We made a contract with Frisby Construction to repair/replace our roof. The roof was damaged by a large tree and had also incurred some wind damage. We first made contact with Frisby in April of 2016. Our Homeowner’s Insurance is through Allstate. A claim was filed and approved. I received a phone call late afternoon on July 6, 2016 that our roof would be replaced on Friday, July 8, 2016. The material drop would occur Thursday, July 7, 2016. I asked what time and was told it could happen at any point during the day. I cancelled all plans for Thursday to wait for the material drop and stayed home all day. It did not happen. Early Friday morning, 7:46 a.m. I wake up to two men on my roof removing my roof. I try to ask them what is going on and neither speak English. I have never seen these two men before. I immediately call Frisby and no one answers. I text the gentleman from Frisby, Jeremy, who was supposed to be our roofer. He responds to my text at 8:30 that he had no idea we were even scheduled for today. I finally get a hold of someone at Frisby and reassured that the materials are on their way. In the meantime more and more of my roof is being removed. No sign of Jeremy, no sign of anyone from Frisby. I am starting to panic. One gentleman comes to my door and points to my roof and throws his hands up in the air. He is looking around. I assume he is asking about the materials. This is at 10:45 a.m. I call Frisby again and I text Jeremy again. At this point I am told the materials are two miles away. There is also a giant thunder storm moving in! We wait and wait and wait. The storm is moving in and still no materials. I call and text again. At this point I am told the materials were delivered to the wrong address. I sent a screen shot of the weather report to Jeremy and ask what the plan is. Again I am reassured he will make it in time. My roof is down to bare wood, my house is literally open. I ask what is going to happen if it starts to rain, and I am told it will get covered. The storm hits and they didn’t even have tarps!!!!!! Water poured into our house, destroying photographs, children’s artwork, quilts, rugs, our bed, walls, floors and more importantly our spirit. The mold has sent my son into several asthma attacks. It has been awful. This is just the tip of the incompetence iceberg. I could literally go on for hours. Our lives have been **** because of this company. The company, Dave Jr. specifically, and his brother Josh have repeatedly promised to “make things right.” They have not. They will not. I have documentation of every interaction I have described here. I have documentation of the damage. I have documentation of everything. A company is only as good as their word and this company’s word is garbage. Their promises mean absolutely NOTHING! We trusted them over and over again with the same result.
