When they came to my home "two days later" the technicians were very professional also. They placed down mats in the home so my carpet would not get ruined. Everything they moved they put back before they left. They also explained the unit to my wife and I so we understood what we were getting and how to use this new system. They cleaned up after themselves after they left inside and out. All these things made it very simple for us and also gave us a peace of mind about our choice. They were in and out in one day. They were always on time if not early for everything we needed. They also offer a maintenance service with there units so you don't have to worry about doing some of the cleaning and upkeep on your own. We are so happy with our decision and would give these guys a A+. We have already recommended them to one of our friend and will continue to recommend them to everyone who needs any work done in this area!
Shame on us for not doing our homework. We are now going to be getting a new Trane heating and AC unit installed for $4500 when we were quoted $8000 for an inferior unit. Lesson learned: ALWAYS get a second opinion! I am glad I trusted my gut on this one and saved $4000!
He appeared very friendly and professional. After he checked the furnace and air conditioning unit, he told me, that I needed refrigerant, plus a single pole contact replaced. The current one was not malfunctioning, but "might" soon. As I don't know anything about air conditioning units, I told him to go ahead and do the repairs. So far so good.
However, when it came time to pay, I told the tech that I had a coupon that stated any new customer would have a free service call with repairs. He then told me, that this coupon was only good for emergencies. When I tried to tell him that it did not state anywhere on the coupon, he told me again that I could get the service call for the other coupon I had for a $49 charge.
Then the tech tried to sell me on their "service club" as this would give me a discount for the total charges. I told him, not at this time as I am on Social Security and simply cannot afford it at this time. He then said, I can put it on a monthly credit card deduction. I told him again, not right now, maybe later in the Fall, and he then stated that the cost goes up if i paid annually, whereas it would not go up if he used my credit card for monthly deductions. I did not sign up for this, even though he tried to convince me of the benefits and I resent this kind of high -pressure sales tactics.
I would never recommend a company that has to have their techs try to pressure-sell you something you don't want., and I will never use this company again.
"The customer has been a client of ours since 2007 and we even installed a new furnace for her over the years. After talking to her and reviewing the original phone conversation I believe this is nothing more than a misunderstanding of our coupons. We had been offering two coupons in this ad. The first ad was for a $49 A/C Tune-Up and the second was for a free service call with repairs to new clients only. The customer was obviously not eligible for the free service call because we had been servicing her for over 4 years at this point. She did agree to schedule at A/C Tune-Up for $49 which includes a full service to the system and safety inspection with our infrared cameras of the furnace heat exchanger and water heater. This is a standard service for us. Upon agreeing to the recommended repair of adding less than one pound of R-22 refrigerant and replacing a electrical conractor switch because the old one was burnt up she asked to use the free service call coupon again. We stated that it was for a free $89 service call for new customers only and that it wouldn't apply. We did honor the $49 Tune-up coupon which is what she originally called for in the first place. She did call into the office while my tech was still in the home and we did agree to waive the $49 because of the misunderstanding. We did charge her accordingly for the refrigerant and the contactor which was paid in full."
"We had been servicing the member's residence and most of their neighbors since 2000 when the home was built. We installed a geothermal system with zoning in their home. They had a issue in 2004 with a main zoning control board, contactor, compressor and a ECM blower motor all going out at the same time. We suspected some kind of power surge at this time but we could not confirm. We did replace all the parts under a parts warranty and at a deeply discounted labor rate. We also had the reps from company that manufactured the zoning equipment come to the home to make sure everything was set to manufacturers specs. Then five months later the zone control started to have a intermittent problem so we swapped it out for a brand new system only charging the difference between our actual cost and what was paid to replace the old board five months prior. After that there were no problems with the system other that routine maintenance or replacing maintenance items. The next issue was in 2010 when we were called out because the main breaker to the unit tripped and we found a zoning damper motor had gone bad which we replaced under a full parts and labor warranty. We also replaced a contactor while we were there because it was showing signs of wear. The contactor was charged at regular price. That was the last time we serviced this unit and to our knowledge was working to manufactures spec."
