I contacted Arnold's for a new roof after receiving recommendations on the Next Door app. They were fairly priced and very professional. Our job did get pushed back due to weather, but they kept in contact with updates as to when they would be able to begin work. The roofing project manager was very professional and answered all of my questions with quick response, even after hours. The job went very smoothly and they cleaned up the job area nicely. I would definitely recommend this company!

In the summer of 2017, i had Arnolds Home Improvement come out to my residence to repair a slight leak of my balcony roof. The first time they came out to do the work was unsatisfactory because water would still fall on my balcony. Finally they had to basically rebuild my balcony roof. The workers stripped it down to the support beams, rebuilt the top portion and re shingled the roof. New facia and sofit under the roof was installed. It looked good and the work was finally completed. WRONG!!!it is 2019...only 2 years after the rebuild of the roof and I had water pooling in the sofit of my roof. I have to use a broom to push the water to an edge where all the water runs out onto my deck. 2 years after a total rebuild of my balcony roof, I have to pay more money to repair for what should have never happened after I payed to have the repairs done right THE FIRST TIME!!!! I called to have someone come out to take a look at the problem. Someone came out, took a couple pictures (only leaned over the railing). I offered to get my ladder that would reach up to the roof if he needed to take a look of the roof. He declined. Yet they came up with a quote for the repairs without ever getting up on the roof and looking. I finally get a proposal from Arnolds for the repair. I called to set up a time and date to do the work. I NEVER HEARD BACK to this day. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The customer service and professional in home improvement are nothing close to being professional. Making a proposal to a "preferred customer" (as they said I was ) and never following up. This is not how you treat customers, returning or new. I finally had to look for another company. After taking pictures, showing me and explaining to me what Arnold's did wrong and what they would do to repair Arnold's work, I decided to go with them. If you are planning on having your roofing work done by Arnold's Home Improvement, slow done and re think. OR at least make sure you at other companies who may able to show you that they care about the public that they work for.

I was referred to Arnolds by a co-worker. It started off well but by the end of the remodel, I was less than satisfied. The tiling on the wall was no level throughout the rooms. Some tiles were sticking out away from the wall and many were not flush with other tiles. How can some tiles fit flush and others not...on the same wall? I got a run around answer but....was never offered to fix and make better. During the remodel I asked the lead worker if he would ask his boss about the additional cost for putting up a light fixture and quarter round around the wall and floor juncture. Rather than contacting his boss he said he would do the work for a "good tip". I agreed and did give a nice tip. 3 to 4 weeks have past, he has still not come back to complete the agreed upon work. I can't even call or text because the number is now a non working number. At the end of the remodel, I had to wipe down the tiles to remove mortar and compound from the wall. Learn from my mistake and I hope your experience is better than mine.

If you like constant excuses about delays, no-show scheduled work appointments, broken promises, lack of communication, poor workmanship, issues after installation, doing your own clean-up, and overall dissatisfaction – then Arnold’s is the contractor for you.

We were quite satisfied and happy with the job Arnold's did with installing our new windows. The product was great and they look great. There were 2 flaws in the product and that company came and fixed it within a couple weeks. Arnold's installers were very professional and personable. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Arnold's sent someone to inspect and even checked up after the 2 items were repaired. The product is Polaris windows and we are very happy with them and the difference we noticed this winter (2017-2018 in Toledo, OH) in our heating bill. We had a very frigid January and our gas bill showed an increase in usage of only 13 CCFs from last January which was extremely mild compared to this year. We were very happy. Arnold's did our roof in June and we experienced the same satisfaction and service. We would use them again.

I would like to start the review with saying the salesman was amazing. I think I asked the poor guy about 1,000 questions and he handled them all without complaint. He was wonderful to work with. I had my house resided due to storm damage. the old siding was unable to be matched and therefore I ha to replace the siding on the whole house. The sales man worked hard to make sure I was getting the best value for my money and that I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Once the contract was signed, thing went downhill very quickly. I signed the contract at the end of April. I was scheduled to have the project manager come out the following week so he could remeasure and make sure everything was set. It had been raining all day that day, but he waited for an hour before he was supposed to be there to cancel. His excuse was that he can't write when its raining. He informed me that the office person in charge of my project would contact me to reschedule. A week went by and nothing. I called her, to which it took about 3 days and 2 more calls before I finally poke to her. She had a hard time working with me to schedule a time around my work schedule. She jut scheduled a time that I did not want. After explaining that It is not past my time for my check to be refunded and i still can't get my remeasure in, I was very unhappy. She told me she would work me into another gentleman's schedule as she had found out that the Project Manager never told her that he had cancelled. I was able to move past that, since it wasn't her fault. We figured out a time and a new Project Manager came out. The remeasure was done and i was told it would be 4-6 weeks. After 5 weeks, I called to find out what was going on. She told me they were behind and that it would be a few more weeks. At the start of 4 weeks, Arnold's should have been on the phone with me keeping me updated. At the middle of June, I received a phone call and told that they would be there on July 5th to start the project. It is also important to note that I have several animals that needed to stay somewhere else during the work because of their reactions to loud noises. Being told that work would start July 5th, they were moved out on July 1, 2017 in order to get squinted with their new temporary housing. On July 5th, at 6:30 in the morning, I received an email from the office saying that the contractors would not be there to start the project. The unexpected holiday, July 4th, put them behind. You mean to tell me that NOT ONE PERSON knew July 4th, was coming up? I received a call the following week that they would start on July 14th. In the meantime, my electrician did not show up and I needed Arnold's to quickly hire an electrician to move a few things. Once the contractors arrived and saw what they electrician did, they informed he didn't eve complete the job appropriately and fixed it correctly. There was a waste of $300. It is also worth note the electrician was told something differently than what I had requested, a lie told by the office, and was also extremely rude. Ok, back to the siding. The supplies were delivered on July 13, 2017. It was a rainy day and the delivery driver left all the caulk out in the rain, which ruined the entire case. Once the crew showed up they went through the supplies and more than half of the supplies were missing, including the extra thick insulation that I upgraded. Once they called the office, they were informed that the insulation would not arrive until the next week. THE NEXT WEEK. This was unacceptable so I called the office. I was informed it was out of Arnold's control. After further inspection of the supplies, they had not been ordered until about 3 days prior. So there comes out the first lie regarding the project. After quite a bit back and forth with Arnold's office staff about the missing materials, they assured me they would have something delivered the following day so they can get started on the project and then the rest would be delivered. The new stuff was delivered, and did not fit. The delivery company was contacted and they attempted to deliver 3 more types of insulation. It took a total of 4 deliveries for them to actually get the correct insulation and the new project manager to drive over to the warehouse and walk it himself with a piece of siding to find the correct materials. Once located, they informed him it would take at least 1 week for it to arrive to Toledo. He sent someone from Arnold's (This is where things start to go uphill) to go pick it up from southern Ohio and deliver back to my house. The installation crew was amazing. They were so kind and were so incredibly helpful. While it took awhile, the project was done and the installers did absolutely beautiful work. I am so impressed by the INSTALLERS. Afterwards, it was a fight to get the office to finish the paperwork that was needed by my insurance and mortgage company. Once I paid, It was a fight to get a paid receipt even and it took a threat of having to cancel the check that I had just handed over for them to get me paid receipts. I would not recommend Arnold's as the hassle to get the work done was not worth it, at all! Am I happy with how beautiful the house turned out? Absolutely. Would i ever go through them again? NO WAY!

They were excellent to work with! Our rep was John Pollex. He was out to our home twice to give us quotes and to help us with selecting the shingling type/color we went with. I don't have enough good things to say about Arnold's Home Improvement and their team of people. We interviewed many roofing companies for this job and from the quality of work, to financing, to customer service, to the type of warranties they provided, Arnold's was the best and made us feel comfortable with such a big home improvement project we were taking on! I look forward to using their services again in the future.

Arnolds was a great company to work with from the beginning to the end of our project. Dana Busdeker, our salesman, was helpful in explaining options and answering our questions. He came during the project to check on the progress and to see if there was anything we needed. The installers always started on time and worked a full day. They even came on a Sunday to finish the installation and clean up. They did a great job cleaning up materials and scraps after the project. I was impressed with how the project manager inspected the roof when it was finished and quickly had the installers back to fix a minor detail. The roof looks amazing and we received many compliments. I would recommend Arnolds to anyone looking for a reliable, professional company to install your new roof.

My house is approximately 1600 sq/ft. A small team came to start the tear off on Friday, 5/26/2017. I was told that day the job would be complete by Monday. By the end of the second day it was clear to me that they would not be able to finish by Monday as they just finished removing the shingles off my attached garage and hadn’t even started the rest of the house. No one showed up on Sunday even though they said they would be there to start by 9am. We had some light rain that Monday night and I woke up to two water stains in my newly remodeled kitchen ceiling Tuesday morning. I called Larry, the project manager that works for Arnold’s, and advised him of the leak and I ended up leaving work that day so I could have a meeting with him and the roofing foreman about the leak and the status of the roof. All of the shingles hadn’t been removed and not a single new shingle was on the roof (5 days from the start of the project) at this point. They discovered that the team hadn’t placed the underlayment correctly around a vent and it caused a leak in the kitchen. Easy fix and I offered to fix the drywall in my kitchen. It was easier for me to fix it than to schedule more time off work for someone to be in my house to fix it. The foreman seemed disinterested about my concerns on the status of the roof but guaranteed it would be complete by that Friday. Fast forward to Friday…they ran out of materials and could not get more until the following Monday. I also need to point out that Monday night was the only rain we had since the start of the project so weather was not a factor. I was on the phone almost every other day with the operations center of Arnold’s and Larry with my concerns of the amount of time it is taking and the fact that I had to clean up after the team left every day. I had to reschedule out-of-town family visiting because the project wasn’t done, I would find fists full of nails and staples everyday which is inherit risk to my vehicles and lawn equipment and my 3 ½ year old son that played in the yard. All I ever received was deflection from both the Operations Manager and Larry. Everything was “out of their control”. Monday, 6/5/2017 the roof was finally “complete”. I returned home from work that day and started inspecting their work. I found a hole punched in my siding above the garage where it connects to the house, rake edges that looked horrible, bright white caulk marks on the front of my house that stands out, holes on the corners of trim, bent and contorted aluminum facing, bent gutters, etc. I am not a roofer but I know what right looks like and this wasn’t close. I had no words that could explain it. There was even underlayment hanging out of the side under the rake edges. The team left the jobsite thinking they did a good job. Somewhere around the same time the Operations Manager gave me the impression that I needed to run all my issues through Larry as she was not willing to elevate my issues to her boss. The days that followed this Larry stopped answering my calls or returning my texts. It turns out he quit the company. About a week later I met the project manager, David, who was taking over my project with Larry gone. David listened to all my concerns and he found an additional dozen or so things that needed to be fixed. Pictures were taken and I was told that everything would be fixed within a week. I left the country for almost two weeks and figured everything would be fixed upon my return. I should be used to this company letting me down. Talked to David and was told the subcontracting team that did my roof has been fired and he has to send someone else to fix my roof. In the end David ended up doing the repairs himself and everything was finally completed on Friday, 7/14/2017 (about 6 weeks since the start). The house finally passed Arnold’s final inspection. Wednesday, 7/19/2017 – we had a heavy rain and found a bad leak in our sunroom. I texted David and he was at my house within 20 minutes. He found the issue in the low grade valley above the sunroom and realized at that time he needed to redo the whole area but didn’t have time right then to do it. He temporary patched the area and stated he would return within a week for the permanent fix. Thursday, 8/17/2017 (85 days from the start) – another heavy rain and my roof is still not fixed. The water was a steady stream into the sunroom. Hit my TV and all the electronics behind it. I am just thankful that my wife was home to unplug everything right away. That could have easily caused a fire. I can’t imagine what damage it is causing to the wood and everything underneath the roof. Still not sure the long term affect that this will do for the TV either. I called David right away and at this point I was furious. I feel like I have been very patient with this company but fixing my roof is obviously not a priority for this company. He is supposed to be out this weekend to fix it. Even if it does get fixed I feel like I went through **** with this company that no customer should. This project has consumed so much of my own time and energy with zero compensation. You be the judge. I will never use this company again.

The team at Arnold's are fantastic! Between Brandy being at my becking call whenever I had 1 of a million questions for her, to Joe and Cheryl helping to have my insurance cover the costs, to the crew staying until 9pm at night some days to meet my deadline with the insurance company. They went above and beyond to help me. My roof also looks amazing and adds much needed protection but also a refreshing beautiful look to my home. Thank you Arnold's team for all of your hard work and knowledge of your products and services!

Worst, worst, worst experience ever. Did not come on time, workmanship was amateur at best. Majority of job had to be redone due to poor workmanship. Had four different Arnolds contractors come out to try to remedy the poor workmanship. They even admitted that the workmanship by their own employees was poor. The whole job was a disaster from start to finish. Would never utilize them again or recommend them to others.

At first everything was fine, repair was made everything looked great less than a month later some of the repair blew off. We notified them and they said they would come out and fix the problem. Then about a hour later we got a call saying we did not have a warranty and we would need to pay $175 for the repair a repair we paid almost $400 less than a month before. When looking at your paper work nowhere is a warranty mentioned or offered needless to say they will not be ever used or referred by myself of my wife. I will tell this story to anyone who asked me about this company.

Crew can't and/or won't follow instructions. They sent the same guy back a second time and he still could not get it right, in addition to not showing up a the appointed time. The supervisor could not be bothered to call back to confirm the appointment to fix the stuff still not done right and just showed up on a Saturday morning. Right day, never set a time. Yes, I have photos.
My wife is in fragile health and we don't need this kind of stress.
Just a word to the wise. DO NOT use Arnold's Home Improvement Services for ANY reason. I am still discovering screwups a year later where these incompetent morons thought no one would ever notice them. Can't sue them, not worth the effort or the cost involved.
Again, DO NOT use Arnold's Home Improvements in Toledo, Ohio.

The two-man crew was very professional. They covered the carpeting leading to the bathroom with tarps. They were very careful in getting the old tub out and installing the new shower. This was not an easy job inasmuch as Bob, the crew leader has to spend considerable time on his back in a spider-infested crawlspace. They did a fine job in cleaning up after they were through. The end result was a beautiful new shower. Both my wife and I are very please with their work.

Workers had the most flexible hours I've ever seen for a construction crew, but maybe that's a result of union meddling.
Asked for estimates for other work, and though I received one for one service, I never received any other contact. As a result, getting the other repairs done will be both more expensive and more difficult to complete.
