Terrible customer service. Jason Tonkin was prompt in providing a quote but it ended there. Scheduling became a massive issue. Received a call on Fathers day ay 7pm letting me know they would be out in 2 days. My wife let him know that we could not fit that in to our schedule and asked if he could schedule it for another time. Jason's response was "this is how we do it, no other client has ever had a problem with this why do you" . My Wife asked what other days were available and he said non and that she can send him a list of dates that she is available. My wife sent several dates and several emails to Jason. He did not respond to her emails inquiring about availability. She finally called him, and he told her non of the dates were available. When she asked what dates were available he told her he did not have a schedule. She called the main office and finally spoke with Rick. Rick is the owner of the company, and put her on the schedule for 8/7. this is 60days after the scheduling difficulty with Jason as the quotes was completed on 5/30. The issues here are from the top down. Once the date was scheduled Jason did email my wife to confirm and was very condescending letting her know this was weather dependent. My wife called the night before to check if they were still coming out as the forecast for 8/7 was rain. This is were Rick decided the best course of action was to tell me wife that she was being a B**ch and that if she was going to keep asking so many questions that he wasn't doing the job, and that he was booked for the rest of the year and didn't need the business. I should have listed to the reviews on google, the better business bureau. That is something you should keep in mind if you are planning on using them. THEY DO NOT NEED YOUR BUSINESS AND WILL TREAT YOU LIKE IT. WHO KNOWS THEY MAY EVEN CALL YOU A B**CH FOR ASKING QUESTIONS.

The Mid-Ohio Team lead by Rick, Jason and Rick did an incredible job on a badly conditioned driveway. The crew was great, took less than 7 hours and my wife and I are trilled with the end results!

Mid Ohio Asphalt exceeded our high expectations. The friendly crew showed up early and got to work right away. My son loved watching them lay the asphalt from our garage. They earned this 5 star review!

Professional

I did not go. I received a prompt reply and an estimate in a timely manner. I requested a seal coat and crack fill job which typically costs $700 - $850 for a large drive like mine. I received a quote for $8,000 +, and a vastly expanded scope of work that i did not request. I replied by email and explained the limited scope for the job. I even went further to explain that I would be putting in a concrete driveway in the next couple years and did not want to invest $8k in an asphalt drive that would ultimately be removed. I never heard from them again.

Terrible. The rep "Jason" was misleading and tried to ***** part of the prep job back onto me. I should have cancelled the project then and there. The asphalt they used was cheap and already full of pits. The edging is a complete mess -- it's $10,000 down the drain. I fully regret ever getting involved with this company and don't want them near my property ever again.

Punctional and professional. My driveway is slightly larger than 5,000sf. They were here on time and friendly. I have to say this was the most professional job I have seen anyone do. Quality workmanship to sealing the edges. 1 year later I seen some cracks and I did freak out. The owner was very responsive and came right out. He calmed me down and explained how asphalt moves and small cracks donshow up but most important thing is to get them seals before winter. We scheduled an appointment to seal my driveway at an unbelievable price. Again on time and did a professional job which included the counting to be put on by hand and not sprayed. Very cautious not to make a mess even on grass. So impressed. HIGHLY recommended. Also Jason being the middleman personally came out before the seal coat and patched up the small cracks at no charge. How many companies do you think would do this? Again highly impressed.

Mid Ohio Asphalt has done a beautiful job on my very long driveway. They came at 6 a.m. and were done with the whole job, including removing a concrete pad, by 4:30 pm. They did some extras, cut down a small tree for me and cleared branches from the driveway. They also made a little drive in front of my mailbox on the street. Everyone was very polite and cleaned up well. Price was reasonable and contract was very comprehensive.

The Mid-Ohio team was outstanding from the proposal process through installation. I have a long driveway with challenging drainage. Rick and Jason worked with me to understand my drainage concerns and proposed a solution at a competitive price. We agreed on a date but the night before, we had to reschedule to the following day due to heavy rain predicted (which came true). They crew arrived promptly at 6:30am, reviewed the plan, and began work. The plan included a large catch basin in a low spot which always collects standing water from rain or snow melt. They installed it perfectly and tied it into the downspout drain which was no easy task. They also dealt flawlessly with an electric dog fence and landscape lighting wiring running under the driveway in several locations. They also accommodated a last minute adjustment to the shape of the turnaround circle with no issues at all. Two days after install it rained heavily and the catch basin and sloped drainage performed perfectly...no standing water at all! Well done to Jason, Rick and the team!

Smooth very professional cleaned up and they finished early

Very impressive operation from start to finish. Arrived at 6:45 AM with 6 men working various machines and other labor. Job completed by noon and looks terrific. They put a unique edging on driveway which makes it look quite professional. They were careful around entryway stone work and moved a sprinkler head that was too close to driveway. This will hopefully last many years.

The estimate was very high and he also included a bad report of another competitor along with his estimate , Which I thought was inappropriate for him to do that.

Got estimate within a few days after contacting. Another provider had somewhat lower quote but had measured area of my large driveway incorrectly, on low side. Sirna, recommended to me by a contractor friend, never managed to get back to me for a quote after several contacts (business must be very good). So I went with Mid-Ohio based on their responsiveness, accuracy and perceived professionalism. After accepting their quote, work was scheduled within a couple of weeks. On the allocated day, a large crew with a bunch of equipment and trucks showed up promptly and went to work. All went well, and extra attention was paid so make sure the driveway slope was good in diverting water away from the house and towards a drainage path. This was done a half year ago. Today, the driveway still looks great and several neighbors have commented on how nice it looks (how often does THAT happen?). So I am very pleased and do not hesitate to recommended them.

First contacted Mid-Ohio Asphalt in April, 2016. Got estimates from 2 other companies besides Mid-Ohio. The other 2 contractors wanted to replace the entire driveway to the tune of $10,000.00; Mid-Ohio stated a full replacement was not necessary. Instead, they removed deteriorated areas, ground down a 4'-6' width to a 2" depth, and hauled away all the debris. They then laid a leveling course of asphalt followed by an asphalt finish material. They graded the driveway perfectly so run-off is away from the house/garage. They also raised/relaid a service walk which runs alongside the driveway so it is level with the drive. The result is beautiful! And the company states the work will hold up for 20+ years, the same longevity as a brand new driveway. I waited over a year before writing my review to see how the driveway held up through the winter. I'm happy to report there were zero problems! My only complaints with regards to the service I received were that, after contracting with the company in May, the work was not performed until August, and communication was lacking at times. However, I was not particularly bothered by this. Bottom line: Mid-Ohio delivered a quality product at a great price. They treated me fairly and professionally and were cognizant of my budget.

Once appointment was made, review of job involved adding additional drain, price adjusted accordingly. Crew came at 7:45, set up, ready to work, steady at it until finished. By 2:30, total driveway was beautifully resurfaced, drain installed, edges sealed, sidewalk repaired, looks better than ever. Highly pleased with results, worth the wait to be scheduled. Would definitely recommend this crew!

Very well. They responded quickly when I asked for a quote on the job, were very patient with me as I decided what to do, and emailed a contract to me once I decided. They called the day before they arrived and said that I didn't even need to be there for payment, that would send me an invoice so that I didn't have to re-arrange my schedule. They did a beautiful job.

Excellent job in every respect. If you need asphalt driveway work done, hire this company. I was astonished at the professionalism, promptness, thoroughness, and extra work they did that was not in the contract bid. You can come by my house and look at the work. I am shocked at how good they really are. You don't get that often.

This company exceeded my expectations in every way. They were knowledgeable, prompt and efficient. It is clear that the team works together a lot and they are very well coordinated. I was particularly impressed with their attention to detail to make sure the project turned out excellent and not just "good enough". Many contractors just want to get a project done and move on, but I felt these guys really cared about their work and wanted to make sure their customer was happy. They arrived exactly when they said they would and they were fully prepared with all the equipment necessary to get the job done right and quickly. The owner introduced himself immediately upon arrival. We couldn't be happier with the results. It's been about 5 months since the work was done and everything has held up really well. We love the driveway and we are recommending this company to all our neighbors, who also noticed the workmanship and asked for the reference. Thank you, Mid-Ohio Asphalt!
