A-1 Wildlife Removal

Dave was super. He is everything you want in a service provider. Very responsive and high value for the money. Also, he is very creative with his solutions. The other providers simply wanted to remove the nest and go about this business. Dave was full of ideas for eliminated the issue versus simply fixing my problem for right now. Give him a call.

I rescued a dog from a shelter 4 months ago. For those 4 months, she has diligently kept track of and chased the squirrels in the backyard but they were always too quick for her --- until that Saturday! She managed to capture a squirrel and was very proud of herself. Since I have a dog door that allows her to come and go as needed, she decided that she wanted to share her good fortune and bring the live squirrel into the house to show me. She laid it on the living room floor and sat beside it so smugly. I thought it was mostly dead so I was going to use a shovel to take it outside but as soon as I touched it, it jumped up and run under a bookcase. Love that dog!! I called two animal removal companies from Angie's List. The first wanted $260 just to come to the house and another $60 to remove the animal and all on their schedule. A-1 Wildlife Removal quoted $95 if he worked it into his schedule that day, or $200 if he dropped everything and came over. I appreciated that he did have a reasonable price structure. I chose the more expensive option as I wanted a squirrel-free house. Dave was very courteous and quickly trapped the squirrel in a net and set it free to be chased again another day. I will call this company if my mighty hunter of a dog breaks the no-animals-in-the-house rule again.

We suspected that there were a pair of red squirrels in the attic. Removal was performed by the owner. He was very courteous and thorough. Work was done during a period of snow and ice. He was very knowledgeable, knew where to set the traps, and made sure the work was completed before calling the job done. It is unusual to have 2 pairs of squirrels but in our case that was the situation. Although not suspecting a second pair, he left the traps in place and once the 3rd squirrel was caught he waited for a sufficient period of time to catch the expected 4th squirrel.

I was told by the owner that it could be Saturday afternoon, but if not, it would be early Sunday morning. Sunday morning came and went. I called him again, and he said that Saturday got out of control, but he could do it in in a little while and that he would call me back. This was around 9:00AM and I never heard from him until 3:45 PM on Sunday, and then again at 6:00 PM. Couldn't wait around all day, we had plans on Sunday afternoon. This company seems highly unorganzied and unprofessional. I would suggest you call another company, especially if you need the work done in a timely manner.

They do not use poison to get rid of the wildlife and that was good. The guy who came was great. He caught the rats in the cage and took them away. The price was reasonable. The quality of work he did was good and he took away all the trash as well.

Early in the day I discovered a motionless raccoon in a flower bed. After reviewing several companies on the list I settled on A-1 Wildlife for several reasons. First, I really perfer utilizing small owner operated businesses. Second, Dave's knowledge and advice. Third, the price. After removing the animal Dave proceeded without any prompting to give my house and yard a full inspection. He did this even though it was pouring down rain. He found a few areas that made my home vulnerable to unwanted house guest. He gave me some advice without pushing for future business. I would without a doubt utilize his services again if the need would arise.

He tried to trap the squirrels but they kept coming. He was so good; I would recommend him to anyone. He was very knowledgeable. He came and explained what the problem was and how I could prevent it from happening again in the future. It was so simple. It was a branch. All I had to do was get it trimmed. He would have trimmed it himself. However, he did not have a ladder and neither did I. He was great. He knew wildlife and their habitat. I don’t think I will be using anybody else for this kind of work in the future.

They were very responsive. They came out the same day we called and were very courteous. They were easy to work with, had good communication, and they were a very good company to work with.

Great. He did a pre-analysis of where they were entering the house, then showed up the next day to place traps near the point of entry. Our job as the homeowner (per Ohio law) was to call every day before 8am to report the contents of the cage. When we had a squirrel, he came and picked up the squirrel to drive it to a release site. It took about 2 weeks, because he wanted to make sure that the issue was resolved (had caught the right animal). Once he deemed us in the clear, he came and got his traps and returned a couple of days later with an itemized invoice.

He cares about the animals he catches. He will not leave an animal in a cage over 24 hours. He's a very nice and caring guy. He's very courteous and professional. He's just an overall nice guy. His prices are fair, reasonable and affordable

The bats were caught, Dave sent them out for rabies testing, Dave got back to us that they were not rabid, Dave hooked us up with someone who could come bat-proof our house (Dirk), we received an estimate on what should be done--all within a week. Living in the woods as we do, we will keep their number by the phones.

He came out and looked over the area surrounding my property, specifically where the raccoons seemed to be coming into my yard. He set four traps that closed the door behind the raccoon, but did not hurt the animal. The second night two were caught. (He has the customer check the cages each morning and call him to report whether there are any animals he should come and get.) When he picked them up he put new bait in new cages and we repeated the same procedure.

They are professional, courteous, on time and reasonably priced.

He initially said that he would only charge if he removed the animal, but he arrived and said he was going to charge for the visit. When I told him about my impression, he was understanding and did not charge. In the end, he said that there wasn't a way for the squirrels to be getting in the house.

Dave was knowledgeable, a good listener, meticulous in his work, and even forgot to bill me, I had to remind him twice. He spends as much time as it takes, I didn't feel rushed or 'just another customer'. Great job.

They always called back, and also trimmed some branches that were hanging around the garage which was a big help.

I came home from work yesterday to find a dead animal lying in my driveway. I had no idea what kind of animal it was. I live in the city and am used to cats and dogs but this was neither. A year or two ago, I had gotten Dave's business name on Angie's List and contacted him to come out and remove a live bird from my chimney. I was so impressed with his knowledge of wild animals and his gentleness with the bird that I called him about this dead animal in my drive. Dave asked me to describe it and when I did, he told me it was a possum. His knowledge of wild animals is amazing. Dave had just left my area and was almost home but was willing to come back right away and remove the animal, but since it was already dead, I told Dave it would be OK to come the next day. When I got home from work today, the animal had been removed. Dave is one of the most knowledgeable and honest business person I have ever met, and his prices are very affordable. In fact, he charged me $62 and some odd cents, but I just rounded it up to $63 for my convenience.

The injured animal was gone from my roof when he got to my house, so he inspected and then explained what it might have been. He was very knowledgeable about wildlife, and I was reassured that the animal was gone and was not in my attic. Because he did not find anything, he said he wouldn't charge me, but I did pay him something anyway.

He removed the squirrels from underneath the shingles.

As always, Dave's service was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and professional.

Dave came over the same day I called, installed a few traps with bait, and returned every day to inspect the traps and replace them. He explained everything and answered all my questions patiently. As a vegetarian and animal lover I hate to have to kill animals, but he helped me get at peace with it.

Dave did a fantastic job. He caught 7 groundhogs in 3 days. My wife was very upset that the groundhogs were going to be taken and euthanized and Dave did a very nice job demonstrating that he did this as a service and that he did not enjoy that part of the job. My wife was much more comfortable with this unfortunate situation thanks to his demeanor and comments. He is very friendly and got right out on the job when I contacted him. I called 4 companies and 3 gave quotes over the phone. They were essentially the same. Dave just made me feel like he was a bit ahead of the rest.

Very responsive. Placed call after 5 pm and he called me back within the hour. He was there the next day to get rid of the critter. He was the least expensive of the companies I called.
