Tracie (President) or anyone from White Glove Cleaning Services didn't return my first call requesting a quote. I had received two postcards offering a 20% discount on my first cleaning. I called back, thinking maybe I messed up when I left my callback number. Tracie answered and brushed off my comment that I had called and no one had called me back – but then acted very business-like and, first made sure the date that I needed the cleaning was open and then scheduled a date for her to come out and give me an estimate. I explained that our daughter had just had a baby and I was going to be out of town helping her and would arrive home just a few days before our son's wedding, so I just wanted to have the house cleaned to have the peace of mind that I didn't have to worry about doing it when I got home. She said she totally understood and knew exactly where my neighborhood was and that they had over 500 clients in this area – with many in my neighborhood. She called me like she said she would as she was on her way and arrived just a couple minutes late for the appointment to give me the estimate. She toured my entire home and took detailed notes about everything that I wanted cleaned. Then she gave me an estimate and verified that my 20% coupon was still valid. I told her that I just wanted to go ahead and schedule the cleaning and she told me that was great. I asked what time they would arrive and she said "by 9 a.m.". I asked if it was going to be one person or two persons, etc. and she told me that it varied and wasn't sure which crew she would assign to clean my home. She left me with a copy of the estimate, some information on the company-which included the instructions for getting your home ready for the cleaners to come, along a magnet to hang on the refrigerator with their phone number, address, etc. A few days later, I left for an over a week stay at my daughter's--and many times calmed myself down, telling myself at least I don't have to worry about cleaning the house when I got home. My husband texted me a couple times and asked me what I wanted him to do as far as cleaning to get ahead of things and I told him we didn't have to worry because I had hired this company and they would be cleaning the whole house on the Thursday prior to the wedding. Things were very hectic as I got home late Saturday night had family arrive early for the wedding on Sunday, then worked on Tuesday and Wednesday. After I got into bed Wednesday night, I thought "maybe I should've called to verify everything" but got up early in the morning, got dressed and moved a few things around to get ready for the cleaners to arrive at 9 AM. Our son, the groom, was staying here and got up and put his room together and arranged to be gone while the cleaners are here. Around 8:45 AM, I voiced concern that no one had called to tell me they were on their way, but held off calling the number on the magnet until 8:55. When I called the number, I got the recording with Tracie's voice like the first time when I called. My heart sunk, but I went ahead and left a message anyway, telling her who I was, my address, etc. and that I was nervous because no one had contacted me and I was still waiting for the cleaning crew to get there. I called again a couple times before 9:15 and was just sick to my stomach, wondering what I was going to do. My son had a bunch of things to do, but I offered to stay when I mentioned maybe I should just drive over to their business at the address shown on the magnet. Off I went in my slippers and drove into the parking lot of the address--finding a building with their sign as one of the businesses on the front of the building. However, when I went to Suite A (the Suite # listed on the magnet) there was a different company name on the door and a blank sign where it looks like another company name may have been. My heart sunk further. I picked up my phone and called the number again and left Tracie yet a fourth message...I think she would hear my voice breaking as I asked her how she could have come to my house, given me a quote, scheduled my cleaning and let me think that someone was going to come and help me by getting my house clean before my son's wedding. I asked how no one could've called me and let me know if there was a problem with scheduling, etc. I told her I was standing outside the business and that she doesn't even have an office there… As one can imagine, the rest my day was an absolute mess. I didn't get to do the other things I'd planned to get done or spend some quality time with my son before he got married--go to lunch, etc. like I had planned. My son was running around dusting instead of getting the stuff he needed to get done for his wedding. It is now 5 days later and I have not received one return call from Tracie or any representative from this company. One more note – when I left the first message for Tracie after no one showed up, I quickly googled "White Glove Cleaning Perrysburg Ohio reviews " and found one review on YELP. It was by a man who complained that he called to receive an estimate and never received a call back. He called back and someone answered-- he complained that no one returned his call and was told "we were busy". He said he gave them another chance and called again and no one returned his call again. I wish I'd seen this review before I trusted this person/company at such an important and stressful time. Why wouldn't someone--at the very least--call back?
