I was told on May 11 they would do the yard work. I asked him to give me an estimate first, and he said he’d be there within the week to give an estimate. By May 28 they still hadn’t contacted me so I texted him “did you come out yet?” Nope, he said they’d be there that following week. He showed up June 2 with no warning, so I was at work when he provided the estimate to my husband...but my husband didn’t want to have the work done without checking with me first. June 3 I texted Walter that I agreed to the price/plan, and he said he’d be back to do the work “end of this week or early next week”. No call, no show. June 14 I asked “can you tell me when you’re coming?” He replied “Monday”. By June 28 still no call, no show. AGAIN I asked “when are you coming?” He replied “Monday”. When Monday came he was still no call no show. I asked “Are you coming?” He said they were backed up, would arrive at 9am the next day. They arrived at 10:30 the next day (This is now July 2, almost TWO MONTHS after their initial timeline). It was the owner and 1 employee. Apparently they think “weeding” means to weed whack the weeds down and then leave the roots sticking out of the ground. I could have done that myself!!! So when he asked for payment I said “does it cost extra to actually remove the weeds?” He said “no that should be part of the job” then blames his employee for not having done the job right (though, he was just fine taking my money without checking his employee’s work). I paid him the $80 so he could get back to work pulling the weeds from the ground. I checked on them a few times - it was slow going. I offered them water, they refused. An hour later my husband noticed they were gone, and when I checked the yard they did NOT finish the job. They pulled out about 20% of the weeds, leaving the roots laying around in the garden bed, and just completely skipped out on the rest of the job. Apparently once he had my money he felt it wasn’t necessary to do the work he promised was part of the price. I will NEVER give this man my business again.
Description of Work: Walter (the owner) used to mow our lawn so he contacted me via text message asking if I needed it this year. I said we don’t need mowing but we could use help with weed/brush removal since my husband and I are both recovering from surgeries earlier this year.

Response from All Seasons Grounds Keeping
Well part of what she said was right , I did text her to see if she needed any work done this year as I have mowed and took care of her place about 3 years ago . Then all the rain started and did not stop raining for a long time , maybe it didn’t rain at her house like it did everywhere else I don’t know ! So when I had some free time I went to give her a estimate and I guess her and her husband don’t comuacate at all because he had no idea she even agreed to have me come out .i have him a estimate on trimming all her bushes on the front of her house, they looked like no one has trimmed them since I stop working there , went to the back yard of the yard knowing what I was going to see both back corners of the yard and to the side all raised gardens full of weeds growing just like they were when I first started 3 years ago, and she had the same excuse she did then her and her husband had been ill and couldn’t take care of it ! Same old story!! So I came back when I said I would trimmed up all her bushes and a over grown rose bush . My worker was doing the back , pulling all the weeds out even cutting out a small tree growing tree that start growing for 3 years since I left 3 years ago . I told her I would try to pull more weeds out when she gave me the check, which we did they have been growing for a long time in there I told her that they needed sprayed with weed killer to kill the roots , but l think she thought after letting them grow for 3 years I should be able to just pull them all out . As far as just taking her money and going, the money mostly payed for trimming her bushes in front that took most of my time, but she failed to mention all of that work that I performed , some homeowners should never be allowed to own a home they should all live in apartments have somebody else take care of things for them since they’re going to be having surgeries all the time !!! As a customer I give her a F for not telling the whole story
