It went very well. The two guys who came out were fast, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone needing this company's service.

Better than I had expected. They responded to my inquiry and were able to be out the same day. Allen Drain was able to determine that a plastic soda bottle, probably from when the home was constructed, was blocking a tie-in drain. They removed the bottle and that took care of the problem.

The first time when my basement drain flooded, they cam with 2 staff, worked for 30 minutes and fixed the drain with no issues. The second time it was a first floor toilet- and the one guy came and fixed everything in 10 minutes. Both times their staff was friendly and didn't try to overcharge or recommend unnecessary work.

The guys were prompt and on time. They cleared the drain in about 20 minutes. The best thing was they were able to get out here on the same day which made a huge difference. I paid a little more but it's done and I don't have to worry.

Do yourself a service and do not call Allen Drain. They are a RIP OFF. Charged me $500 to put in a new sump pump last year. Found that the pump retails for only around $100. So paid $400 for install and service which is ridiculous. A little after a year called them for a night service call.
Agreed it was after hours. But was charged $250 for a service call which lasted less than 30 minutes and all the service guy did was reset the float, which if he had told me to try even on the phone while troubleshooting the problem, I could have done. Most honest businesses will help customers that way by helping to trouble shoot problems on the phone to avoid a service visit if it can be a simple fix. But no ALLEN DRAIN wants to try to suck every penny out of you! So much for using a local business which I thought wants to be honest and fair and help its customers. But I was Mistaken. Do yourself a favor and stay away from
this RIP OFF Business called ALLEN DRAIN! Will give them negative stars if I could.

The crew arrived during the window of time provided during scheduling with a notice call. They went right to work addressing the drain issue and were done within 10-15 minutes. They provided information as to the type of blockage and approximate location in the sewer line. My only concern was the mess left behind. They disposed of the debris in a bag we use for laundry trash/lint, basement floor was wet and had additional debris. More concerning was they did not attempt to cover the floor with anything where they would be tracking in and out of the house. I should of paid more attention to the process and asked about covering the floor.

For the last 26 years we've lived in a house that is now almost 60 years old. The contractor built it as cheaply as possible and the plumbing has always been problematic. We've used other local plumbers who were very good, but Allen Drain Service is the best of the bunch. On both occasions they arrived on time and were in and out within 45 minutes. Very friendly and professional guys. Cleaned up afterwards and gave us tips on how to minimize problems in the future. They charged what seems to be standard in our area for this type of service. I hope I don't have to use them again, but I know it's not a case of "if" but rather than "when." So. when it is necessary to clean out the drains again, they'll be who we call! Recommend them highly. (Angie's List members get a $5 discount.)

They were a grade A. They came out. They did the job and actually it was like a few weeks later, they guarantee within like 30 days or something like that and it was like 2 weeks later, the drain is backed up again and they came out and took care of it at no charge. It was really reasonable. They were really prompt. They came out right away first thing on a Monday morning. They came back and made sure it was right. They were professional.

I noticed a leak in the main soil drain pipe where it connects to the clean out junction just before going into the cement floor of our basement and connecting to the lateral line to the sewers. I suspected the drain must be clogged and was allowing the liquid to drain onto the floor through a broken seal on the connection. I checked Angie's List and called Allen Drain Service. Two technicians came out and performed the and inspection. They explained to me that I needed a plumber to replace the pipe and possibly the clean out junction and that it may require a partial dig out of the concrete floor around the clean out junction.

I was so surprised when they said I didn't owe them anything. Many service companies will charge a fee just for showing up, but I was not charged by this company, even though they provided a quick inspection and test of my drain system that resulted in the correct diagnosis, an explanation of the probable repair, and a suggestion for a proper service provider. They were very honest, professional and courteous and I still cannot get over the fact that they did not charge me for a service call. They said they didn't do any work that would justify a fee. They merely said if I, or anyone I knew ever needed drain service, to please give Allen Drain Service a call. I will certainly do that. Allen Drain Service is an asset to residents of NE Ohio.
