About us

We have been in business for over 30 years. We specializei n Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, Amana, Kitchenaid, Jenn-aire and Caloric appliance repair. Also, we have continued to educate ourselves with regard to the new technological advances in the industry. The newest brands such as Haier, LG and Samsung can be repaired by us. We began years ago in the repair of on premises laundry equipment and continue to do so today. These repairs were and are for coin-ops, nursing homes and motel/hotels. They include brands such as Milnor, Wascomat, Huebsch and Cissell.

Services we offer

We repair all major household appliances including washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, compactors, stoves, ovens, cooktops and some microwaves. We also install most of the appliances listed above including wall hung microwaves, and stove vents. Call and give us the details and we will tell you if we can do it for you.

Services we don't offer

We don't usually repair small appliances because it simply costs too much. In the past I have suggested that customers take their small appliances to a local hardware or handyman for possible repair. We do not have a location where you can bring your appliances or buy parts. We will be happy to direct you to the nearest parts store. In a pinch we can deliver parts to you if you desire.

Description of Work: Dryer would not start. Replaced door switch and cleaned out a bunch of lint. Had to call serviceman back for same reason. Had to replace switch again at no cost. Has been working fine since. Also, gave me a card for a different service to clean and update the exhaust vent.

Description of Work: First of I took half the day off because they said they would be at my house around 2pm they didn't show up till almost 6 pm. Then they quoted me $300 and tried taking parts with him -- not to find parts -- but to use on someone else's dryer. I found the a replacement motor at a local appliance parts store for $80 and it took me an hour to replace it. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. They are over price and bet on the customer not knowing anything about basic electrical theory. The guy who came tested 2 sensors and couldn't even figure out how to get continuity accross a switch, and came to the assumption that it was the most important part with out even trying to test it. As far as I'm concerned he got lucky on what part it was. Beware using this company.

Response from Phoenix Appliance Repair
Our service times are given inn multiple hours-1-3, 2-5, etc. we attempt to accommodate our customer's availability because of their work schedules. We are often at their homes after work at 5, 6, 7, or 8:00. When a dryer will not run there are a series of tests running from most common to least common fault. This could include anything from a door switch to a motor. Our tests concluded that the motor was bad and so stated on his statement. Mr customer failed to mention in his complaint that this dryer was involved in a basement flood. This motor retails for $124.06 at Servall Appliance Parts. Congratulations to him for getting one for less. My quote for this motor replacement is $225.00 plus tax. This includes 59.95 service/diagnostic fee, $40.00 labor fee and 125.00 for the part plus tax. We did not "get lucky." Mr Customer's knowledge of "basic electrical theory" was useless when he tried experiential appliance repair. In other words, if he knew anything about repairs he wouldn't need a technician to tell him what was wrong. Mr Customer declined our repairs saying he was going to get another dryer for less than $200.00. Finally, when he told us he intended to get a new dryer we asked if we could salvage any parts. He declined that offer also. Since we're rating service, etc., let me rate Mr. customer-A for *******, oops, I mean jerk.
