P.K. Wadsworth Heating & Cooling

It was an excellent experience overall. Tom is the point man, he arranged everything with the service department for us and did an excellent job. I would recommend him to all of my friends.

The man who initially came and provided the quote was very up front and honest with me. The only negative comment I have is that, when I was trying to set up the inspection, we have had trouble communicating with the company and getting them to come to the house.

Came out and took out our old A/C unit and installed a new carrier A/C unit. Installed Worked on our furnace and installed a humidifier. They had everything up and running in 3 hours from the time they arrived. I would recommend hiring them to anyone. They do an excellent job. Tom was wonderful that came out from PK Wadsworth to give the estimate. He was very detailed and organized. He was neat with his paper work, and we had very few questions after he was finished. He was able to clear up all of our questions afterward.

They were efficient. They came in did the job and left. They did the job in a very timely manner. Their pricing was very reasonable compared to other places.

2003. I had them repair my furnace, and they were so good I called them again in 2005 to install the new furnace and install a new hot water tank, they are very professional, they clean up after them selves, they come when they say there coming and there done when they say there done.

We have had it serviced a few other times by other providers, but this technician was the first one to discover the furnace was improperly installed. We have had a humidity problem in the house for the ten years we have had the furnace, ran a dehumidifier the whole winter each year, pulling out a gallon of water each day. We had a black mold problem. The technician discovered the problem with the installation, ordered the part, and made the repair. This winter we had no problems.

They are excellent to work with. Their employees are extremely knowledgeable, courteous and are also very clean.

Overall it seems like they have a lot of trouble with their service techs. Their quality is poor. They seem like they don't want to fulfill the job you are paying them to do. The management staff was rude and made dealing with the problems very frustrating. They were helping fix a problem created by my contractor and I felt they were working against me rather than for me. The owner, Paul, is very nice and knowledgeable but it's his staff that we feel needs to be improved. If you are going to use them I would make sure Paul checks on all work.

He was very courteous and I will ask for him to return when I can get the blower cleaned. One problem emerged 10/23 - I went to the basement and found the large furnace cover down on the floor, exposing all he inside lines, etc.; I called Wadsworth and Jeff was over in less than 2 hours. He put the cover in more securely and anchored it better.

Just bought this house. Heat was not working. They were prompt but I was surprised at the cost ($75 for the service call and another $75 for the repair which he listed as a "tripped flame rollout"). There were no parts involved. The furnace had just been serviced 2 months prior by them so none of that was involved. I called the service department so that I may speak to the person who came out. After all, I feel it is reasonable to have some communication with the person who performed the repair. I was told that he would call me back. This never happened. I also inquired about a service plan (the previous owners were on one) and was told that it was the person who came out to my house that could answer that question. I obviously still don't know because he never called back. I submitted a letter to the service department about this and still they did not contact me.

The representative was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, and did not try to sell me anything I did not need. I would definitely call them again.

Excellent service; called to make sure I was home; arrived on time; explained everything to me, what he was doing on the furnace, the charges, what PK will do for me in the future. Will call them again in the Spring to check the air conditioning unit.

Salesman provided estimate - work was done exactly as specified. Workers were reliable, trustworthy and very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. Installer identified a major issue with electrical box that others missed. Work was cleaned up each day and at end of job. Excellent job by all involved - we could not be happier. We plan on using this company for future heating/cooling needs.

As a nonagenarian widow, deeply appreciate being able to call on conscientious service people. Honesty, promptness, reliability.

Used company's website to request a quote for new (replacement) A/C system. Received no response in 1 week so followed up with a phone call. Representative did come out to my house and said he would call in three days to discuss quote before sending it. Confirmed phone numbers with the representative but never received a phone call or written quote from the company.

They were very professional and courteous. I highly recommend them to others. Their sales staff were excellent. I compared them to others and found that they were the most reasonably priced.

We went to another supplier who did breakdown the overall cost of the job.

They provided us with an estimate over the phone and installed the unit within the next three weeks (they needed to ensure a sunny day because they had to cut a hole in our roof). Jeremy installed our unit. He was prompt and professional and did an excellent job. We would not hesitate to use this company again.

He came with an estimate and we had two others and we decided to go with PK Wadsworth. He came back and did a fine job. Honest, reliable and had a good price for the work.

They were OK. They followed up quickly with any problems.

We arrived home to a cold house from visiting my parents on a Sunday night. I called P.K. Wadsworth at 8:00 pm to come and take a look at our furnace because my husband could not get it running. I told the guy on call that I had a toddler and an infant and that I needed to know if it could be fixed or if we needed to go to a hotel. He sent Cliff out to take a look at it. It took him an hour and a half to get to my house but he was coming from a great distance. Cliff arrived at around 10 pm and finished at 11 pm. We went to bed at 12 am with a nice warm house. They did a good job. It did cost more because it was an emergency call but it was a great alternative to spending the night in the cold or up rooting kids to go to a hotel. Very professional and didn't mind the messy house. We are asking them to come and give us an estimate on a new furnace.

I was very happy with the overall experience. They were going to present a proposal to me to revise my a/c unit and I have yet to receive that proposal.

They did an excellent job and cleaned-up beautifully. I didn't even know they were there! They came when they said they would. Great experience.

They are very responsive. Every time they come out the are courteous. They are a great company to work with.

He was very polite, professional and helpful. I do not have a contract with PK Wadsworth; I called them after reading up on Angie's List. I absolutely will use them in the future because they seem knowledgeable and trustworthy.
