John is really knowledgeable; he was able to advise us on the condition of all the trees of concern (it’s a moderately large wooded lot) and we know the ones we need to keep an eye on. John kept up with his crew during the day. They were efficient and careful with the removals and they cleaned up the yard and driveway beautifully after. I didn’t find him through Angi, but I’m so glad we found him anyway.

I received three quotes for the removal of a very large hickory in my backyard that had been struck by lightening and was slowly dying.  John's quote came back well under the other quotes I received and I was very happy with the service they provided.  Instead of having to pull a large crane into my backyard for removal, which is what the other companies had quoted, they were able to climb the tree and slowly bring it down which helped reduce their estimate.  The job took about 3 hours for removal and they were at my house at 8 am on the dot as promised.  After removal, the following day they sent out another team with for stump removal and then a few hours later a final team came to remove the wood chips and debris.  They also filled in the dents and holes left behind from the removal and seeded any bare areas, so that with the exception of grass growing in the bare areas, my yard looks back to normal.  Overall, their workers were very courteous and asked for permission prior to doing anything out of the ordinary, such as spreading wood chips at the edge of my yard.  The only thing that I will say for people looking is to be able to be flexible with dates since they perform work on a first come basis so I received a call confirming the exact date right before.  That worked for me, but again but not work for everyone.  But, since they didn't require me to be there all the time it didn't seem to be a huge issue.  They also were able to remove a small tree that my husband had requested and was not part of the original estimate, so it was very nice that they were flexible.  We are very happy with the service we got and would definitely considering using them again.

We marked dead trees with spray paint and orange ribbons around the trunk.  Crew cut down the WRONG tree!  Cut a beautiful and healthy 20 foot Austrian Pine and left a dead White Pine with orange ribbon standing.  Company owner got mad at us - said he was sick and didn't need our angry phone calls about the bad service.  At first refused any compensation then, made his crew member plant a new 5 foot white pine tree as a replacement.  TERRIBLE experience.

Worst service and company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.  Abusive owner, sloopy work not complete and overcharges; need I say more?  Work done a while ago, but new to Angie's List

Billed $425, for performing 1/2 the work on a $300-$400 estimate job. Called owner to ask for a reduction in bill due to only 1/2 the quoted work being performed and exceeding the $400 cap on the estimate. Owner shows up at my home with an aggressive attitude and verbally abusive tone demanding payment immediately. Only after telling owner that the Police would be contacted if he did not leave did he leave. Never in my life have I dealt with such unprofessional behavior.
