in a reasonable amount of time.

They did not shovel the shingles off the roof as we would have liked them to do but the roof and workmanship was good. There was not a very good cleanup, nails everywhere and in the gutters.

Very professional and friendly. Work was done on time. We had some condensation which turned out to be from our poor roof insulation, rather than the new roof. Richard came and showed us where the problem was. Overall, we had a great experience.

It went very well. We were given an Angie's List discount without requesting it. In addition, the repairman also looked in our attic and found out why we had moisture dripping on our ceiling. He let us know that we had a moisture buildup and needed ventilation and that our roof was fine.

The quality of the work performed was fine, there were other issues that would lead me not to recommend them. I was told the work would be done at a convenient time and that I would be given 7 days advanced notice. I stated that I wanted them to wait until April or May to begin. I was called three weeks later (Feb) and was told they would be starting that day. I called back and said "no" the agreement was April/May. Several weeks later they called and again (March) they would be starting the siding that day. I was told to remove all items from the interior walls to prevent damage. I was already at work when they called so I had to make special arrangements to accommodate their request...even though this was still earlier than agreed to. During the siding install lights were broken and plants trampled. Once the roof was done, there was black tar all over the siding that took two power washings to clean. All of which I had to request, they didn't seem to notice the damage/mess.

They did a good job and I would use them again.

Our initial contact with B&T Roofing went well. Dick Pope was professional and courteous. After meeting with him twice, we signed the contract on October 3, 2007 with the added clause that the work be completed on or before November 6, 2007 so we would qualify for reimbursement of our depreciation amount from the insurance company. We did not hear from Dick, so on October 26, we called to see when we were scheduled. Dick had not yet spoken to his production manager and we were not on the calendar. We became concerned when Dick called to say he was able to schedule a November 5 start, but weather predictions did not look good for start or completion by November 6. We experienced a few stressful days. However, all's well that ends well. Our insurance company granted a few days and we did receive our depreciation money in addition to our initial claim amount. The roof looks good and final inspection was today, November 13. Dick needs some help with follow up/follow through.

During rainy weather when all roofing companies were busy, B&T scheduled an appointment with me (instead of taking my number and never responding) and their person showed up on time. Other companies promised returned calls, but never called back. He was very professional and diagnosed my problem (lucky for me, an easy fix, not a whole new roof) and fixed it right away.

I'm not entirely sure of the work but I will know once we have a heavy rain.

I was extremely pleased with my experience and they did an excellent job on my roof. It looks great.

Our first impression of this company was excellent. Richard Pope came to our house to prepare an estimate. He was friendly & really took his time explaining the roofing products available & the repair process. The work was scheduled & we were told it would take 2 - 3 days to complete the job. On the day they were supposed to begin, they called to reschedule for the following day. They showed up & began replacing the roof. Several days later, the crew showed up to work on the siding. This crew told us there were components of our roofing system missing & that there was a lot of tar splashed on our siding. I was thankful for their honesty. I also observed faulty work where the siding above our bay window was warped & bent as though something was shoved up behind it. I contacted B & T to share our concerns. They showed up to correct the work & were very apologetic. The process was disappointing because it took longer than promised & the quality of the work was questionable.

Company did a great job determining the work to be done and performing it. The employees were timely and professional and got everything done during one business day.

They were on time and very professional. They went straight to the work and were done in about three hours. They asked if we needed anything else looked at and I told them about the water overflowing the gutter on the side of our garage. They said Robert would come out and look at it the next day. He was on time and built a diverter that we thought would work, but after a hard rain I called him to return and make a few modifications to the diverter. He return and made the modifications and we have had no problems since.

Very good. Excellent planning and implementation.

I didn't like the way the put the gutter back.

They did a great job. They were very prompt and cleaned up after themselves very well. They finished the job in two and a half days and it looks great. They made sure that our roof was always covered. We would use them again.

The company was quick to respond. John Gray was the representative who performed the estimate and took the time to answer many questions; he was very knowledgeable and very helpful. B&T is excellent with follow up contact as well, and sent the estimate within days. It was a difficult decision, but we ended up going with another bid. B&T was a very close second, and I'm sure they would have done an excellent job. I would keep them on my short list of contractors for future jobs.

My roof had extra damage, so they had to replace my plywood and do other things as well. I felt their price of their roof replacement was good, but the extra work that needed to be done made the price higher. It took forever for them to start the work. After they performed the job there were some things that I was not satisfied with. The owner personally came out to fix the problems and thoroughly walked me through everything to make sure it was completed to my liking.
