It went really well, they did the work they said gave me upfront pricing and the car was ready when they said it would be.

Went ok at first, but when I needed a follow up re-check a few days later, that's when it fell apart. Brought car in for an engine oil leak and coolant leak. Diagnosed as head gasket and possible oil pan gasket leaks. Repairs authorized and permission to proceed . Took their time and car was tied up for 7 days . Not a problem, as I have another car to drive. After the repairs were completed and I paid the bill in full, I drove the car for a few days and returned to inform the owner that I still found oil dripping on the ground . He wanted me to set up an appointment for the 5 minute re-check! When I asked if I really had to wait that long again , he became somewhat unpleasant , but put the car back up to see what was leaking . Oil pan gasket does need to be replaced , and we did discuss that possibility earlier . So , I asked about the cost , he replied " I don't know without having to look it up" . Fine ! Then he said "I'll call you when I get the estimate" Needless to say , I never heard from him again. So, for those reasons I do not recommend Stoney Creek . Lack of follow up is unacceptable after almost $1700.00 in money spent at this establishment. Proceed with caution when engaging this establishment.

Excellent as always.We've been using Stoney Creek for several years now. We really don't like going anywhere else. We trust them. They treat me and my husband with the greatest respect. They do a great job of explaining why a repair is needed in plain language and answer all questions. The repairs and maintenance have always been only what was needed and what was asked and we rely on their professional advice if there is something additional that would save money in future. They've been a great advocate for us when a dealership had to get involved. John, Karen and Brad are wonderful to work with. I love waiting for an oil change on the comfy couch listening to beautiful music and getting my dose of dog petting.

Great job! John was wonderful! He explained to me about what needed to be done regarding my brakes. I highly suggest Stoney Brook auto. On a side note his dogs are friendly.

Before I would make an appointment with the tire company to spend more money I took it to Stoney Creek. They put it up on the lift and sure enough they detected it was coming from the oil pan and had splattered all over the engine. So, I called the tire company and told them. They said you can have it repaired there (Stoney Creek) or you can bring it back to us and we'll take another look. Well, by now I was a little skeptical and decided to have Stoney Brook take care of it. Stoney Brook had to drain the oil to find the problem and saw there was no gasket in place. The gasket had never been replaced when the original oil change was done. Stoney Brook had to perform another oil change and to totally clean up the engine compartment. Stoney Brook did a great job. I now have to ask the Tire Company to reimburse me for the work I had done (including a new oil change). This, of course doesn't cover the time lost in 3 extra visits to repair companies for a mistake brought on by faulty work done by the Tire Company. I gave them a chance to make it right. They claimed there was nothing wrong with their oil change, but certainly were willing to let me pay them for an inspection with dye. The shame is that I’ve had work done at this company before as well as purchased fairly high end tires and did not have any problems. I now question asking them to do any more work in the future. But, I'm now getting angry and almost want to list the name of the tire company. Thank You, Stoney Creek

Fine. Stoney Creek is like Family. They are always fair.

Stoney Creek services all 5 of our vehicles and is the best provider we have ever used!! They not only perform services requested but also advise if any additional services are needed and how urgent it is to have any services done. They always make room for us in their schedules when we have urgent needs. I feel comfortable knowing my whole family, including 4 children, are all driving safe vehicles. In addition, I have found the prices for services to be comparative and in most cases less than competitors. I would highly recommend Stoney Creek to anyone in need of auto service!

He seemed very knowledgeable. He fixed everything about the transmission. He was a very delightful person to work with. I noticed the difference when I was driving.

After being told by a national chain mechanic that I needed new wheel bearings less than 18 months after getting new wheel bearings, I shopped around for a second opinion. Stoney Creek caught my eye because I saw the review that mentioned John used to run the service department at Saturn of Mentor. A former Saturn owner, I loved the service used to receive there. I gave them a call and was able to get a price quote over the phone. Even better, they were able to fit me in later that day for the service. The rattles and noise are both completely gone and the car drives beautifully. John fully explained everything he did (which included some minor cleaning and repair that was done improperly by my previous mechanic) and did the work with better parts with a longer warranty for almost $130 LESS than the other place was going to charge me. He and his wife were both super friendly and clearly very knowledgeable. I've found a new mechanic for all my service, for sure, and have already recommended this shop to others. I am beyond pleased with the service I received.

The car is riding great, mileage per gallon has already increased. They may not be the cheapest, but they do what they say they will do on time and on budget. I would recommend them for anyone, but especially Saturn owners who need good advice and service, as the owner is a former Saturn trained master mechanic.

John opened his own business after the Saturn dealerships closed. My vehicle was purchased through Saturn of Menter, it is a 2005 VUE. He is "the best" & the "only" service I use for my vehicle.

Brad was very informative of how they flush the tranny with 16 qts of fluid to replace all the old fluid in the system. They reviewed the brakes, changed the oil/filter, and replaced all tires upon inspection informed me 2 were down to their bare tread. Suggested a Firestone brand that has been working really well on the Toy Camry he said, and will wear well for the high mileage I put on my vehicle each year. John and Brad are the best at what they do. John used to work at Saturn and when the dealer closed, I thought my husband was going to have a heart attack. He really relied on John to keep his vehicle going. When John opened his own shop, we jumped at the chance to have a local shop with experienced technicans to service our vehicles at a great price. They send out coupons on occasion to their customers. I save 15% on the tranny flush! Thanks guys!!

It went well, they even provided me with a loaner to drive home because they were planning on finishing my car the next day and knew I lived 30 miles from them and it would be inconvenient to have someone pick me up. I used them because I had heard good things about them and they are locate close to where I work. They are a good, honest, hardworking family and I totally trust them. I actually submitted this company to Angie's list last spring after having some repair work done.

Job was completed promptly and I was notified about a bad tie rod end.

They did all the work while I went on a run through Mentor.

Excellent, incredibly responsive. I had previously taken car to Saturn dealership who after charging me to inspect said I needed a new AC condensor and new lines for $900+. Called Stoney Creek, they offered to look at the car the very next morning (no charge), they looked at it immediately (no waiting!), and quoted above price (I didn't need new AC condensor, it was apparently fine - just new lines). I had the car repaired two days later. They even dropped me off at work while the car was getting repaired, and tire rotation for free (with any service). They also showed me the repair that was needed (with the car on the lift) so I could see for myself, and then showed me the parts that were replaced. I have found my new car repair shop!
