I did not contact with them for the job (we decided against concrete) but their response time and professionalism was great. If we ever decide on concrete, this is who we will call!

This is our second time working with Mark and he is top notch. He runs a tight ship and his employees are all terrific. I would hire him again and again. The price is right. The work is good and it is done when he says it will be done.

As of today October 22nd the day they were supposed to do the work, I have not heard from them on what day they will actually be doing the work.  Faxed them today to cancel the work order and will reschedule for spring, with their option to issue a new estimate as prices might have increased.  I found them very professional in dealing with them and they returned my phone calls promptly.  However I have waited 3 months for them to perform the work and am still not certain when they would have performed the job.  I understand that their jobs require a good assist from mother nature but with the weather turning colder I could no longer wait for them to get in touch with me on when the job would be completed.  They have gotten rave reviews from Angies' list members and this in no way insinuates that they would not have done a good job for me.  I am just tired of waiting.  It only would have taken a phone call to let me know when to expect them, that would be the courteous thing to do.

Mark was on time, honest about how many weeks it could be before he got to my job and price was reasonable.  He explained exactly how he would approach fixing the job that had been started.  The work was done sooner then expected as a previous customer delayed. The work was done exactly as agreed and looks great.  The patio & walk ways are wonderful.

It is gorgeous.  They were a dream to work with.  I appreciated their honestly, promptness, professionalism.  They were willing to work with our budget and the end product was beautiful

Mycontractor moved up my generator install date by two weeks so, I had to pour my own generator pad with the help of my neighbor.  The job came out fine the pad is completely level to specifications the generator contractor gave me. 
I would recommend Mark and Anne to anyone for their concrete needs.

He promptly called me back and made an appointment to come look at the job.  When he got here, he said it was smaller than the jobs he takes on.  But, he gave me the names of 3 different people who he has worked with in the past, and felt that they would be dependable/honest.  I appreciated both his honesty and suggestions of folks who take on small concrete jobs--it saved me time filtering through the list of providers on Angie's List trying to find someone to take on my small project!

The contractor tore out and hauled away the old curb/gutter.  After preparing the site, concrete was poured.  Also, one foot of asphalt extending into the road was replaced as required by Upper Arlington.  The crew did an excellent job with no damage to the adjacent lawn.  The work site was completely cleaned up.  Discussions with Mr. Rodgers before the work was performed were very helpful.

Actually started the job early. Mark and his crew had the old patio removed and the job formed with gravel fill in the first day. Also replaced a window well to fit with the rest of the job. Due to rain, the pour wasn't for a couple of days. The patio looks great, and Mark and his group are excellent, professional, and efficient. Expect Mark to take a while to get to your job, but well worth the wait.

I researched many different companies and everybody quoted similar price. I picked Mark Rodgers due to great review but I am not sure  I made right choice. I signed his proposal mid March and estimated time of work was end of May. A day before agreed job date I called to make sure that they were coming. Anne (Marks wife- sweet lady), told me that Mark is doing some big job that got delayed and that would need to delay mine. I spoke with her  about us expecting baby  mid July and that would be nice to have it done before wife gets too close to due date. Close to end of June I called again and this time around reason for delay was rain (I understand that one). Mid July I called them back and per Mark there were 2 and half jobs ahead of mine and he expected to have it done by the end of July. Mid August I called them back AGAIN (left message). When Anne called back  reason for delay this time was that my paperwork was lost. She told me that Mark will do job next day. 2 hours later Mark called to advise that he is on the way to prep driveway. I told him that I am not at home  and that one of the cars is in the garage and that my wife still has restriction for driving due to recent baby delivery. He pretty much did not care and acted that he was doing me a favor. Wait, I have been patient for 3 months waiting for them to come and do the job. I expected little bit of respect not just to be told because I am customer here.
 
Ok job got done. At the end of the job they washed all their tools (without approval) in the middle of front yard and now I have concrete pieces in my lawn and solid hard concrete in flower bed edge.
 
Work looks similar compared to jobs done in our neighborhood (at least 5-10 drives I have seen).  Only time can show quality.
So far  I have never given negative review to anybody (I am easy going). If Mark Rodgers was updating me every 2-3 weeks with their progress I would not be upset at all (except washing tools in the middle of my front yard).  Hope they see this review as opportunity to improve their business practices.

Everything went according to plan.

Mark was very professional. He knew his stuff like the formula of the cement. He was pretty good and on time. I put the driveway work off for a little while because my daughter is getting married but I might use him.

We couldn't ask for a better experience.

He was amazing. He basically came out and did the estimate. He listened though. He told me that I do not need to completely rip and replace the stairs. He thought that I could level them and patch them. So, it was just kind of an integrity thing where he was not just trying to make a bunch of money off of me because I would not have known the difference, but he instead gave me another option that was much more affordable and also gave me the name of the company who could do it. I called them and they did it. It was a free estimate.

I had obtained a quote from reputable company for replacing driveway- estimate was $33,000(yes, it's a large driveway.  Mark came out and recommended that instead of replacing it, simply repair couple of places, and then power wash and seal.  I agreed and Mark's son Joe, who is building a side business of repairing, washing and sealing did the job.  He was great, got the work done quickly, and just as we had agreed.  Joe was a pleasure to work with.

He was very nice. I really appreciated that time he spent with me. I would definitely hire him in the future if I needed concrete work done. He looked at it and he said pouring concrete is not going to work, "I can't do this for you, here are the problems". But then instead of just leaving and saying "okay, that is it", he stayed with me for another 20 minutes of his time to talk to me about what I could to instead which is great.

We reviewed and contacted several concrete contractors on Angie's List and my wife and I felt the most comfortable with Mark. He responded to our estimate inquiry quickly and was very upfront and honest with us about the entire process. We originally wanted a stamped concrete patio, but after evaluating our space, Mark suggested we may not want to introduce an additional texture to our entry way. He was more than happy to give us a stamped patio if that is what we wanted, but he recommended a simple concrete pad ? this was essentially a $1,500 difference in price in our favor. We appreciated his professional opinion and the fact that he was more interested in us being happy with the product than up-selling us to something we may regret. Due to the time of year we had contacted Mark, he informed us that jobs usually were scheduled for 60 days out but since ours was a one-day job, he might be able to squeeze us in sooner. We only waited 30 days and Mark called me at 7 am to see if he could have a crew do our project that day. Mark and his son Joseph arrived around 8am and by 1pm, the old steps and sidewalk were gone and the new patio and step were poured and setting.
We went with Mark's suggestion and got the concrete pad and are very happy with it. We have been landscaping around the area and Mark was 100% right, it ties in perfectly with what we already have.
I cannot recommend Mark enough. We are very pleased and my wife appreciated how Mark explained everything to her and made sure she was comfortable and aware of every aspect of the job before he proceeded on anything.

In October 2012 we obtained multiple estimates from contractors we found on Angie's List.  Mark was by far the most helpful in determining what needed to be done and the timing. His estimate was very reasonable compared to several of the other quotes.  The weather turned bad soon after we selected Mark.  Rather than take a chance on installing the driveway when it would not have adequate time to cure or could possibly suffer from salt damage, Mark recommended that we wait until the spring before pouring the new concrete. 
We took Mark's recommendation and are glad we did.  Mark kept in constant touch with us during the winter and spring months.  As soon as the weather broke Mark scheduled the job in April 2013.  The crew was on time and efficient.  They cleaned up at the end of each day.  The job was completed on time and in budget.  We could not be happier. We've had several people in the neighborhood stop and ask who did our driveway and sidewalks because they made such a huge improvement in the curb appeal of the house. We would rate Mark Rodgers Construction an A+

Mark Rodgers and his company are a pleasure to deal with!  They were prompt, courteous at all times, and Mark personally took the time to explain the whole process to me.  I couldn't be happier with his work.  Our new driveway is beautiful!
When he was removing the old driveway, he discovered that corners had been cut when it was installed.  Mark explained that he would need to do additional excavation work and lay new gravel to get it ready.  I figured there would be an increased cost associated with the extra work.  Mark didn't charge me one penny more than the original estimate!  I was amazed!
In all my dealings with home service and repair people, I've never met anyone with more honesty and integrity than Mark Rodgers.  I would use him again in a heartbeat, and anyone that reads this testimonial would be foolish to not call him for an estimate on their work!

Joseph removed the walk, leveled the surface, and put the forms in. They took care of the city inspection. Although they were not able to re-pour the walk immediately due to weather, they got to it as soon as the weather permitted.  They keep in excellent contact.

Mark came to evaluate our current situation of a partially removed patio relating to basement water issues. He did give us an estimate for a new concrete patio, but did not recommend that we even put in a new patio, given our circumstances. Mark is a quality professional who shared  his expertise while not profiting in any way from us for his time and knowledge. Refreshing.
