The Davey Tree Expert Company- Cincinnati & N Cincinnati

Davey Tree came as scheduled and performed the work for the amount bid.  Some of the work had to be done from the top of the neighbor's garage, which we got clearance for.  Pieces then had to be lifted by hand over a fence back onto our property, where they were left (per agreement -- we cut them for firewood).  Cleanup was not spotless but very adequate.

Davey Tree company provided a thorough estimate on the spot. It was a little pricey but worth the peace-of-mind knowing that the job was handled by professionals. It took a couple of weeks to schedule as the weather can make it tricky in the Spring.
Davey arrived on time with three trucks and a crew of about six. We went over the details of the job and they promptly went to work. They finished in a timely manner.
They did an excellent job cleaning up when they were finished.

The estimator came on time and was very professional.  He sized up the job and surveyed the yard to make sure his crew could get the stump grinder machine through the fence gate.  He gave me advice on replacement trees that are native to Ohio which was a secondary goal of the removal.  After receiving another estimate from another reputable company I decided to go with Davey.  Their reputation and professionalism carried the day and their price was equally in line with the market. On the scheduled day of removal the crew arrived when scheduled and were done in 2 hours!  This included removal of all the limbs and raking the area of work.  They left my yard looking better even after removing a very large leafed out tree. The stump grinder crew followed about 2 weeks later and did another great job.  Outstanding from start to finish

I found them on Angie's List and they were very fine. I have used them for the lawn service throughout the year. I had them do the work. They did a beautiful job and they did what they said that they were going to do. They cleaned up well. I had an occasion where I needed to call them and cancel one of my services because my neighbor from the next door had ripped up my side yard. So, I did not find it necessary to aerate. He was in a remodeling project and it would get done. I also did not find it necessary to reseed and aerate in the process. I called them up and told them that I wanted to cancel that service and there was no problem at all. They obliged me without any problem. They were a good company. The workers were fine and very good. They had higher marks on Angie's List which was why I chose them. I would give them high marks. I am still using them.

They were very nice. They said I didn’t need to have anything done.

From initial telephone call to on site estimate, to scheduling to actual work everything was well handled and done on time as promised.

Have been using the service for 2 years now and am mostly satisfied.  They will adjust your treatments as you request.  Problem comes with trying to talk to someone about your service.  They are very disorganized and short with customers on the phone.  Two years ago I called for an estimate for aeration.  Got the estimate one week and a week later they performed the work even though  I had decided not to have it done.  I paid them anyway because they do perform good work.

We have only used them once. The price was really good and we were very pleased with it. They were really quick as well. They seemed more professional than a lot of other guys who just seem like they are here in a rusty pick-up truck. They were very fast and cleaned up well after themselves. We got three estimates and their price was far lower than the other two. Their quality was good since they cut the tree. Their responsiveness was very good. We called them and the man made an appointment to come out the next morning to look at the tree. We did have to wait a while for them to come out since they said they were very busy. It wasn?t like the tree had fallen on our house or anything like that. I would use them again.

I was referred by a coworker who had found this company to provide a lower estimate yet do very good work.  contacted the company to discuss the work that I needed.  They got out to estimate it within 2- 3 days.  The estimate offered a choice of with or without wood removal (extra $480 to remove).  To save money we opted to have it left on our property -- I returned the estimate with my preferences on that.  There was a miscommunication (confusion on my part) on where specifically the wood could be left, which we ironed out in a couple of phone calls, and then the work was scheduled and carried out within about a week.  The crew did a good job and cleaned up all debris.

We have been pleased each time. We first called Davey after someone else sugested after we thought that a previous larger and more advertised company that we had used to remove an Ash was much too high. I ended up having much more confidence in the professionalism of Davey after seeing them operate than I did with the other company and Davey will continue to have our business in the future.

I have used Davey Tree before and they do a good job. This time it seemed like the communications and responsiveness wasn't coordinated as well as past experiences with them for some reason - maybe this was a busy time of the year for them??

I did a little extra and told them what I was doing. I was concerned after our drought this year that the grass wasn't coming back. I added additional lime and fertilizer as soon the rains came back. They were able to come and evaluate the lawn and a stressed tree at the same time within 24 hours of my call. They were very informative of what they saw concerning both my lawn and my sick tree. While they have not been hired for tree care specifically, they have added treatments to another tree that had magnolia scale. Overall, they are mostly a silent, behind the scenes provider, and I would prefer they be more forthcoming about their knowledge of lawn and tree care, but overall, I think they do a nice job and we will continue using them.

Overall, the experience goes well. I live in a wooded area, so keeping the trees away from my home is a priority. I'm very pleased with this company. Their price is competive. They are always prompt and clean up well afterwards, and they basically do a good job. I'm happy with their services and I would recommend them to others.

Davey did a great job for us taking down a large cherry tree in our yard. They showed up when promised, did the work quickly and well, cleaned up and were on their way in about two hours. Their bid was also substantially lower than the two other A rated companies who gave us quotes.

We had them out several times to do work. It was a very positive experience. We were pleased with their work.

We have used them in the past and they have always been on time, efficient, and very professional. We called them about the large tree that had fallen in a wind storm. They asked if it was blocking anything, i.e., was it an emergency that they come out. It was not, so we scheduled it for the follwing week. They called the day before to reschedule as it had to be changed due to rain. It was re-scheduled and they arrived on the day, at the time they said they would. They worked all day and was finished and cleaned up by 3:30 in the afternoon. They are not the cheapest tree compnay but they do the best work and you can count on them.

I switched companies partly because of the price and partly because I found a company that was more personable. I?m doing off-site maintenance and there has been a lot of work to be done. They are professional and prompt but the price is too high for me. I continue to use Davey Tree Expert for lawn fertilization.

I am not a lawn care person and lawn fertilization is a real bag of worms. I try to keep my contract low; I only have them come out five times a year. I had a problem last year because they put down fertilizer right before a huge deluge so I called them and they came back and re-fertilized.

They have very good service. The tree was in a dangerous position and they were able to come out and take it down safely. They cleaned up after themselves very well. We ran into no problems with the project.

They do a great job mowing and trimming my lawn each week. They are timely, and I never have to contact them. They never let the lawn get too high before mowing, even when the weather plays havoc with their schedule. I can always count on them to arrive before the lawn gets out of control. My lawn always looks good after they've completed their work. They blow all grass clippings back into the yard and are respectful of the street and neighbor's lots. They do the job as well as I would do it myself, which is always my barometer. They do a great job and really allow me to focus my spare time on things other than mowing the lawn.

They were efficient and the work was done in one day. We got three estimates, which were almost the same. Their prices are competitive. I was not at home that day. When I came home the tree was gone, and the house was intact. I guess they were good. Their sales manager could have been friendlier, because I had a lot of questions to be answered and all they were asking was if we wanted them or not. On the other hand, I understand they have pressure while working and they need to hurry up. They could have responded sooner. They came on time and did a good job without messing around.

Davey's did a most exceptional job and we were very pleased with the way they handled our contract with them and would use their services again should the occasion arise.
