I offered to find her because I have a Hav-A-Heart  trap. He said "no thanks, we've moved and it's been 8 months already".  He said they tried to catch her but she would not come to them. The farmhouse is empty now but his family still owns the property.  I made posters with her picture on them and posted then in the area. He took the posters down. I talked with several neighbors who were all very nice and left posters with them. I put the lost posters in a few businesses around town, at the animal shelter and grocery store, and in the Police station lobby.  I went daily and put out a bowl of food and rang the dinner bell she was used to hearing back when she was still part of the feral colony I have been feeding daily for 8 years. Had I spotted her, only then would I have set out my humane trap. I did not see her. Three days ago he told me to get off his property or he would call the police.

I feel I can no longer recommend anyone to take their pet to this man because I feel he is not sincere, he does not care about animals and did not keep his word about taking good care of my cat. He showed a lack of compassion for my cat and my family by not allowing us to look for our cat. He broke the verbal contract to call me if the adoption did not work out for any reason. I will recommend people never trust their beloved pets with this person.

People show their true colors when things like this happen and this man missed a wonderful opportunity to do the right thing for me, a previous client, for my special needs cat, who is now lost and  homeless if even alive, and for my family who miss this little cat and want her back. A show of kindness and allowing me to look for my cat would not have cost him a single dime. Very sad!
