Newman Roofing

I filed a claim with my insurance company for the recent hail storm. I called Newman for an estimate. My insurance company had some particular ways they determine if they will cover an entire roof replacement or just a partial replacement. Newman did not want to make helping me through this process any kind of a priority even though I told them I only called them (a friend of mine recommended them) and would be using them regardless to replace the roof. I was basically put “on the back burner” simply because they don’t like dealing with my particular insurance company and they didn’t want to put “too much time into it” even though I again said I was gonna replace the roof with the claim or without it. After the above conversation with the owner where he acknowledged that I was “Put on the back burner”, I decided I would start the search for another roofing company.

The entire team at Newman was excellent, with special recognition to Eddie (estimator) and Alex (superintendent). Newman's price was a littler higher than the competition, but the quality of the materials and the workmanship they provided were far superior to the competition. I have already recommended them to a neighbor, and will continue to do so

We had twice previously had Newman Roofing make repairs to our roof for storm damage. We were impressed both times. When it came time to replace our roof, we got quotes from both Newman Roofing and another well-known local company. Newman Roofing had several pluses that won us over: professional but comprehendible explanations; better quality shingles at a significantly lower price than the competitor; and absolutely no pressure. An Angie's List discount didn't hurt either! ;) We have been impressed by every company representative we met/spoke with during the process. Communication was excellent throughout the process, both verbal and written. We knew what to expect and were kept well-informed. Our yard and driveway were treated with respect and carefully cleared of debris. We are very pleased with our new roof. We recommend Newman Roofing without reservation.

The experience was great. From meeting with Eddie to determine what we wanted done and getting an estimate to meeting with Alex the day the work was performed, The Newman employees are professional, pleasant, responsive and they do exactly what they say they are going to do. They use quality materials and are very competitive price wise. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Newman to anyone needing a roofing company.

Newman roofing did an excellent job! They did a great job explaining what options we had, showing all kinds of quality products, great finishing. The entire staff was very professional. They finished job in timely manner (in less than one day) They started at 7 AM and they finished at 3 PM including cleaning up and paint touch up. The price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a quality work and good job done!

I would highly recommend Newman Roofing. Did a full tear off and replacement. Tim D came to our home did a great job with presentation and estimate. Did not make us feel pressured and helped us with providing estimates to our insurance adjuster. Woody and crew arrived first thing and did a great job. Quality workmanship everything from the diamond deck and ice and wether shield to the tek screws in the flashing and the ridge caps look awesome

We were very impressed with the professionalism and workmanship of all the people we came in contact with including the office personnel, salesmen, foreman and crew. We appreciated low pressure respectable way that Newman Roofing conducts business. We were kept informed throughout the whole process and the foreman, Nick, took the time with us to explain our options to take care of our brittle and damaged roof boards in a way that was clear and understandable. After making first contact for an estimate they did all of the follow-up including on site estimate, scheduling, confirming arrival, calling me that evening to see if I was satisfied. We paid ZERO up front and received an invoice only after the repairs were finished. The invoice email included pictures of the work progression. The roof shingle was a perfect match. The workers were courteous and used caution while working around the garden bed in a small area without much room to maneuver. In all I worked with 5 people and they were all polite, nice people. This was a SMALL job. Must be a good ownership and management team running this railroad. Will not bother calling anyone else next time.

Smooth process, got both house and wood shed done in one day. Good communication on issues found. Only negative was we found over 20 nails after they left, mostly in driveway in front of garage where dumpster was. A few were in the back yard where grandchildren play. I would suggest customer be vigilant looking for nails after any roofer leaves, and not assume they got them all. Their magnet does not pick them all up, and after a long day working in the hot sun, the nails are probably more difficult to see.

I think you can tell a lot about a company by how the customer facing office staff answers the phone and by how organized they are. When I hung up the phone from scheduling an estimate appointment with Newman Roofing I knew I had experienced something unique - exceptional customer service. The entire estimate process worked precisely as described, including reminder text messages about the appointment and a text message when the estimator was on the way. There was no hard sell, just a complete assessment of my roof by someone who clearly has years of roofing experience. I was then presented with the various options for a roof replacement. The meeting ended with the estimator asking me to contact him with any additional questions or if I wished to move forward with the project. Again, no hard sell! The estimate was fair and competitively priced for the type of shingle I wanted to install on my house. I decided to contract with Newman Roofing based on my positive experience during the estimate process and the overwhelming online reviews that backed up what I had experienced. The roof replacement process was smooth, seamless and professional. I took comfort in knowing there was a project manager on site who communicated with me throughout the day on the project progress (including photos). Once the roof was completed the cleanup was so detailed you would have never known that a roofing crew was at my house all day. The office staff, Steve (Estimator), Alex (Production Manager), and the entire roofing team were as professional and respectful of my home as anyone could ask for. As for the new roof, it looks fantastic and I'm confident that it was professionally installed to last for years to come. I will not hesitate to recommend Newman Roofing. An amazing experience from beginning to end!

After a bad experience with a large roofing company in Columbus, I was looking for a company with an excellent reputation and Newman was recommended. And they didn’t disappoint. No high pressure sales, great customer service, and attention to detail. Replaced the roof in one day and cleaned up after themselves. And our roof looks great! Very professionally done and the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

Found much underlayment delaminated. Replaced all, replaced some damaged gutter shield, installed new skylight and completed the job in 1 day. The crew stayed longer to get it done. Exceptionally good clean up job.

After dealing with a very deceiving company that came to my door trying to get my business for a new roof I was able to get out of the contract that I signed, being told it wasn’t a contract. I contacted Newman Roofing and was pleased with everything they had to say and the quality product they had to offer. With no hesitation I signed with them and I’m glad I did. I couldn’t be happier with the job they did from start to finish. Not only did I choose Newman Roofing but my parents and my sister had used them as well. work was performed as per contract on time and clean up was perfect. very professional supervisor on site and crew was very good. pictures on an I pad were shown at end to show job start to finish. there has been some odor in the home from the 7/16 under layment used but it is slowly going away. all shrubs were protected and we are very happy with the job.

From start to finish this experience went smooth and flawless. Extensively researched roofing companies before selecting Newman roofing and found that they were the only one with no negative reviews. After using their services, I now know why. The estimate was provided with no pressure and all options were fully discussed. I was given an approximate date for the roof work to be done and was called about three days prior to those dates and asked if it was okay to proceed. Nick was the on-site representative while the crew of six work diligently throughout the day while taking care of the exterior of my home to cause no damage. The roof looks outstanding and the yard was completely swept as well as the driveway to ensure that no previous roofing materials and/or nails were left or they would cause a problem. I recommend Newman roofing without reservation and applaud them for their professionalism.

I have not been so impressed by a company in a very long time... & I'm a hard nut to crack! Tim Newman not only provides a quality product, but an exceptional delivery of that product. The crew built plywood barriers to protect my windows, garage doors, & landscaping. They worked in 90 degree temps to finish my entire roof replacement in a single day. The on-site supervisor even went door to door to assure my neighbors would not be blocked in when the shingles were delivered. When the project was complete they cleaned up everything as if they had not even been here. A final inspection was completed by the on-site supervisor to assure nothing was missed. Then he told me that Newman sees it as if I own the home & they own the roof. If I have any concerns to just call & they will take care of it. And I believe him. From the initial consultation to the post-work follow up, every single interaction with Newman has been of the highest caliber. We received quotes from several companies, but easily chose Newman over the others. Newman gave us honest opinions and no pressure to purchase anything. All of our questions were answered fully and promptly and it was readily apparent that they are experts of their crafts and take immense pride in their workmanship. Every time we had a scheduled meeting, we were notified 15-30 minutes before the person's arrival. Every time we had work completed, we received a full report with pictures.
