Gas tank and fuel lines to be cleaned for 200.0 . I gave 300. Deposit . They tried saying it needed 2000.0 worth of work. I request only tank clean When I need to get car back from them and asked for the balance he was rude , yelling and threatening me with a mechanics lean . I had to call the police to get my car back. When car was inspected by other mechanic they said tank wasn't even clean still deposited inside it

"The customer came in with a car that is 34 years old and has been sitting for over 20 years. When he brought it in he expressed that he wanted a "full restoration" on the car, this is what we based our estimate on (the customer explained that he got the car for a "steal" so he did not mind putting some money into it). The fuel had turned to gel in the tank, the fuel pump and float has basically rotted away, the injectors are clogged, the timing belt is understandably dry-rotted, the hoses and belts, seals and gaskets, water pump etc. need to be replaced. We gave the customer several options to choose from, he called and pestered our employees roughly 13 times an hour, changing his mind dozens of times--this was very time-consuming and tied up our phone line when other customers were trying to get through.. We don't force our customers to do anything, we give them options and they make the choice. He finally settled on doing the gas tank cleanout and the timing service and gave us a deposit for that. The customer then showed up shortly thereafter when everyone was out to lunch and demanded to see his old parts, and was threatening to "take us to social media".. I am sorry, but we then fired him as our customer and returned his deposit. If you don't trust us , and you come into our store threatening to blast us online before we even have a chance to remove your parts, then we are not a good fit. Here is one of the threats that we screen shotted: "Don't worry reviews hurt more. Enjoy them. Every email account is a new review. You guys are liars , cheats, and theives the consumers need to know"; To which we replied that this is is not only unethical but is also a direct violation of Google policy."

Hate leaving this review since initally they were a good shop but turned quickly when they misdiagosed my VW Touareg fan issue and replaced the wrong fan (two in the 4.2L) $600 w installation. Not only was it the wrong fan but 1 month wait for special order VW dealer part that turned out to be a 3rd party knockoff. They refused to make this right or even refund my money for the $400 "dealer" fan. So bottomline, they replaced my working fan with knock off that failed. Left in the original failing fan that also had to be replaced by another shop $900 more in expense (Simon's in Cleveland Heights - highly recommended). In the end these German Auto Pros messed up, refused to make it right and lost a customer forever. BEWARE.

It went very well. I had dropped the car off the previous night, it was ready the following evening. I don't know what Cary did for the motor during the preventive maintenance, but the this 9 year old VW diesel runs better now than when the car was new, and it ran well then.
German Auto Pros is not cheap, although they're more reasonable than the dealerships.

I've owned German cars all of my life, and this is honestly the best independent shop I've ever experienced. They are honest, extremely fair, and get the work done pretty quickly.
You can tell a lot about a shop by how they act when things go wrong - and things will go wrong at some point with every shop, even the dealer. I had a small issue after a major service - they brought me right in after I called, fixed the issue within the hour, and had me back on my way without any extra fees or trying to assign blame to something I did. Their reaction was simply and quot;I'll take care of itand quot; - and they did.
I won't go anywhere else for service on VW or Audi - best shop in NE Ohio.

Prices are significantly cheaper than the dealership. Really quick service. I wish I would have found them earlier. If you don't want to get ripped off by the dealership, go here! They know what they are doing, and I am really happy with the service. They even had me come down to verify the problem before doing any work.
