Woodworking, Window Service
The quality of the work from New Albany Home Services is generally decent.
The wood work is contracted out to an older guy (Don) - a skilled craftsman who does nice work, but in all fairness takes a long time. We had them out at our house for over four months (Sept. 14- Jan. 15) for what was probably a three or four week job (at most). Part of the issue is he starts quite late, typically 11 am, which means you have limited daylight to work with especially when you get into fall/winter. But a nice guy.
That said, the owner of the company, Gary Wells, was generally responsive when quality issues came up. We had some issues when caulking wasn't done properly and sills were the wrong size, which were corrected over time.
UPDATE (Aug. 15): The caulking has failed around many of the sill joints (strange considering it's been less than a year), but I will replace this myself when I get time.
