THE ORIGINAL MATTRESS FACTORY

My son got a bunk bed set and we gave his old bedroom set (inclu. mattress and box springs) to his younger brother. The bunk bed set came with bunkie boards, so all we needed were the mattresses, we did not need the box springs. We went to several different stores and the sales people at those other stores did not seem to be too interested in selling us just the mattresses. Often the prices they quoted us for mattresses were 2/3 the price of the whole set and were very expensive. We decided to try the Original Mattress Factory one day while we were out. The sales man greeted my son and me. He did not seem to be put off that I was shopping with my six year old. I explained that he had just gotten a bunk bed set that we had bunkie boards and we were looking for mattresses only. He said it wasn't a problem. He then took me to the twin mattresses and pointed to two mattresses that he recommended for bunk beds. These mattresses were the lowest type nor were high type either. He explained that the two mattresses were double sided and could be flipped. He said the only difference between the two was that one was a firmer mattress and the other was softer. He also explained that since they make all of their mattresses and box springs, they do not take a hit like regular retailers when we only buy the mattress only and they are left with an extra box springs. The prices were very reasonable. Much more so than any other store. The firm mattress was $149 and the soft mattress was $169. My son preferred the softer mattress so we bought it. The do charge for delivery ($38) but we were allowed to pick the mattress up at the store with our SUV and drive it to our house. So we didn't have to pay a delivery fee. We only bought one mattress at the time. But so far so good my son sleeps just fine in it and it seems very comfortable to me, so we will be going back next month to buy the second mattress for the top bunk.

We had been into the store a couple of times to look around. All of the salespeople were helpful, knowledgeable, and polite without being the least bit pushy. The quality and comfort of the mattress is great, and considerably less expensive than competitors. The product was in stock and delivered within a few days on the following Saturday. They called to let us know when they'd be coming. They did, however, show up an hour earlier than their given time range, which was fine with us, but could be a problem for others. I would definitely recommend this store and would come back again.
