Our experience includes building new homes and a wide variety of remodeling projects. While we worked with other those various builders and remodelers we have acted as a sponge and absorbed the good and bad practices of each company and now have incorporated those practices into our own company. Also, we have worked to establish policies and procedures within the everyday operation of our company to ensure that what we do is done efficiently. Our full service construction team specializes in servicing each client’s specific needs, from the first stage of design to the last paint stroke. Each project is assigned a lead carpenter to oversee your remodeling investment and manage every detail “On The Spot” to ensure 100% satisfaction. We offer the most competitive pricing for remodeling and maintenance services in the area as well as a staff that is totally dedicated to your experience and well being during the process. We have established relationships with our trade partners and suppliers to ensure the lowest price while delivering quality. When you invite JEMM Construction into your home we take that invitation very seriously and treat your home as if it were our own. At JEMM Construction we’re aware of how difficult it can be to trust someone to come into your home and make sometimes drastic changes. Our staff strives to make your remodeling project a pleasant experience, not a stressful one. We would rather be invited back into your home after the project is complete to enjoy a nice dinner in celebration of your newly remodeled space instead of an invitation to fix items that were not handled properly. We employ 10 well trained and skilled individuals along with our Qualified Trade Partners for some of the work that we do. Once the work started, there was someone at our home almost every day doing some form of demo or starting the new installation. Mark kept me up to date on who would be coming to perform work and what work would be getting done. Everyone that came into our home from the Jemm Construction employees, tile guys (and we had a lot of tile work), and other people were all very polite, trust worthy and treated our home with respect.
Mark was very important in helping me pick out materials from tiles, fixtures, granite, vanities and kitchen cabinetry to make sure all the colors blended. I can't believe how great it all came together and I know that I could not have done it on my own.
The contractors were very good about cleaning up each day and Mark is a very detailed person that made sure that our home was left in as clean a condition as possibly with all that was going on each day.
We had some add-ons and I assume this to be normal once construction starts and Mark was always willing to help with those items: new ceiling fan in master bedroom, new water line in kitchen, new outlet in kitchen for TV, granite countertop in powder room. I was so happy with the bedroom ceiling fan and waterline in the kitchen as these were things that I had been wanting for so long and didn't know if I could have :)
The total remodel took about 4 weeks with some down time at the end waiting for mirrors that I ordered late. I had grown to feel like the employees of Jemm were like family and even though I was ready to get my home back I was going to miss seeing them every day.
When I talk about my remodel with family and friends I always recommend Jemm Construction and would use them again in the future. I love my new kitchen but my husband and I both agree that we love our master bath the most with the spa like feel and the tiled shower.
Sharing your house for three months is not a dream, but it went very well - they were very considerate of our needs, and I never felt uncomfortable in my house because of them. We needed some extra help moving things - and they consistently went the extra mile to help us. They were even nice to our dogs. They petted them. Talked to them - and even let them out if we were in a pinch.
Jemm helped us make decisions - I'd often ask "If this was your house, what would you do?" I believe they treated our house as if it was their own.
Our house looks and feels like a brand new house, and is the way we want it. I look forward to having Jemm work on some other projects in the future, including remodeling the basement and changing a half bath to a full bath. Jemm is the contractor we will use, and one we are recommending to everyone.
