Geek Squad - Best Buy

My experience with them was good. They were very informative and knowledgeable. I don’t think I paid anything for the work because it was all under warranty. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Although I had to wait two weeks for an appointment, it was well worth the wait. The technician did an excellent job. He arrived on time.  He worked quickly.  He discussed with me what had been done.  He left me follow-up information, which included his contact information.

They were going to charge me $100.00 to look at my computer. He then said that if it needed work than they would deduct that from the price. They told me that I could update the computer for less than what it would cost me to fix it. He told me that if it were him he would go that route, and he explained it to me. He said that my computer was outdated, and that he wouldn't charge me.

Geek Squad can always fix my computers. They are good about communicating with me. They show up on time for their appointments. The last time it was rather expensive, but I had them install an external hard drive for me. I think that overall the prices are a little on the high side, however they come out to my home to do the work and they always get it fixed.

I used Geek Squad out of Best Buy. The person that came out did a great job and repaired the problem. I had a problem with the billing. We were billed twice and I couldn't get them to respond. I finally had to get the credit card company involved to resolve the problem. My husband used the credit card unbeknownst to me and I wrote a check. Chase Bank finally solved the problem for me. I won't use them again.

The person who came to fix the computer (Michael Stein) had the repair done in less than one hour! The Geed Squad is great! They know exactly what they're doing. It has been approximately three months since the repair and we have had no problems.

They were professional and seemed to appreciate our business. They did call around and found a store that had one for us.

I took my computer in for repairs and my restore disks had been lost. In the past they had been able to reload it for me. They said that they couldn't do it anymore. So, I had to repurchase Windows XP. Then, they said that I needed a new disk and called to say that the power supply was bad. They called back and said that the tech found the switch (it is not a name brand, so they didn't think to look). After $800, I brought my system home and it would not work. I called them and was told that it must be something that I was doing. When I finally could get it back in to them, they were rather rude again. The disk they put in had a cracked chip. They replaced it and said that it would be ready by the next day, and four days later, it was still not ready. Again, they were rather rude and suggested that there might be additional charges.

He showed up on time and was very friendly. He told me that for the money I would have to spend to fix the computer, I might as well go out and buy a new one. I appreciate his honesty!

IN SPITE OF 2 SPYWARE PROGRAMS & NORTON VIRUS PROTECTION, WE WERE SHUT DOWN BY SOME BUG. THEY GOT US GOING. THEY ARE LOCATED IN BEST BUY, BUT CAN COME TO YOUR HOME AS WELL, SO YOU HAVE CORPORATE BACKING TO THE WORK DONE.

EVERYBODY BUT THE DELIVERY PEOPLE WERE PROFESSIONAL. THE WASHING MACHINE WAS A DISPLAY MODEL, SO IT WAS DISCOUNTED FROM WHAT A 'NEW' MODEL WOULD COST. THE SALES ASSOCIATE WAS VERY HELPFUL AND KNEW HOW TO RING IT UP CORRECTLY. HE ALSO PROVIDED US WITH INFORMATION REGARDING THE WARRANTY, WHICH WE WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT, CONSIDERING IT WAS THE FLOOR MODEL. INSTRUCTION BOOKS DID NOT COME WITH THE MODEL, BUT HE GAVE US THE WEBSITE FOR US TO DOWNLOAD THEM. THE DELIVERY WAS ON TIME, BUT THE DELIVERYMEN WERE NOT PROFESSIONAL. BEST BUY SAYS THAT THEY WILL HAUL THE OLD APPLIANCE TO THE CURB FOR FREE OR HAUL IT AWAY FOR A FEE. WE ASKED THEM TO HAUL IT TO THE CURB, AND THE DELIVERYMEN RESPONDED THAT, 'THEY DON'T DO THAT,' AND LEFT MY HOUSE. I WAS SHOCKED AND IRRITATED. THAT WAS COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL, AND NOW I AM LEFT TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET A BROKEN WASHER OUT OF MY BASEMENT.
