Reception Halls, Catering Service
We contracted The Springfield House to cater and hold our
daughter's wedding. We signed the contract in late November. By
mid March (two months prior to the wedding), we had not firmed up many of the details due to the lack of communication by the company. It was late
March when the owner finally had a caterer contact us and therefore we could not
include a menu option on the wedding invitations. The written information given to us when we signed the contract
was inconsistent with the information provided by the "current" caterer. A sit down dinner
was no longer available. Most of the food options listed on the website and
written materials were not available. Many questions asked of the owner
were either very delayed in answering or just left unanswered. With
only two months to go, we felt it would be better to cut our loses and
break the contract rather than become more frustrated with the slow
responses from the company. We actually felt that we could not trust
"The Springfield House" to give us the wedding we wanted. What we did
find out in May was that the air conditioning was not functional for an
event and that the food was either one hour later or inedible.
