During that time period; I had to call them several times to remind them I was low on propane, at which point they would come out and fill the tank. Interesting enough ~ they had no problem RUSHING out a few days after the CHEAPER price was no longer in effect and fill the tank at the higher rate ~ even if it was at 50 % full on a 500 gallon tank which would have lasted me all summer until the Fall fill up at the cheaper rate. Furthermore, they began adding additional hazard fees, delivery fees onto EACH invoice ~ although it was not part of the contract stating I had no other choice but to pay the bill. After the second season, I went with another company and called them in September of 2010 and told them to remove thier tank ~ they abondoned it on my property! The new propane company I hired informed me that Ferrel Gas set their tank illegally ~ that a propane tank is not allowed within 10 feet of a residence; which Ferrell's tank was placed next to the siding / wall and it was a violation of the fire codes and I could be fined for this. From September 2010 ~ June 6, 2011 I called Ferrel Gas requesting they remove their tank from my backyard. Instead they sent me letter after letter requesting that I become a customer again; the last letter dated April 13, 2011 extended an offer of 100 free gallons of propane ~ as if I even cared at this point! I called and explained my reasoning for not wanting to be thier customer and the letters were only upsetting me more ~ and their refusal to remove thier tank was one more reason why I would never be a customer again! Constant phone calls to remove a tank and I was ignored. Spring arrived and I couldn't drive my riding lawn mower through the gate to my backyard with 2 tanks in my way ~ I called several times and explained to NO avail. I was forced to hire a nieghbor kid to cut my lawn and threatened to charge Ferrell Gas for the cost. FInally ~ at this point they sent a truck out in May but the ground was so wet...... 9 months later imagine that (spring time) that they couldnt drive on the property and they had to leave. FINALLY June 6, 2011 they picked the tank up after I called again and threatened them.... at this point I was ready to call the News Team out because of all the tanks around the neighborhood sitting abandoned. NEVER again will I use this company, if I would have thought about this I would have sent them a certified letter October 1st, 2010 and began charging them rent to use my land and met them in court.
Description of Work: I hired Ferrel Gas to provide me with Propane at my residential home address the last two years; 2008 and 2009 at a set contract price. The billings terms were "Net 30 days.... keep the tank full" which meant when they were in the neighborhood the would fill it ~ keep it full. The cheaper price was locked in during the winter months, I believe the lower price was removed the end of March each year.
