DEERFIELD ROOFING/SIDING

After installing a full roof with certainteed products and 30 year shingles, the same area that was addressed is leaking as of December 2013, indicating poor or no water and ice shield installation/poor workmanship. The provider is nowhere to be found and his numbers were disconnected. Very poor aftermarket service. Does not stand behind his work after it is performed but rather escapes by disconnecting his phone numbers. the A rating is a surprise!

They were responsive and timely with their quote. We didn't end up proceeding with the house so there was no need to move forward with the service. I thought they gave us a reasonable price. They were out in a timely manner. They were professional on that regard. The quote was detailed and was structured out in the way I could understand. They followed up with phone calls with my wife as well.

This is an installation from 2000 and there have been no interior leaks since despite several severe storms that damage neighboring roofs. The work crew was very careful of landscaping next to the house and damaged very little.
Bill Kovalak, the owner of Deerfield Roofing/ Siding has been an outstanding contractor for this installation and repairing leaks in the previous roofs.
He was recommended by two friends who also had excellent results with his roofing work.

We tried to contact this provider to come over and give us an estimate for a full rip off of my roof. We never heard from them and chose to go another route. I would not use them in the future.

Our next-door neigbor suggested Deerfield, mentioning that they had been in business for 26 years. We got a quote, (we had other quotes as well) looked at samples,and scheduled the job. Everyone was very pleased except the cats --who were not happy with the noise. The minimum specifications of their quote exceeded those of others we had talked to. (For example, Deerfield included
six feet of ice-guard protection for the entire project instead of just on lower levels. They also said that if any more were required,
it would be at their expense!)

I got three competitive quotes to replace my roof. I asked around and got a reference for Deerfield roofing. Bill from Deerfield showed up right on time to give me a quote. He was done fairly quickly and gave me a quote that was lower than the other two companies. I called him to ask some questions about things that I was considering along the lines of venting, and he took the time to advise me. I ran into someone else that said thier roof was replaced and the company did a great job. It turned out that it was Deerfield roofing. I needed my roof done quickly, and Bill made time to fit me in the schedule. They showed up and did the tear off and tar paper in one day. The next day they did the shingles. The roof looks great. Bill showed up right after the crew left the second day and looked around. I will call Bill next time I need to have a roof replaced.

They were very good. They were very prompt. They were inexpensive. They were very thorough. They put up a new roof for us 5 years ago and the owner actually came on a Sunday to help finish up. They are fine with doing the work in the local area. The quality is very good because we never have any problem. They were out here the next day. They did show up when needed.

Everything was done professionally and on schedule.

Living in Northern Ohio by Lake Erie, we suffered a catastrophic hail damage and roofing contractors by the droves solicited home owners. Deerfield was the one professional contractor that we had enough confidence to do the work. He had long-time employees who did the work in true craftsman manner.

Deerfield inspecteed our roof when we had a leak and told us about the condition of the roof. I knew it was getting time to consider the replacement of the roof. They did a super job. A crew of people showed up and worked more than three days removing the old roof and installing a new roof. They cleaned up after themselves every day and left the job site very clean. There were special attention given to certain areas of the roof where snow and ice accumulate. As they did the work, they explained what they were doing. When they finished and did the final cleanup they carefully picked up any stray nails with a magnet. I appreciated that because of my dog. I would highly recommend Deerfield to anyone with any type of roof or gutter replacement need.

We have a racoon that keeps tearing up our roof, and they have come back to fix the damge every time. They have been wonderful, and the work they do is very high quality!

They did a fine job, we just chose not to use them. The quote was reasonable and within what the insurance company was willing to pay. I would get a quote from them in the future if needed.

The quality of their work was excellent, and the job went very well. They were punctual and responsive; they always answered the phone and were available when I needed them. They cleaned up everything very well; I did find one nail in the shrub, but I probably would not have found it had I not been looking for it. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

He is wonderful. He is so honest. He is not out to gauge you. I trust he is very honest. He was referred to me that way too. I did not think I needed a new roof due to hail damage when lots of my neighbors were doing it and roofers were coming by and telling me I needed one. But I called Bill anyway. He came out and took a look and said I had no roof damage at all. He told me I had another good 5 years. So far so good is what I have gotten from him.

Very professional, very hands on with the owner, Bill. Gave us an estimate and hands down beat everybody we talked to, does a very good job and cleans up as welll. Not one of the "storm chasers" that shows up and works his crews until dark and finishes a job in one day. If it needs 2-3 days then that is what it takes, didn't feel he rushed the job or his crew. very satisfied and would highly recommend him. I know the only negative is that sometime his schedule fills up and may be 30-45 days out depending on weather, but when you find someone good sometimes good things come to those who wait.

They went over and above what we were asking them to do. They were the lowest priced. They were a couple of thousand lower than any estimate that we got. They also did more than what the other companies had as part of their estimates. It was a really good deal and they did a great job. There were some soffits that were falling off and they had to put that back on. I tried to use them for some work for my house, but couldn’t because they don’t go outside a particular area. They were very hesitant to come to my house to even give an estimate. I wanted to use them but I couldn’t do it for that very reason. I’d use them again in a heartbeat.

He is outstanding. He is neat, clean, reliable, and his price is fair.

They did a high quality job, they were also very responsive and came out at no extra charge to repair several shingles. They offer a competitive price. They were very responsive, and were overall very good.

He has been very informative. He is responsive and helpful. Even with heavy rain there have been no more leaks. He didn't even charge me for the repair.

We called Bill (owner) for an estimate on our roof which was leaking a little into the Breakfast Room. (We had already had an estimate where we were told it would be about $300 to repair the leak so we might as well just go ahead and replace the entire little roof over the bay window because it was put on incorrectly and that would be $500. Bill (from Deerfield Roofing and Siding) looked it over and said it wasn't the roof leaking. He said it was the lack of caulking around the window above the area that was leaking. He advised us to get a little clear caulk and showed my husband how to fix it and said there would be no charge. Bill then (at our request) went up and looked our entire 14-year old roof over and said it should last at least another 5 years but there were two stack/pipe flashings that were oxygenized and hardened that he could caulk (for no charge) or he could replace them. We opted to replace and the entire charge was $80. Nice guy, highly recommended.

They were prompt, had excellent service, and the workers were extremely polite. I am completely satisfied.

Very satisfied with all aspects of their work. Provided detailed estimate and made specific recommendations for our project. Took time to patiently discuss the project and answer our questions. The result was high quality work completed on time. Would have no hesitation to use them again.

We were so pleased with the job that we contracted to have our second home, which was in a critical stage (interior damage to drywall) done also.

I was very comfortable with both the owner and the workers. It went well.
