I simply called for an estimate and the young lady (I use it cautiously) tried to talk me out of scheduling due to the cost. Not knowing my budget or anything that is not how you do business. I asked for management and she told me I could not speak to her like that. I can ask for management any time I’d like. Literally that’s what I asked for. How is your representative trying not to book customers? This company was also on Angi’s list. I will be making a call to them as well. I never knew requesting an estimate that is said to be “free” was that big of a deal.

Had an estimate done, assumed we would hear from the salesperson again before everything was finalized, as we had not settled on exact style and layout of fence. Installation day arrived and installers verified post location, but nothing else. Told them to call if they had questions, but didn't hear anything from MAE until they charged my card that same day before verifying the fence was satisfactory. Struggled for over a month now to have them correct their mistakes. We are having a lot of other work done to the house, and multiple other contractors/tradesman have all commented on the poor quality of the fence, unsolicited from us. Would not recommend.

Terrible! I have already left one review but this company's pattern of deception and harassment continues. After negotiating a price after all the damage done and work they did not, they were paid within the agreed upon time frame, yet they sent a Notice of Intent to Lien before the time frame was up. I have to re-dig the entire fence line to remove the old post stumps they claimed to have sunk, but really just piled dirt around. I have involved the Better Business Bureau and if the harassment doesn't stop I will have to call a lawyer. I have never dealt with such an arrogant entity with absolutely no integrity or maturity.

They came to provide me quote and laid out the plan. So far so good.

After an in-home consultation from Mae Fence on May 5th, I requested a 6 foot cedar privacy fence. I paid the requested 50% down payment to start the process. They came to install the fence on May 22. They advised they did not have enough posts to complete the job and that they would be back on May 24th or 25th to complete it. I received no communication from Mae Fence on either of those dates. I called Mae Fence myself on May 25th and was told that they would be back the following day to complete my fence. I received a call on May 26th advising they would not be out due to rain but they would come out on May 27th to complete it. It did not rain on Thursday the 27th, however, Mae Fence did not call nor show up to my home to complete my fence. Meanwhile they have run my credit card for the remaining 50% of the cost and I’ve paid in full for an incomplete fence.

This was a good company to work with from the person that provided the quote to the men that installed the fence. The workers arrived on time. They had our old fence torn down in record time. They worked had on the installation and got the job done quickly. The fence looks great and we have had a lot of compliments on it.

Very well. Tyler came out to give an estimate, and provided a detailed quote with a diagram and specs listed. After acceptance of the quote, communication with the office for scheduling and my delivery of permits to them was prompt and helpful. When the installation day arrived, there was a slight hiccup (our quote form stated they would trim some tree branches along the fence line, but the installers said they don't do that), but we worked it out. After that, installation was very professional, and high quality. The fence is exactly as specified in the quote, and is fantastic! And the price was very reasonable. It's said you never go with the lowest bid, but we did in this case and it was worth it. They did a terrific job and we are extremely happy with everything about the fence. We would definitely use Mae Fence again.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone at Mae Fence Company. I LOVE my new white vinyl picket fence. Your team did such a great job with my irregularly shaped backyard and I couldn’t be happier! And let me just add that my pup is so happy to play in our fenced backyard! Kudos to all and Merry Christmas!

Only 2 of the fencing companies I contacted for pricing actually came out to my property. Mae fence was one of them. They were on time and professional and met all of their commitments. I made 2 changes to the contract and the additional cost was minimal. Reasonable, professional, kept commitments and appointments. Would definitely hire again.

Very disappointed in this company. Our 4' aluminum fence w/puppy panel was installed on October 29th - without the 2 gates. We were told there was a manufacturing delay of about a week. We were charged automatically on our credit card the full amount for a completed job that same day, October 29th. It's December 8th, almost 6 weeks later, they have our money - and we are still waiting on our 2 gates to be installed. We absolutely love the fence, but without gates, and just panels tied up to enclose the area; what an absolute disappointment. Hoping we see our gates and a completed job this year. Very stressful getting the runaround each week.

We live in Delaware, Ohio and did some research on the company. A few of the neighbors had Mae Fence install their fences. The only issue that I found was that a neighbor had a vinyl panel that came off during a storm and that neighbor said they had issues with Mae Fence not coming back in a timely manner to address their repairs but eventually it got repaired months later. After much research, Eventually, My wife made a decision to move forward with purchasing a vinyl fence Install from Mae roughly 3 months ago. The crew came and built the vinyl fence in one day. They left one of the post right next to my house crooked, a bottom piece was also dented in, the locks were sticking, and the lock had a spring that was already rusting. I called them the next day to inform them of all of these items. They sent repairmen out 3 times, the first time, the crew came out only to assess the problem even when I sent them pictures and described the repairs. The second time, 2 a crew came out but did not have the proper machinery to dig up the post, so they only replaced the dented panel. The third time, they came out and again, did not have the proper equipment. I called to follow up on the situation as I eventually spoke to the General Manager, Adam who assured me they would be at my house two weeks ago but there was a no call no show so it only made sense to follow up since Melina emailed me stating they would show up on 9/22. On 9/22, I took time from my work to call them on my break, Melina advised me they will call before they come. After multiple no call no shows, this just wasn't good enough, I need to know exactly when I should expect them. I asked to speak to a manager and spoke to their GM, Adam, who told me to F- off and stated that he was doing me a favor for even having someone come out and repair the misaligned post and that the misalignment was not a big enough deal. So since he represents the company, their lack of professionalism is basically summed up that they specialize in fencing but do not care if is misaligned. So in conclusion, I should have went with my gut feeling after communicating with Adam prior to the install. The first time I spoke to Adam was prior to the install, we had a phone discussion the day before to make sure we were all on the same page even if the crew does a walkthrough prior to working. IF you are looking for a fence, do not choose this company. The bad reviews on here and many other sites have merit. These individuals who work in the office give customers a run around and lack integrity, specifically Adam. He is GM of the company and feels empowered to tell a customer who has already paid to F- off, that speaks volumes on the type of culture the owner creates in the company. All for what? Because a customer wants to make sure the crew shows up to repair the fence? The employees are a representation of a company. I want you to think about what kind of experience you want from a company? Would you give your money to a company who will sell you up front and then not follow through on the repairs like they advertise? I have reported my experience to the Better Business Bureau and multiple website reviews in hopes that my experience deters people from working with this company. Small businesses like these create a bad reputation for businesses who actually do a good job. This kind of experience creates mistrust.

Literally I could not praise Mae Fence enough. From the moment I called them they were kind, caring, and responsive. From the moment I called them until install was only like one month. The fence looks amazing and it is literally going to say the life of my children who love to run away from me. I cannot wait to cook dinner and have the door open and just let my kids run around outside. The people installing the fence were very kind and I brought them out coffee. Definitely the best value from any price matching and I could not recommend them enough.

I paid Mae Fence $5,200 to tear down my old fence, install a new cedar picket fence, and clean up and haul away dirt. The crew finished up the job in one day and the quality of the work is excellent. My only concern is that I paid $300 extra for dirt to be hauled away, but other aspects of the job were not cleaned up. For example, small pieces of wood from the old and new fence and large rocks were left strewn around the yard. I did send an email about my concern, but received no response.

I contacted them and received a phone call and email back. An estimate day and the were arranged. About an hour before the appointment, the person who was going to give me the estimate called and cancelled saying he had to pick up his son from school. He asked me approximately how many feet of fencing would be put up. When I told him 30 feet, he gave me a ballpark estimate but I told him I still wanted him to come out so I could explain what I wanted and the fence had to be within certain guidelines based on where I live. He told me he would call me the next morning to arrange another time. Never heard from him. Sent an email to the company telling them never showed or called back. Never heard from the company either. My guess is they didn't feel it was going to be enough money so they didn't want to be bothered. Bad way to do business. Just say it's too small of a job rather than no show and not respond.

First off, they lost my order and it took an additional 2 months the get scheduled. Once started the guys did good work and were very willing to slightly modify the fence to fit the yard. They even left me some extra trim!

Work was performed as estimated. Quality work and clean up. I highly recommend this company

So glad we went with Mae Fence! They gave us lots of options for different budgets so we could pick what would work best for us. The guys who put the fence in did a GREAT job and were professional and fast. After they left, I noticed that they forgot to include a few of the post caps so I called and left a message that same evening. They came back the very next day to put in the caps without any problems. Definitely recommend!

Every person you contact at Mae Fence is personable and friendly. We had 2 separate areas fenced in, our backyard and we had a custom dog run put in. Both jobs went smoothly and look absolutely stunning! Thank you guys so much for the beautiful jobs that you did.

The initial fence experience was amazing. They were much cheaper than the other companies, they were prompt, their service amazing and the finished product absolutely beautiful!!! I have recommended them over and over. But I will not any more. After 5 years a couple of posts rotted off at ground level. No problem, that happens. I called several times to have them replace the posts and spoke with a few very nice people who kept telling me they'd have various managers call me back. I never got a call back. On my calls, I asked if they could come replace the posts, I asked if they could just deliver the posts, I asked if I could stop buy and pick up a couple posts, I asked if I could purchase the posts so my husband could do it. I didn't expect them to do it for free, I fully intended to pay them for the replacement. Because their posts are so unique and beautiful, replacing them is nearly impossible. Luckily my dad can carve and made me a few, but if you don't know a carver you're just out of luck. I am so very disappointed with the follow up service. This isn't how you make long term customers.

This was a great experience. Our lot is narrow and long with tight spacing. They tore out an existing chain link fence on one side and a deteriorating wooden fence on the other side that we put up 16 years ago. The crew was professional, courteous and worked hard in the 95 degree sun. Our property is bounded on either side by rentals. We worked with both landlords prior to installation and Tim of Mae as well as his staff were most responsive to the concerns and issues. Both of the landlords showed up at different times to view progress. The crew handled their questions and concerns in a professional manner. We did tweak one or two small things for community harmony and it was done without complaint. I am thrilled with the look of the fence. We selected the lattice top. I had my morning coffee today without being greeted by the three large dogs next door. Nice dogs but could easily jump the chain link for more attention! We got three quotes and Mae Fence was the best value for us and to me, by far the most attractive. I prefer the look of their wood over red cedar. Clean and light, not dark and forbidding. The installation was within a day or so of the original date due to weather delays, totally understandable. We are very happy with the whole process and very glad we went with Mae. One gate doesn’t line up with the latch. I’ve called 4 times in the last 4 weeks. Jocelyn who answers, keeps giving me a day they will be out to repair, but no one comes. Still waiting. Today was the 4th time I’ve called & I asked to talk to the owner/mgr & was on hold for 20 minutes then I was disconnected. Tired of the “run around” just want gate fixed. Installers were nice & professonal. Office staff doesn’t impress, that’s why rated bad.

It went awesome, the installers worked in the rain, and till 730pm at night trying to get it done in one day, had to come back for a hour the next day. The fence looks more amazing then I thought it would.

BEWARE! We met with the owner seven years ago and he seemed very trustworthy--and the fence he built was beautiful. But after five or six years, we noticed that it was starting to lean, and parts had rotted through. We called the company this year (year 7) and after a lot of dragging feet and delays, were told that if we wanted it fixed, they would be kind enough to replaced the rotted posts for $50.00 each. The tone of the email from his representative made it clear that they felt they were accommodating a whiny customer. In the mean time, we had estimates from other fence builders who told us it would be a mistake to try to ‘fix’ bad work, and that the fence needed to be replaced. Finally, I called the owner directly to tell him about the situation. No response. So, if you want to have shoddy work done, and try to deal with a company that does not respond to the mistakes they’ve made, Mae Fence is the right choice. UPDATE: Response to Company First, the location of the fence and the exposure has not changed in six years. Even if this claim were true, you would have known it was going to rot and should not have placed it where you did. Second, three separate companies have confirmed that you used sub-standard material for the posts. We were one of your first customers in Columbus 7 years ago; get ready for a lot more posts like this one, when everyone else realizes that they've been ripped off.

Mae Fence was great. They were reasonably priced, and built a beautiful fence. They tore down the old fence and put up the new in 2 days. It's amazing what a new fence can do for your back yard.
