Harrison Floors has been family owned and operated since 1948. We serve Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. We install and refinish over 750 floors per year. Our goal is to provide you excellent customer service and a professional hardwood floor job. We are fully insured and covered by workers comp. I was initially concerned about the cost, as it was significantly more than 2 other estimates I received, however I decided that this family-run business has been around longer, and the owners seemed more knowledgeable, professional, and honest (in terms of explaining my options and the likely results from floor refinishing vs replacement) than the other bidders. They would not even consider putting fewer than 3 finish coats on the floors, as one other bidder suggested. Also I was able to save some money by removing the old flooring and nails myself in the room receiving new flooring--and the Harrisons were amenable to this change in services. The finished product (both new flooring and refinished old flooring) is spectacular, and I would hire this company again in a heartbeat. In fact, I intend eventually to have them replace the floors they refinished, when we are better able to afford this expense.
