We have worked with Scott for nearly 30 years, and he has painted all four of our houses, interior and exterior. Scott is extremely thorough, very reliable and treats our house like it's his own. Very reasonable pricing - he's not the cheapest or most expensive - but you get more than you pay for. We cannot believe how bad our house looked before, seeing how beautiful is was after! Scott was very conscientious about getting every detail right, cleaned up after himself & even dealt with some leaky window issues I didn't even realize I had.

He came back a couple of months later to fix a couple of cracks in our plaster walls in the one bedroom. They did a fine job overall. He had 2 assistants with him and it went very well. I was very pleased. He was very friendly and agreeable with whatever I asked.

This is the third time we've had Scott do exterior staining on our house and the first time we've had him replace some damaged cedar siding.  He works alone and as such the overall quality of work is consistent (and outstanding).  He is reliable, trustworthy and hard working, and cleans up very well after himself.  As compared to the prior contractor we used, Scott's painting technique results in a very long lasting finish that really impresses us every time.  His work on the siding replacement, power washing, and caulking was excellent as well.  If we are still living here when it's time to paint again we will without question contact Scott once more.

This project went just as others we have had done by Scott Popplewell.  He is very careful and efficient.  The finished work is always excellent quality.  We have used him for several painting projects over 15 years and are very comfortable recommending him.

He provided the estimate, gave an approximate timeframe of when the work would be started.  (not an exact date because of the unknown weather conditions.  He completed the work in a timely manner, cleaned up, and stayed within the estimate.

Scott did a great job!  Shows up, does his work, without supervision and cleans up afterward.  This is the third time he has painted this house!  I will have him back for interior work this winter.  Thanks Scott!!

Scott was punctual about giving us an estimate in the fall and contacting us in the spring to start the work. He was here all day other than on one rainy day. Cleaned up each day, asked permission to leave ladders and trailer. House looks great. We have had Scott paint our house in the past and it is always a great experience.

Scott?s work was excellent, and he helped provide guidance as to the type of paint that we should consider for different surfaces. He is highly reliable and truly displayed great technique, cleaned up well, and was willing to add an additional coat of paint to a new door that wasn?t as smooth as we wanted. This is the third time we have used Scott Popplewell to paint our house. Scott has always, and continues, to do a great job. He is professional and shows up when he says he will. All of the painting and staining that Scott did for us was very well done and we would definitely use him again. We thought that Scott had gone out of business this summer when we were looking to have our house repainted. We contracted with another painter who sent out a flyer in the Sunday Dispatch. After coming to our home and giving us an estimate, we paid him a deposit to get the paint, and we never saw him again. This was very discouraging to us as no one has ever done such a thing to us before. After this happened, I consulted Angie's List and saw Scott's name. We were elated to find him! We contacted him immediately, and were very pleased with his service and integrity.

Scott powerwashed the house and returned in a couple of days to start painting. He was thorough and professional and answered my concerns. He decided to apply a second coat on the North side of out house because he wasn't satisfied with the preliminary results. The rest of the house turned out really nice. We received complements from the neighbors even before the job was completed.

He did an excellent job of painting the exterior of my house. He was one man and completed the house in just a few days. The price was very good and he cleaned up everything was done.
