Although plastic was hung to catch old shingles, there were far too many staples in our yard. We did not find this acceptable as we were assured there would be no excess staples; we have dogs and children playing in the yard.
We were billed extra for new down-spouting and leaf-guards.
However, upon receiving new gutters along the front porch it allowed rain to come down directly across the porch and over the gutters going into the ground and directly into the basement/foundation below due to incorrect adjustment in hanging them. No attempt was made to come out and fix it. So, while the roof was acceptable? the extra work was not.
"We are glad to hear that you are happy with your roof; however, quite surprised that you commented about the gutters. We were not contracted to replace or rehang gutters. Your gutters are spike and ferrule gutters that, once installed can not be removed and installed again correctly. That isn't anything that we did. We did, however, install leaf relief, which did not change the gutters. The owner of Durst Roofing did come back and used a magnet to remove all nails/staples. Though we do our best, it is difficult to remove every single nail. At present time, you still have an outstanding balance of $500. We do not honor any warranty when the balance has not been paid in full. It is unfortunate that you are not satisfied. The work we performed for you was the complete new roofing system and installation of leaf relief on existing gutters. It appears that these things are to your satisfaction. We can not be held responsible for work we did not do."

The shingles, gutters and spouting were replaced and gutter guard applied. Dustin also replaced some of the wood that was rotting around the roof's edge where the gutters are attached. It was a joy not having to climb up on the roof this year to clean out the gutters! Quality service, prompt and professional with a price that was 1000.00 less than other quotes.
