We had a tile shower installed while building a house and noticed that it was leaking and causing damage to the walls and flooring. We reached out and it took them months to come out and look at it. They did quick fix that didn’t solve the issue. There were a number of issues with the installation, the grout was soft and crumbling, caulk wasn’t done in the right locations, water proofing wasn’t done correctly, etc. The owner (Mike Guhde) eventually came out and we were hoping he would resolve the issue. But he didn’t see a problem with the installation and suggested another quick fix. We talked to our neighbors who also had tile showers installed and they were experiencing similar issues with leaks and damaged base boards. We decided it was best to have them remove the tile completely and we went with a different shower.

Everything went very nicely. All was completed as promised & this was just in time for the holidays. We selected the luxury vinyl & their product knowledge was wonderful. Guhde’s made the entire process a terrific experience. Highly recommend them.

Both at the Guhde store and with the installation, I am perfectly satisfied with all aspects for my project, from start to finish. The store personnel were friendly and knowledgeable. The price for the materials and installation was reasonable also. The man that Guhde contracted to install the backsplash, Dan F., did a great job with the installation. He was friendly and expert and took about 7 hours to carefully and beautifully apply the mosaic 2" X 2" ceramic tiles to our kitchen walls. Our kitchen appearance improved greatly from this service. It will be enjoyed for years to come. ***Just one other note*** From the time of the job down payment to the actual installation was 2 months. I knew this from the start as this company is very busy and I was OK with that time frame.

As the installers were tearing out the old carpeting, we realized there was a lot of damage from years of having pets. They rearranged their schedule so that we could seal the floors before the new carpeting was laid. When they installed the carpeting, they did an excellent job

Went very well.  Worker was friendly, knowledgeable, skilled, and on time.  Cleaned up very well after job was done.

They showed up on time and took all the measurements and gave me the best quote in the area.  They then came on time and worked very hard and had everything put in within the days scheduled.  The first day (after the hardwood was put in) they did not remove all the trash and needed to come back the next day, but they did come early the next day and cleaned out my garage of all the trash.  The second service day was for the carpet and they cleaned up everything and vacuumed my carpet and put it in very well.  No smells from the carpet (per Mike Guhdy, they let the carpet air out in their warehouse before bringing to your home).
When all said and done, they came in at exactly what they had estimated.........not a dime more, and it looks beautiful.

We ordered vinyl plank flooring from Guhde and were not happy with our choice when the material came in.  The small sample that we brought home to view was evidently not enough to give us a good picture of what the finished floor would look like. We went back to Guhde to return the flooring and to look for something else, but were told that there would be a 25% re-stocking fee and a $200 charge for return shipping.  This is obviously excessive, but we understand that this is not necessarily under Guhde's control.  Our main problem is that Guhde should have let us know before we placed the order that material not stocked would be subject to these fees if it is returned.  They were not very concerned with our dilemma and did not offer any help (maybe split the shipping cost/discount on an alternate selection/etc.).  We will not be returning to Guhde Floor Coverings.

When the carpet arrived, 3 men came & installed it in 3 hours. They were on time, in fact 15 minutes early!, layed the carpet and  vacuumed the heck out of it! They left  a clean area.

Beautifully done work.  All crews were timely, professional and very
neat.  Mike followed up on each stage to make sure we were satisfied
with how the work was going and he inspected the final job.  He also
gave us a great referral for a contractor that replaced our fireplace
mantel and hearth.

We went to Guhde on Mentor Avenue and worked with Monica and Mike to pick out the best flooring for our place.  We are on a slab, so went with engineered hardwood in 3 rooms and a small hallway.  We were able to take samples home which made it easier to decide on a color.  Larry and Paul did the installation and were amazing.  We have a curved fireplace hearth and Paul handcut each piece of hardwood to follow the curve exactly.  Everyone was helpful and good to work with which made a stressful project much easier.

The entire process was as perfect as it could be.  When I asked to take carpet samples home, there was no problem and Ghude did not even ask me for a credit card deposit as every other carpet dealer had done.Their service staff was extremely helpful, but not pushy ... they fully explained the differences in carpet, but did not try to persuade me to buy and particular brand or style

.When I made my decision (after taking samples home on three different ) the order arrived in the time they estimated and it was installed the very next day! The installers arrived promptly at the time scheduled and did a most professional job in a difficult area. They removed the old carpeting, installed the new, cleaned up every speck of debris and were out of our home in what we considered a very short time. I would most definitely go to Ghude for any future carpet or other flooring needs.

Had an excellent experience with this company. We decided to replace our kitchen and dining room floors with bamboo flooring which is beautiful but can vary widely in quality according to my research. We decided to go with Guhde as they are a famiy-owned business and have been around some 50+ years. The overall cost was more but I figured it was well worth the investment in the home and the assurance we would be receiving a quality product that was installed with professionalism and care.

They did a great job and were the cheapest by far.  They saved us over $1000 in comparison to others.  They were efficient, on time, but didn’t cleanup before they left and I had to do it.     The price was fantastic.   The work was fine and I will use them again in the future.

Diane & Mike Guhde were involved from start to finish. Excellent selection of carpet no pressure and great price. Installers arrived on time and completed the job in about 4 hours. They moved and replaced furniture, picked up all scrap carpet and vacuumed all carpet. My wife and I our completely satisfied.

I initially went to store. They gave me lots of info and took a lot of time to answer my questions. They came out to my home to give me the estimate. He was a bit late and did not call to let me know, but when he was here he spent a good amount of time for estimate. He had a really good turn around time in getting the estimate back to me. He even followed up with me a few days later.

This work took them 3 days. They did a fantastic job. We were very comfortable with the sales process. The sales people were very patient with us. The installers were very nice. Overall, they just did a great job.
