Description of Work: I bought the outside faucet deal and scheduled the appointment. The guy arrived as scheduled, but could not turn off the water to perform the work (not his fault). While he was here we discussed some additional work I wanted done in my basement - removal of old laundry tubs and replacement with new tub and faucet and replace some galvanized pipe with copper. He gave me an estimate ($950) and ordered the supplies. After the water department came out to locate the outside shutoff value, I called Sal's and they sent out two young men to do the work. It took several hours, but they cleaned up the work area and did what SEEMED to be a good job. A few days later I tried to do laundry and discovered that the cold water supply to my washer had been disconnected. I called Sal's back to explain what happened and they sent two different employees out to fix the problem. They reconnected the cold water line, but not the way it was - they connected it to the line running to the outside faucet, which by that time I had turned off for winter. My new outside faucet drips, so I have to keep it turned off at all times until I need to use it (which I didn't notice at first because I had a hose attached to it). By the time I realized how screwed up everything was, it was the middle of an awful winter, so I put off calling them back. When I finally did (months ago)and explained the problems, they said someone would call me back. No one ever did. Apparently they have no intention of fixing this situation, and I have no intention of every using this company again.

Description of Work: They offered a coupon for a $69 Outdoor Hose Faucet Replacement. I called and scheduled a time. First issue was that I had to be home the entire day (from 8 to 5) since they fit in the coupon people when they can so as not to inconvenience their full-pay customers (love being a 2nd class customer). As it turned out it was after 7:00 p.m. when they finally called to come. I rescheduled for the following Friday since it was the only other day my husband could be home. Second, when they got here they told us we needed to pay an additional $100 for a faucet that wouldn't freeze. My problem with that is: they advertised an OUTDOOR FAUCET replacement; we live and their business is located in an area that has a freezing season, of course the faucet should be one that doesn't freeze. The coupon should have been clear for the type of faucet they were going to use - not imply OUTDOOR when the faucet wouldn't be appropriate for an outdoor application. Their work was good, and the man who came out was pleasant. However, I feel that I was tricked, and of course will not use them again.

Description of Work: I had them quote a 20 SEER A/C unit, 97% efficient furnace and a two zone zoning system. They were the most expensive and a little over $3000 above the lowest bid.

Description of Work: Replaced outdoor faucet. Suggested upgrade to frost free, but did not push me for decision. I chose to use their suggestion which I believed to be good advice. Sal worked quickly and cleaned up the area afterward. I would recommend using this company. Faucet works perfectly.

Description of Work: Company was unable to perform tasks and stated job to repair thermastat would cost at least 90.00 per hour.The worker/tech said he could not perform work for less and could not give an estimate. He should know how long the job would take. I am back to square one. |Sad trying to find quality, honest companies. | |How sad a person cannot find honest willing workers.
