EAGER BEAVER TREE SERVICE

***Update*** I heard back from Chelsey and she apologized for not getting back to me right away. They had been very busy and took a while to get back to me. She said that they would be over immediately to fix their mistake, but I had already dug up the roots ( I didn't realize it would be as easy as it was!) so I told them thank you for their apology but I had already taken care of it. I was honestly just happy to get a call back and even though I told them not to worry about it, they still came and put money in my mail box! I know a lot of people would have just thought "oh who cares, it is just one unhappy customer!" But they took time out of their busy schedule to make it right. I would absolutely use them again. My neighbors also use them and they are some really nice people! The people that came were very nice. My neighbor used them so I asked for an estimate. It seemed fair, so scheduled for them to come out. That ended up being the next day. As you can see in previous review, my neighbor approached them about their services. I think they just made an honest mistake and ended up forgetting to remove our rose bushes. They moved on to my neighbors yard. A while later, they came over with my written receipt. They let me know they would send someone back over to remove my rose bushes. They cut them, but did not pull them out by the roots. There are still four large stumps. They covered them with dirt and left. I have left five messages with them and received no response. Like I said, they seem like nice people so I am confused as to why they won't come back out and dig out the stumps, or at least call me back! I spoke with my neighbor and she is confused as well. I would be happy to leave a better review once the job is completed.

They did work on two of my neighbors property. I was very impressed with their work. They were at another neighbors house and I approached them for an estimate. One of the landscapers walked back over right then and made a estimate. They were even able to come over later in the day to start the work. They were fast, focused and the work was quality. They did a great clean up too. Excellent work. A couple neighbors were impressed and wanted them to come by their place for estimates. Their work sells itself.

Paul was in the neighborhood and gave us an estimate for tree trimming. He said they could do the work same day and winter was the best time to get it done. They were very professional and explained what needed trimmed and why. The trees and bushes look great!

I figured I'd get a quote from Eager Beaver for some work I wanted done and provided the price was good schedule the service. Eager Beaver came out to my house for the first time 2/4/2015. I walked around the yard explaining that I wanted a piece meal quote just in case it was too much to have everything done. At the time we finished, I said "So where are we at on the cost?" $800 and it could be done today...! I was like "What, right now?" and he said "yep - we can clean all of this up really quick" so I said "Let's do it." Service included removing a tree in my front yard that was about 15-20' tall and fairly wide in the branches. Once they got started, that tree was almost gone in 5 minutes! I couldn't believe how quickly they took the tree down. The back yard was a larger chore - a tree to be removed and cut the stump down, an existing stump cut down to ground level, a large area of brush that was my dumping pile for the last 3 years, clean up a bunch of small tree "sprouts" along the fence line (I mean a lot of them!), clean up a smaller section that was overgrown..it was a lot of work. Eager Beaver was done in about 2 hours. Work that would have taken me months and a lot of manual labor was all taken care of for me in 2 hours. And the result was the vision I had in my head that I wanted. I could only grin and feel the relief of all that work being done. Eager Beaver also impressed me with the knowledge they shared with me about tree maintenance and stump removal. Overall l am very impressed with Eager Beaver. I talked to them about some other work I wanted to have done - tearing down a shed to be specific. They said "We can do just about anything that has to do with the house - mulch, painting, and even tearing down that shed". I will definitely do business with Eager Beaver again.

The company was going door-to-door soliciting business. When I saw they were members of Angie's List, I decided to give them a shot at doing some work that I needed done. (I did rush to my computer while they prepared a quote to check their ratings on Angie's List.) The quote was a tad high and we negotiated a bit. The spruce tree noted above had been leaning and I was afraid that it would come over in high winds. The maple needed thinning and the company rep talked me into adding the shrubs around the house. They did a great job on every task. I have never had a company clean up after their yard work like these men did. I will keep them in mind for future work and I am glad they knocked on my door.

I called after the large wind storm that occurred in November. I had a tree fall on a neighbor's property and needed to be removed immediately. Paul called and came out with a team. They gave me a quote on the spot, which was less than 3 other companies. In addition to doing that main tree, I had them remove 3 other trees, trim up my bushes and thin out a tree in my front yard. I was very pleased with the quality and definitely the price. The crew cleaned up after themselves which I truly appreciated. Paul was very pleasant to work with...I would definitely recommend!

They did a nice job. Nice people,worked hard and did quality work. Willing to talk about price. They were reliable and efficient. Plan to have them do additional work in the Spring

We called them in the morning and they were able to come out within 2 hours and give us an estimate. They then did the job of hauling a large new tree to our back yard and planting it in the desired spot. Tree looks great and is doing well.

Eager Beaver is FANTASTIC in every way! When I called to ask about an estimate for work I needed done, they called me back within minutes and were able to stop by and look at my yard 30 minutes later because they were in my area. This is a family operated business and what a diligent, efficient, professional group they are! They were able to schedule the work within days of our phone conversation (they service their customers 7 days a week) and worked with me on cost, which was much, much lower than competitive companies. They even matched an and quot;Angie's List Dealand quot; price on cleaning my gutters. I can't say enough good things about Darren, who is the father, and the rest of his crew. Not only were they all friendly and pleasant to deal with, they gave me peace of mind with the beautiful job they did. These are hard-working people with an old-school work ethic, who take pride in providing meticulous service. This fall they will be coming back to remove a tree, with its stump, in my back yard.

It went very well. Team went straight to work, and cleaned up thoroughly, removing all clippings and branches which they hauled away. Nice job! We will keep their flyer handy in the future.

I was mowing the lawn when a young lady stopped by to tell me about the services provided by Eager Beaver tree service and asked if I needed any work done. I haven't in the past ever hired someone that just showed up, but she seemed very knowledgeable and professional. The gentleman that did the estimating was also very knowledgeable and worked with me on the price. I knew the gutters where in bad shape so we started there and after further discussion I went ahead with having four trees pruned. The trees look great and they left the yard cleaner than when they got there. I would definitely recommend them and would hire them again. I had CREW #2 do the work at my home, they were great!!

Eager Beaver did a wonderful job. I would definitely use them again. They came to my door because they had done work at my neighbor's. I don't usually hire people in this way, but I'm glad I did this time.

They were very great. They did everything they said they would do.

The appointment ways for 11 am and they were 10 minutes early, They gave an estimate to trim and thin out a medium size maple tree in the front yard. We were able to agree on the price and they started the work. It took them about 1 hour to do the job. I was impressed with the quality of work they cleaned up the yard.. I have had other tree services work for me on other projects and would rate this company above all of the others.

Very well. Their truck was driving down our street and I flagged down the driver to ask if I could simply get an estimate. So, Chris walked over after a few minutes and gave me an estimate and said his crew could do the job immediately upon agreeing to the specific price of $350. He went to get a fourth person and they were on the job in no time cutting, trimming and raking up the branches and leaves immediately. They were very fast and we are very pleased. I didn't have time to get a comparison quote. However, I noticed their A ratings on Angies List and I thought they would do a good job. I imagine the price was reasonable because the tree was so tall and it required 4 people. I think the price was probably fair. I would definitely call them again.

The Eager Beaver crew worked well and I was quite satisfied with what they did. In December 2012 I was very surprised to see that the most important cable Eager Beaver had installed was hanging down, with one end having pulled loose from the limb it was supposed to support. On December 26 I called Eager Beaver and left a message on their voice mail to see if they would fix the cable, but they did not call back. I called a couple more times and left messages, including on January 15. Chris from Eager Beaver called back (I think on January 23) and left a message on our answering machine, asking me to call again, which I did (I believe on January 24) and left another message on their voice mail. They still haven?t called back, so I?ve given up on trying to get them to repair the cable. I?ve contacted another company to replace the cable.

I called in the morning for a list of available services and an estimate. They came to the house within an hour of my call, and offered to not only do what I had requested, but also noticed that a gutter needed repair (which they were willing to do), they offered to clean out my flower beds for the fall, lay my existing mulch and clean out lumber that we had laying alongside the house that we had been trying to find time to get rid of. They offered an additional discount if I was willing to hire them that day while they were out. I was more than willing to have them take care of everything and they did a good job! Their motto should be and quot;We can do anything - we don't just do trees!and quot;

This is an incredibly hard-working team, and I feel they did a great job. I would have given them A's across the board except for one thing: they emptied a bunch of branches from a garbage container in our yard so they could use it to collect debris while they were working - and then did not clean up the branches they had dumped when they were done. A little disappointing.

They came out the same day I called them. They offered to do the additional work for no cost. They cleaned up well and I would highly recommend them.

They were hard workers. They completed the job in about two hours (which was their original estimate.) They cleaned up the yard very well, hauled everything, and purchased the new tree based on our specifications. They gave explicit instructions on how to care for the tree. We followed them to the letter, but our tree has lost all of its leaves and seems to be in shock. I have called to ask if they have any guidance, or any sort of return policy or agreement with the company they purchased the tree from, but no one has returned my call. It has been more than 48 hours. I am not expecting a return call, but needless to say, was disappointed. I was also a little concerned that checks were to be written out to Darren, personally, and not his company. These two issues are the reason I rated them low on Professionalism and Quality. The work they did on my existing trees was definitely appreciated.

We wanted to have dangerous branches removed from a large tree in our back yard (very steep, ravine), but leave the trunk and some branches as perches for the hawks and other birds we get in our yard.We had also allowed bushes at the front of the house to get overgrown, and trimming them and disposing of the waste was going to be too much for us. These guys did a great job, for a great price. They trimmed the tree exactly as we asked. The bushes look very neat.

See above. We were happy every step of the way. All aspects of the work were performed carefully and thoroughly.
