The sales person we worked with was very helpful and knowledgeable. The installers did a great job - no mess, no hassle, no issues at all.

The JP showroom is very nice and they sell quality products. In addition, the installation quality was good. Unfortunately their sales and administration leave something to be desired. Our sales guy, Jim, seemed nice and knowledgeable. But right from the start, he seemed determined to sell us more than we wanted. He repeatedly tried to convince us to select more expensive carpet during our trip to the showroom, even after we told him it wasn't in our price range. The estimate came back much higher than we had expected. Rather than go through the hassle of another visit to the showroom to try and find less expensive carpet, we just decided to keep the old carpet in the guest bedroom. At the same time, I noticed that one of the drawings that accompanied the quote showed that a small part of another room was not being recarpeted. This was strange, because we had never discussed anything with the sales guy or the guy who came out to measure other than recarpeting all of every room. So, we got the new quote without the guest bedroom, but "corrected" to include all of the other rooms. Surprise! it was almost the same as the original quote. Apparently, we were going to pay what they wanted us to pay regardless of what we did. We were in a time crunch and did not have time to switch vendors at that point so we ordered, in spite of being disappointed. A week later, our credit card got rejected. It turned out that JP had put a hold for the entire amount on the card when we ordered, then charged the amount again when the carpet arrived. That made our card, which we manage very carefully, go over the limit. It took TWO DAYS to resolve this. And, we had told them we were paying by check anyway. They weren't supposed to have charged the card in the first place. All in all, a crummy experience. We are completely satisfied with the carpet and the installation, but would not put ourselves through the purchase experience at JP again.

Visited J.P. showroom and had a less than encouraging experience with sales person. Nothing bad...just not helpful and less than enthusastic encounter. Based on Angie's list rating we visited other installers and went back to JP. I explained the initial problem and the receptionest assigned us to Ro Listermann who became our sales person. She was most professional and helpful and we bought the floors. Within 2 weeks they were installed. Install did take 3 days vs. 2 initially planned for but the results are beautiful. We are very pleased and would reccomend this company to anyone. Each person always cleaned up every day and hauled any mess away.

They came out when I wasn't there and left a card. I had to call 3 or 4 times initially to get them to come out. I think it is outrageous that their estimate was more than 2 times (in one case, almost 3 times) more expensive than the other three estimates from Angie's List that were all A rated! They went into a full page of details of things that they would not do and would not be responsible for. I thought that was a very negative way to do an estimate.

We stopped in the showroom in West Chester to look at our options. After discussing our needs with Ro Listermann, our salesperson, we decided on a high-quality laminate over a natural hardwood. (We have a dog and young children, plus we wanted to use one room for an office -- so the laminate would better withstand more wear-and-tear without scratches.) We took home a large sample, and liked how it looked in the rooms. Once we placed our order, JP was ready to install within a week or two. They did the whole job in less than a day, though someone did have to come back to fix a couple of small things a few days later. Overall, our experience was very pleasant and professional, and we love our new floors!

They put hardwood flooring in our kitchen. They also did out family room and hall way. We got different estimates from some other people that seemed more refutable and we ended up with JP Flooring. I walked into their showroom and they were really nice. There was a woman there who guided me and she was very helpful when I did not have any idea about what to do. They called me and set up the installation and they finished it in 4 days. They sanded my kitchen floor and they put in new flooring in my dining room. So, I had all the sanding done and they used a product to keep it dust free. Although the product was expensive, it was worth it because my husband and I are allergic to dust. They used the machine to keep it dust free and it was really worth it. The flooring installation turned out to be beautiful and I was really please with it. It was a great result and I have not had any problems since then.

I was quoted a price which included removing 3 layers of vinyl flooring. When the installers began stripping the old floor, they said they could only remove one layer since the others ran under the cabinets(- I did not know at the time that this is not a problem) When I called the store I was told the price remained the same because the wooden reducers they would need cost the same as removing 2 layers of flooring! Although I did NOT believe that, I felt I had no recourse. 10 days later they installed the reducers. The floor looks good, except for the step up into the kitchen, BUT I believe I was taken advantage of on many levels- I will NOT use JP again and advise my friends to stay away

"The unfortunate installation that The Member experienced came to my attention last week. I did speak with The Member and apologized for, or failure to, install the floor to her wishes. I offered to have JP Flooring remove the floor and install to her desired height. She decided to not take the time or inconvenience of the mess for us to reinstall. After a lengthy conversation I do believe that The Member is content with our installation. Sincerely, JP Flooring Design Center"

Salesperson Marcia was extremely helpful and easy to work with. She knew her materials and really listened to what we were trying to achieve. Installers were clean and pleasant and worked diligently to make the installation look great. When installing the toe strip by our adjacent travertine tile, however, the pressure of the equipment broke one of the tiles. JP Flooring promptly sent out one of their craftsmen, Dan Grube, who did a phenomenal job making the repair look perfect even though we had no more of the exact material for him to work with. He was punctual, personable, clean, and very attentive to detail. We are very pleased with the carpet and the special "pet mistake odor repelling" pad.

The installers were very professional and did an outstanding job. The sales person we worked with was also very helpful in assisting us when we were choosing the color, style and type of floor. She was more concerned about meeting our needs than making her commission. In our experience this is often difficult to find in many retail stores. We appreciated her knowledge and honesty and will definitely buy flooring from her again. The whole experience was pleasant and we were very satisfied with the results.

It only took a week to get carpet and install. The install encountered some unforeseen problems. The previous wool padding was >20 years old and was glued to the cement. Dwyane and Justin had to scrape it off during which they discovered cat pee-great job scraping. They suggested sealing the odor using Killz and would finish installation the following day. Needless to say, I was able to reschedule for the following day with no problems. They came back and finished the job. Their workmanship was great. Everything was as expected. The entire transaction was flawless, only had to go into the store once. Everything was done over the phone. Kudos to the carpet installer guys. They did an excellent job!!

Mindy Maus was our sales clerk. No hard sell, great knowledge base of carpeting and padding for our needs. Had padding and carpeting removed and installed in a master bedroom, with walk in closet, hall, library, living room and a den. Used the the 8 lb stainmaster padding and a plush Shaw 58 weight carpet in all except a cutloop with pattern in the den. The installations were separated due to some carpentry being done. They held the carpet and did not bill us until the entire job was completed. Jessie and his partner were excellent installers! They were professional, neat, on time and even had the left over carpet bound for us. There was one price...nothing hidden.

Excellent overall experience. The sales people were very helpful selecting carpet types and colors, and managing the ordering and installation process, kept us informed throughout. Installers likewise did an excellent job, moving furniture (some a little difficult) and cleaning up.

All carpet except the runner, delayed by us because of work that needed to be done on the steps, was removed and installed with no problem on the first visit. When the runner was installed, it was installed ''waterfalled'' rather than ''contoured'', which we had ordered at additional cost. We were not home at the time of this installation or the problem probably could have been avoided. We were told by the service manager that the instruction to contour the steps did not appear on their copy of the order due to a ''computer problem''. This necessitated reordering and rebinding the runner. Just before the re-installation of the runner was to be done, we received a call from the service manager that the runner had been cut to the entire width of the steps rather than as a runner and would have to be re-cut, resulting in another delay. Several days later, the correct runner was installed. We were pleased with the end result but not with the two errors made and resulting delays.
Response from J P Flooring Design Center

"We certainly regret any delays caused by the error in installing the runner on the stairs. Every effort was made to correct the problem and in the end fulfill the client's wishes. From the member's extended comments regarding what he liked most about the contractor - "good end result" - it appears we were able to do just that. We have a reputation for standing behind our products and our installation to insure complete customer satisfaction. We sincerely appreciate this member's patience and the opportunity to fully satisfy their flooring needs. JP FLOORING DESIGN CENTER"

The carpet is absolutely beautiful. It is a much better quality than anything I have in the house. It was installed without a single flaw; no wrinkles, no bumps. We did have a little nick in the wall that we had to repair. That's fair enough. Other carpet installers have been much more rough on wood work. They cut up the old carpet, rolled it, and taped it neatly for us to dispose of as we requested.
Response from J P Flooring Design Center

"We are very pleased with this member's comments. However, I did notice that we only received a "B" in the Price category. We do shop the market on a regular basis and feel that on "like" product we are very competitively priced. Our goal is not to be the cheapest, because what we have found over 20+ plus years in business is that our clients do not want cheap, they want VALUE! From this member's comments regarding the carpet and the installation, it appears we have hit the target by providing her with an outstanding VALUE. Again, we are appreciative of her nice comments and look forward to serving her flooring needs in the future. JP Flooring Design Center."

Our sales person Dale was very good. He was so patient while we tried to select the carpet. The scheduling department was so great with us. We were rehabbing our house, so the timing was always being changed for the installation date. They were always so nice about changing the scheduled install date. Lou was our installer. He did a fantastic job. He was so talented and nice. He cleaned up our home after he was finished.

We had a great experience with JP Flooring. Their showroom has a very relaxed atmosphere, and we were able to browse at our leisure. Marcia was our salesperson, and she was very helpful and informative. The carpet was ordered quickly, and installed within a week and a half of ordering. The installation crew called to let us know that they were running about 15 minutes behind, and were on their way. The team was very professional and courteous, and installation was quick. The finished product looked great, no visible seams or ragged edges. They were a bit pricey, but the quality and service were worth it. We are planning to go back to JP in the near future, to have our family room re-carpeted.
