did a good job, especially on the Magnolia tree which was causing wetness on the roof. Cut all the bushes away from the siding. Thought the price was a bit high

Overall this was a good experience and I got estimates for some other services as well. So we'll be calling Eager B***** again.

After having seen Eager B*****'s tree trimming work in several of my neighbor’s yards, I asked one of them for EB's phone number. My first call was very pleasant. I spoke to Chris and indicated that I wanted them to come out and bid on my job. He said that they would be out on Sunday 3/20/11 at 2 pm. I missed attending a lacrosse game with my daughter to be available for them. They never showed up! When I spoke with Chris on the following Tuesday, he apologized, without any explanation except they didn't have the appointment written down. This was disappointing since I had confirmed the appointment on Saturday 3/19/11. Chris asked when I would be available this week. I told him I am available Saturday morning at 10 am (3/26/11). Although he readily set up the time, he kept pressing to get me to commit to having them do the work when they arrived to give me my estimate. I kept telling him that if the price was acceptable to me he would get the job on the spot, but if it was not, I would continue my search. When he and his crew arrived at 11 am (4 men and one lady), we walked my property identifying the trees to be thinned/trimmed. He explained in detail what needed to be done with each tree and how they would accomplish it. He initially quoted $1200 but we agreed to $1000. The guys and lady were extremely professional, friendly, and efficient is getting the work completed. They were at my home for approximately 3.5 hrs. The trees look great! I can't wait to see how they look once all of the leave come out.

The company made a "cold call" to me. They were in the neighborhood and saw some tree damage from ice. They went through the front and back yards and explained what they proposed to do. They were not overly pushy but made important points. I agreed to the work on a handshake. I wish I had tried to negotiate the price. They went to work immediately! I think $1000 was a little steep for the work performed that took 3 people about 3 hours to do. However, the work was superb. The appropriately pruned trees. Hauled fallen limbs from the landscaped ravine in my backyard. They did some preventative pruning to prevent further storm damage. They explained all of their work quite well and were cheerful. I would definitely recommend them again. Bravo for superb work!

Eager B***** was performing door-to-door services and stopped by our house. We walked around the house together discussing all that needed to be done. We started negotiating and ended at $700 for the removal of 2 trees (one medium sized, one large), and the trimming/pruning of 4 other trees. I asked when they could do the job and they said 'how's now for you'? They got started within 5 minutes of our negotiated price on nothing but a handshake. That is something I'm not used too. The whole job took about 3 hours and they stacked the firewood that was left very neatly after they asked me where they should put it. They hauled away all the brush, twigs, and leaves that was left over. The job was done well, and professionally. What a pleasure!

They did a good job but probably were a little overpriced for the amount of trimming. The crew did an excellant job of cleaning up the branches and twigs that came down as they worked.

I thought these guys did a great job. hard to judge price. Took 5 guys 2.5 hours.

A crew of four men including truck, power shredder and all related equipment was at work in the neighborhood. A front man solicited work on our trees, which I had previously determined badly needed trimming. He volunteered that the company was on Angie's list and suggested that I check them out, which I did. After negotiating I authorized them to proceed. The trees were trimmed and thinned to the very top, removing about one-third of the limbs. I monitored all work, which took about one hour. All crew members were busy and were immediately responsive and polite to my instructions. Clean-up was complete.

Company owner noticed problematic yard and advised home owner. Walked entire property, made suggestions and accepted all my own service requests. Negotiated an extremely reasonable price. Performed work on the spot and did so with great efficiency and with excellent results. I would give he and crew the highest possible rating and strongly recommend.

I was working in my front yard when Chris from Eager B***** walked up with a flyer and asked if we might need any tree service. Ironically, I was about to call the tree service we had used in the past since we had a couple of trees that needed work. Chris went through what Eager B***** could do for us and quoted a price. When I hesitated, the price dropped. Their flyer said they were on Angie's List so I said I wanted to check the service on Angie's List before making up my mind. They had six pretty good reports on Angie's List, so we agreed to have them do the work. They got to work within minutes and appeared to do a good job. They seemed to take pride in their work. They cleaned up after themselves really good. I plan on using them again next spring.

I thought that they did a superior job for a very affordable price. They were extremely accommodating, and I intend to use them again next spring. I’m generally not like this but they were good enough that I gave them a tip.

They did a pretty good job with the work. They came down the street and rang the bell so I hired them to do the trimming. They were a lot less expensive, which also meant that they were a lot less professional. They came by claiming that they lost our check and my husband told them to wait until Monday to see if the check was cashed. They seemed disorganized, because the check was cashed over the weekend.

Cleaned up residence very well except sawdust and chips on deck under silver maple. Price certainly better than previous team working basically same trees.

They were actually in the neighborhood doing work on another house and were going around with fliers. We decided since they were there we would at least get and estimate, we also walked by the house they were working on to check it out. Darren stopped by after they were finished with the other house, and gave us an estimate. Since they were already there we decided to have them do the work. You could tell they took alot of pride in what they were doing and made sure we were satisfied before they left (they even took before and after pictures of their work). After they were done they cleaned up all the limbs and leaves.

We needed to have our tree trimmed due to its age and the amount of growth over the past ten years. We saw men working on trees down the street and asked them what they charged to do our tree. They quoted me a price and offered prior customers addresses and phone numbers so that we could check them out. We did, along with your listing and hired Eager Beaver Tree Service for the job. The job was done very professional. We couldn't have been more pleased. The job was done fantastically, very professional. We couldn't have been more pleased.

First they said it would be $500 to take down 1 tree, take away a pile from 1 tree, and trim limbs on 7 trees. He lowered the price to $450 when I hesitated, then said $400 to do it today while they were here, and then came back from his van with a written estimate of $500, but $350 if I did it right now. I have heard too many cautionary tails, so I told him I needed to do some homework first. The name "Eager Beaver" does not appear on Angie's List. They seem very knowledgeable about the trees, and he was able to answer all of the questions that I asked. I was concerned that he was so insistent to do the work today. I already have a landscaping company that I use, and if he is comparable, I would prefer to stay with the company that I know. If this price is really lower than my landscaping company, I would seriously consider using Eager Beaver.
