I purchased a power recliner from Front Room, for cash. Less than 24 hours after delivery, the recliner failed to return to the upright position. The wires were not harnessed properly. As a result, the operating mechanism failed. I re spliced the wires in order to close the unit. I called Front Room and spoke with my sales person. She said there was nothing they could do on the weekend. A tech came on the following Wednesday, and discovered that in addition to the wiring, the activator switch would not work. They had to order one, and it would take 4 to 6 weeks. I called Cust. Svc. and was told the same thing. When I asked if they could do something to expedite the repair, (swap one out, or purchase locally,) I was informed that I had voided the warranty by re splicing the wires. I called my sales person once more and pleaded for something quicker than 6 weeks. She said she would try, and call me back, I never received a return call. I ordered the actuator switch on ebay and had it FedX'ed. I installed the new switch myself and the recliner now works fine. Time spent, less than 24 hours. I am appalled by the level of insouciance I experienced at all 3 levels, customer service being the worst. The sales person for not following through and the call back promised, The tech for adopting a Pontius Pilate attitude, explaining the onerous steps that must be preformed in order to secure a $10 piece of plastic. I am sure he was aware these switches are very available, if you know what to call them. I will never shop at Front Room again. POST SCRIPT FrontRoom Customer Service called today, Jan19th 2016. They told me the actuator switch, they "ordered" on Dec 15th 2015, was in, and would I like to set up an appointment for installation. I told them to lose my number.
