 + 0 moreDavid gave me a quote for time and materials and also was able to tell me more about the age and condition of the table. Turns out it was much older than we thought and was constructed entirely of quarter sawn oak! Probably from the late 1800's during the Arts and Crafts movement. He was able to get nearly all of the staining off the top and to make new trim pieces to match the trim on the legs of the table. He sent me several pictures during the restoration process and double checked with me about the restoration. The table was finished much quicker than I thought it might be and we are all thrilled with the work! The stain and finish he chose really make the grain of the wood stand out and it has become a beautiful centerpiece for worship. His estimate was right on, and was very reasonable. I'm currently getting a quote for some work for myself!
Description of Work: My church had an antique communion table that we wanted to have restored. It had been stored in a room and had been stained and the finish was nearly worn off on the top and there were some pieces of trim missing on the legs. Since the church is moving and this was going with us, we wanted to have it restored so we could take it with us to our new home.
