Davy Painting

We enjoyed working with Roger very much. He is very knowledgeable in his craft, patient with questions, and his crew thorough with their work. We will definitely use Roger and Davy Painting for work in the future.

Davy Painting came and explained things to us. He was the best at explaining things. He was prompt also.

Roger Brewer was thoughtful and knowledgeable. The crew was unfailingly helpful and did a great job. Highly recommended!

The crew was polite, friendly, and professional and the finished paint job looked good. There was some miscommunication between Mr. Brewer, the sales representative, and me which resulted in some last minute negotiation to complee the job as expected. Make sure that all details of what is discussed are included in the contract. Although I indicated I wanted all colors to same the same, the color of the shutters was changed without asking, making it difficult to match the original color. There was an area of grass in the backyard that was killed by the crew. Although the overall quality of the job was good, there were a variety of small problems that could have been avoided but were not.

Jim did a super job. Their detail work was outstanding. Jim alerted me to a potential problem with the ceilings, that he could have ignored, but the job turned out better with his recommendation. I will consider them again for future jobs.

My favorable impression started with my initial call to Roger Brewer. He advised me to get multiple bids, not pay any money in advance and ensure the paint to be used is specified in the contract and is of good quality. Weather delayed the start of the job, but Roger showed the appropriate initiative by calling me and keeping me apprised. The crew size of four or five demonstrated their commitment to completing the job as quickly as possible. The work itself was excellent, the crew polite, the job site immaculate. I couldn't ask for a better experience from beginning to end.

I had a specific time frame for this project. Roger was excellent about keeping me posted on when the work would start. The project was completed on time, and the results were great. Sean, the foreman, talked to me every day to make sure my expectations were met, and that the job would be completed within my specified time frame. The painters were very professional, and when the work was completed the area was 100% clean. I'd recommend Davy for any job.

We took 5 quotes before selecting Davy Painting, their price was a bit higher than some others, but the quote was far more detailed and comprehensive. Roger Brewer did an outstanding job before the work began, helping us determine exactly what we needed. During the project, the employees were friendly and polite, something we heard positive feedback about from our neighbors. The work they did was outstanding, even going beyond the quote in one area that required 3 coats to blend the siding.

They were very receptive to my feedback, very professional, they cleaned up well.

They were prompt, thorough, and knowledgeable. We would definitely ask them back.

They did an excellent job. They really strive for excellence in their work. They are polite, detail oriented and conscientious. I was very glad that I was able to ask their opinions and they were more than fair in giving me opinions. I was told they were a little high, but compared to other quotes theirs was a little less than another quote I received. Jim wanted to make sure I was happy with the work. He even painted some toe board and didn't charge me because he wasn't happy with the results (due to the material of the toe board). The job was bid at a higher price because the den was quoted for 2 coats and only ended up needing one (he verified with me first that it was okay as it was) and he lowered the price. I felt very comfortable with them in my home.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH JOB. I WILL BE CALLING THEM THIS SPRING FOR AN ADDITIONAL JOB.

They repaired some walls and ceilings cracks and painted the ceilings. They also refinished some windows and window frames that were worn down by the sun. They have done a very good job. This is the second time they have work in our house and the result has been excellent. They always make sure you are completely satisfied with their work. They are great people to work with.

The entire experience was positive. Estimate was timely and work began when promised. Crew did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Price was well below other estimates we obtained.

EXCELLENT PREP WORK AND EXCELLENT PAINT WORK. VERY PROFESSIONAL IN EVERY WAY, A RARE EXPERIENCE. THEY WERE COMPETITIVE IN PRICE WITH OTHER BIDS AND THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I WILL HIRE THEN AGAIN.

AFTER CONTACTING DAVEY PAINTING FOR AN ESTIMATE, JIM NORRIS ARRIVED AS PROMISED. JIM WAS EXTREMELY POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. I SPOKE WITH ROGER BREWER WHEN WE ACCEPTED THE BID AND FELT WE HAD FINALLY FOUND A COMPANY THAT WAS CENTERED AROUND 'GOOD OLD FASHION' CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE WERE GIVEN AN ESTIMATE ON WHEN THE PROJECT WAS TO BEGIN AND ROGER CALLED US TO SCHEDULE AN EXACT DATE. JIM AND CREW SHOWED UP ON TIME, WORKED AROUND OUR SCHEDULE WHEN NECESSARY AND FINISHED THE PROJECT IN A TIMELY MANNER. TRUE PROFESSIONALS WITH THE CUSTOMER IN MIND. YOU REALLY DON'T FIND TOO MANY COMPANIES LIKE THIS ANY MORE. A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

OVERALL, IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE. THE GUYS DID A GOOD JOB AND WERE VERY CAREFUL WITH OUR STUFF AND PLANTS OUTSIDE. THEY WERE VERY NEAT AND CLEANED UP REALLY WELL AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE. THEY WERE POLITE AND ON TIME. MY ONLY CRITICAL COMMENT WOULD BE REGARDING SCHEDULING. I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO BE GIVEN A DATE OR A WINDOW OF A WEEK OR TWO TO GET THE JOB COMPLETED. IT TOOK A LONG TIME TO GET THE OUTSIDE DONE. THEIR PRICING WAS SIMILAR TO THE OTHER ESTIMATES WE GOT FROM OTHER PAINTING COMPANIES.

WE GOT 8 ESTIMATES FROM TOP ANGIE'S LIST COS, & DECIDED TO GO WITH DAVY, BECAUSE THEY SEEMED GOOD & SOLID, AND ESTIMATE WAS FAIR. TWO PEOPLE DID THE JOB, INCLUDING JIM, WHO DID THE ESTIMATE. PERHAPS DUE TO MISUNDERSTANDING, JIM SAID THE PRICE HAD TO BE A LITTLE HIGHER ONCE WE WERE STARTING THE JOB. HE SAID ''TRIM'' DOES NOT INCLUDE WINDOW PAINTING, WHICH SURPRISED US, BUT IS INTERESTING TO LEARN. THE PAINTERS ARE NICE GUYS; THEY WORK IN QUIET AND SEEM VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE PAINTING LOOKS GOOD. MY ONLY ADVICE WOULD BE TO MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT TERMS OF AN ESTIMATE MEANS RE DETAILS. I ACTUALLY CALLED FOR CLARIFICATION & THOUGHT I GOT ALL THE ANSWERS FOR CLEAR COMPARISONS BETWEEN COMPANIES. IT WAS A HARD CHOICE TO MAKE BETWEEN A LOT OF SEEMINGLY GOOD COMPANIES, SO I HOPE, IN THE END, WE FEEL GOOD ABOUT OUR CHOICE, & THAT THE NICE LOOK FOR THE PAINT WORK LASTS! AS THIS JOB IS STILL IN PROCESS, I WILL CONTINUE POST AT END & AT THAT POINT ANSWER THE QUESTION OF WOULD WE HIRE AGAIN.

ROGER BREWER WAS QUICK TO RESPOND TO MY INITIAL CALL, PROMPT WITH HIS APPT, AND SCHEDULED US AT A TIME CONVENIENT TO US. JOHN, AND SAM DID A GREAT JOB, WERE NEAT AND PICKED UP AFTERWARDS. JOSH ALSO CAME BACK AT A LATER DATE TO PAINT JUST OUR CHIMNEY STUCCO, AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB FOR US. WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY WAS UNFORTUNATELY DISAPPOINTING. THE DAY THEY WERE GOING TO POWERWASH THE HOUSE TO PREPARE IT FOR PAINTING, I ASKED WHETHER THERE WAS ANYTHING I COULD DO, MR. BREWER SAID NO, THAT THEY'D TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING. BUT WHEN I RETURNED HOME, I FOUND THAT THE PAINTERS HADN'T MOVED MY OUTSIDE POTTED PLANTS SO THEY WERE COVERED (AND ARE STILL COVERED) IN WHITE-WASH SPLATTER, INCLUDING A ROSEMARY BUSH USED FOR COOKING AND A BOUNGANVILLEA. MR. BREWER OFFERED TO PAY FOR ANY DAMAGE BUT THERE REALLY WASN'T ANYTHING THAT MONEY COULD REMEDY. ALTHOUGH MR. BREWER IS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE, HE DIDN'T COME TO OUR HOUSE TO SUPERVISE WHAT THE PAINTERS WERE DOING SO THE SUPERVISION FELL TO US. AT ONE POINT, WE HAD TO ASK THEM TO SAND THE BACK DOOR AFTER THEY'D PAINTED IT BECAUSE IT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE THEY'D DONE SO PRIOR TO PAINTING. ULTIMATELY, THE HOUSE LOOKS VERY GOOD BUT FOR $3700 I EXPECTED BETTER SERVICE.

THEY PROVIDED REFERENCES AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE ALSO PROVIDED HIS CERTIFICATE OF LIABILITY AND INSURANCE WHICH WAS OUTSTANDING! THEY CLEANED UP VERY WELL AFTERWARDS AND ALSO WASHED THE WINDOWS.
