Ascent Roofing Solutions

I have no idea if the service was performed or not. They failed to show up the first time I scheduled to have my gutters cleaned. No call/no show. I took time off work too. I called and no one answered, left a message. I emailed the next day and someone finally responded that they couldn't come out because of the weather. We rescheduled. I took time off work again and they did not show a second time. I called and they said they could not come out again because of the weather. We rescheduled again. On the 3rd try I took time off work yet again and they failed to show at the scheduled time. I called and they said they were running behind. I could not continue to miss work for this, so I asked them to clean when they got there but I would not be home. I don't know if they ever came and did the work or not. They were nice the couple times I talked to them on the phone, but I was very upset no one have me any kind of warning that the appointment would be canceled and I continually had to miss work for no reason.

Hired initially to clean gutters and Leroy did an excellent job. Subsequently hired to remove an old stove pipe and repair the roof. Did a good job at a fair price and I was very happy with everything. I only gave a B to Responsiveness because it was hard to contact their office/scheduling coordinator to schedule the follow-up appointment, but that wasn't a huge problem.

I last used their service last March. They service they provided went very well. We have some issues with water coming between the house in the gutter after they adjust it. We called and they come out promptly and they adjusted it and we had no problem since. They provided us very good customer service. They were prompt and they would got back to us. There was never any assumption after what was going on. Everything is clear and concise.

Mike from Ascent Roofing came out to check my gutters. We agreed they needed cleaning and repair. He gave me an estimate on the repair and we set up a date for him to do the work. The weather was most uncooperative. Every time he was supposed to come out, we would have a snowstorm or ice build-up that made the work impossible. However, Mike was cheerful and ready to do the work when the weather cleared. He gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him anytime. Once the weather was okay I tried calling him a few times with no response. Finally I called the office and was told that Mike had been let go because he was not performing up to their standards. They promised to send out Chris (Mike's brother.) Chris looked at everything and told me my problem was caused by the original installation not being done properly. He showed me how the gutters were not properly aligned for drainage which was causing water to go over the top rather than down the spouts. His solution was to install little "shims" or spacers that realigned the gutters. He came up with a new estimate which I thought was fair. We set a date in April, for Chris and his assistant to do the work. As I told him, the proof would be when we had the next heavy rainfall. That happened a few days after the installation, and I saw that the water was coming down over the edge on the front side. So I called the office and told them what was happening, and they said they would send Chris out again. I didn't hear anything further, so a few days later I called the office again. I was told that Chris had come out when I was not there and did not find anything wrong. In talking with the office person I was told he checked the back of the house. That was not where the problem was. I asked to have Chris come out again when I would be home. He did that and explained that the problem was not the gutters but the roof and I would have to have roofing people out to solve it. All in all, the work done was okay. But this company has major problems in communicating with its customers. It was frustrating to hear nothing from the company about a change in personnel that affected me, and I feel they should have at least called me after the first time Chris came back to check on the problem. Unfortunately, I can't give them high marks.

They did an excellent job. When I checked on them on Angie's List it was a Saturday and that's when I called and he answered himself. It went well right from the start with them.

It went really well. The guy was really nice , came on time and did a great job. He completed the work really quickly and was very professional.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. It turned out well. I have not finished my final step; I'm the one holding up the works. He came out and they were very nice and polite. I had them come out right away. I did not know that we had hail damage and he took pictures with his cell phone. When he came down he showed them to me and thinks there is no question that I need a new roof. I have to contact my insurance company and Ascent said it will come out and meet with the insurance company when they come out.

I really liked LeRoy. He was professional and followed through with his commitments. He had to postpone our actual scheduled date due to a job that took longer than he thought. This was fine although he did tell me he would be here at 9:30 the following day. I had appointments all day but I told him to come anyway. I did swing by at noon to see how he was doing. He was not here when I left at 1:15. He called me at 5:15 and had completed the job. He also did a favor for my husband at his shop. He did leave sticks in our flower beds as well as a few dead leaves which did not smell good. Overall I think he did a fine job. He did send pictures of the repairs which I really appreciated. I will use him again to clean the gutters.

I had several estimates for the repair and while Ascent wasn't the cheapest, they did provide the most extensive service. They found several areas of damage on the roof that others had missed. I appreciated the time they took to explain the issues and the fixes.

When the installer came out he inspected my roof and attic. He informed me that I could he could not install the fan that I had purchased due to the configurations of my roof and crawl space and lack of airflow for the fan to work properly. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. I was grateful that he let me know that the fan I had purchased would not work. He could have installed it anyway and I would not have known. Instead he did the honest thing and I got reimbursed for my purchase by the company.

We will use them again in the future.

The work was done in a timely and professional manner. A job well done.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They did as they said. It was as advertised. It seemed to make a big difference in the upstairs cooling. It took a 5 degree gap and took it to a 3 degree gap from upstairs to downstairs. I clearly feel less heat coming down from the attic into the master bedroom.

They cleaned the gutter very well. However, could not finish the cailking same day since it was cold weather. Follow up appointment was done and missed again. So left with them to finish the caulking as they can manage time to do it. never heard after whether they did it or not

First of all - they were very responsive and very concerned about getting the job done timely. They were delayed several times by bad weather and always kept us up to date on this. When they showed up to perform the work we learned when damaged facia board was removed that the structure underneath was damaged too. They discussed several options with us for fixing this and explained everything very well. While we were not excited to have to pay the extra money for the repair as it was unexpected we felt had the utmost confidence that it would be done well this time around. Additionally they gave us a very competitive price on the work that was unexpected because they too understood the frustration of having to fix something so extreme that was unexpected. They also have a great warranty on all their work which is another reason we chose to use them in the first place.

Overall it went well, except for the weather we had this winter and early spring. I live in a brownstone two story home in Merion Village that makes it difficult to have the gutters cleaned. A great experience with Ascent.

At the time of service I asked for some assistance with gutter overflow problems we have thinking that it was caused by my gutters being full. However my gutters turned out to be empty and it was recommended that I needed to have splash guards installed. I also have an issue with water getting behind one gutter on the back of my house, a recommendation was made to repair that problem as well. I indicated that I would like to have these services performed and was told it would take a follow up service, but that hasn't been done yet.

I called two companies to come out and give me a quote for a small job. LeRoy came out pretty quickly and gave me a quote. I felt it was a bit high for what was needed, but he threw in the gutter repair for free, and I was extremely busy at the time, so I decided to go ahead with them. The second company was never able to schedule the quote in the time frame I needed. LeRoy called a couple times to keep me informed of when he thought he could come out. I realized that since it was a very small job, it wasn't a high priority, but they still got to me quickly. LeRoy called me to let me know the work was done and to explain that a tennis ball was lodged in the gutter and it likely didn't have a leak, but he sealed it anyway. tLeRoy communicated very effectively and I never felt worried that the job would get done right.

It took a good time to get them out and then once they did come out I had to have them come back out and rerout some of the cable so that it wasn't so visible. They were very accomodating in coming back out and did a good job concealing the cable to my satisfaction.

Was a little difficult to schedule ( took a few attempts, would call and they'd be remote and not have the "schedule" available to them) Did some gutter re-leveling and some clean-out ... not really that much to do and only took about 1/2 hour so ... ( $200/hr ???) seems steep?. Technician was very pleasant and knowledgeable, was supposed to have folks follow up for a roofing estimate and still have not been contacted ???

I missed being at home for the first appointment by a couple of minutes. By that time they had already come and gone without doing an inspection. The second time when they actually did the inspection I requested them to do it without my presence. I was given an estimate for about $2,000 by their representative LeRoy. The hour or so worth of labor that I had already paid for was going to be included in that work. After that it was a constant game of tag between them, the weather, illness etc. I can probably count at least 3 contacts when I was told that the work would be done and then nothing would happen for some reason or another. And then finally all contact ceased both via phone and email. I assumed that they had lost interest and contacted Benchmark roofing, another Angie's list provider. They came in, did the estimate and completed the same job in 1 week flat. They also came in at $600 lesser than the Ascent roofing estimate. I have written off the amount I already paid Ascent for the special Angie's list offer as none of the hours labor that was promised was actually used.

On time for appointment. Very thorough. Will definitely consider for future work on gutters and roof.

They did more than I expected with no additional charges. The employees were very professional and made sure that I was aware of everything they found that needed repaired.
