KETCHUM AUTOMOTIVE

The night before, my car overheated and stalled out.  There appeared to be a large crack on the top of the radiator which was where steam was coming out when it overheated.  There was no way it could be driven any distance to a garage.  I would have had to have it towed which could have been costly.  Very close to where I live is a place called Ketchum Automotive.  Because of their proximity, I thought I would give them a call.  I was very worried because most garages require an appointment to bring your car in and sometimes it could be several days before they can get you in.  I was already trying to figure out what I was going to do for transportation since this was my only vehicle.  I called about 9:30 a.m. and explained the problem.  He told me to bring the car down and he'd look at it.  I drove it down.  I had no way home except to walk and he told me that he'd be more than happy to take me home and pick me up when the car was done.  That was really nice to know, especially if you have no other form of transportation and no one to pick you up.  He got the car in right away, checked it out, and called to tell me what the problem was(it was the large crack in the top).  He also told me the total cost for replacing the radiator.  He said he'd called around the area and no one had the radiator I needed in stock so he was going to have to get it from Lima, Ohio and it wouldn't be there until around 4 p.m.  He said he was going to get the old one out and when the new one got there he would get it in right away.  He called about 4:30 p.m. saying it was finished.  He showed me the large crack in the radiator.  The bill came to exactly the price I was quoted and it was very reasonable.  I was very impressed with the whole experience - customer service was excellent, prices were very reasonable, work was done quickly, there was no waiting, and there was a nice friendly atmosphere there.  I was very relieved that I could get this taken care of right away and wasn't without transportation for more than a few hours.  I will definitely be taking my car back to Ketchum's for future service.
