They were great. They were punctual and efficient. I liked the product, too. There is one thing I am finding that they didn't tell me about and that is the slight odor that causes a burning sensation in my eyes. I've had to leave the garage door up to get some ventillation so it doesn't get too out of control and hope that it takes care of the odor.

On time, professional, cleaned up, excellent work, great attitudes. responsive and courteous office staff. This team really works with the home owner. Excellent/ very satisfied with the insulation. They had to drill into the morter of my brick home and matched it so well during patching/sealing that you can't tell anything was done. Amazing!

I FELT A BIT RUSHED AT FIRST, THE WHOLE PROCESS FROM BID TO FINISH WAS LESS THAN A WEEK. THEY DID HONOR ALL COUPONS AND DISCOUNTS.THE CREW WAS VERY PROMPT, EFFICIENT, CLEAN AND POLITE. I HAD HEARD A COUPLE OF WARNINGS ABOUT THIS COMPANY BUT THE FINISHED JOB WAS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED.

Tony was able to schedule my appointment on Saturday, December 20 in the afternoon. I was slightly nervous about the possible mess or potential problems that could arise- I was expecting my son who is in the military to come home on leave for the holidays, along with friends and relatives coming in from out of town. I always host a large gathering at my house for Christmas, so I could not afford time wasted on waiting for this job to start and finish (lots of shopping and preparation to do!). I did not receive a call from anyone to confirm my appointment on Saturday, 12/20. I waited patiently at home until approximately 3pm when I decided to call Tony (the sales rep). I left a message on his cell phone that no one had called or shown up. Because he failed to call me back, I called USA Insulation's office. No answer. I left a voice mail that I was extremely unhappy that I had waited all day until 6pm. The next day, 12/21 the receptionist returned my call in the height of my shopping frenzy. She apologized and explained that the workers were backed up due to the harsh weather that hit Columbus. She then told me she did not blame me if I did not reschedule! She offered to reduce the price quote that I had received, but at the time she called, I had travel plans made and could not schedule anything until after the first week in January. To date, I have not received a call from anyone at USA Insulation to try to win my business. Unless they call me and offer a reduced rate and prompt, professional service, I will never recommend this company to anyone looking to insulate.

We'd seen signs for this company around the area and viewed their website to learn about their foam insulation techniques, all of which seemed like good signs. We were able to set up an appointment for an estimate within a week of calling. The rep was punctual and called in advance to confirm arrival time, but he seemed fairly cavalier about the process and questions about whether older wiring might be a problem. The estimate was about 30% over what another company offering a similar product was offering.

The overall experience was average. My home was very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. Because of this I decided to get foam insulation injected into the walls. The salesman came to our home and pitched his product and was agreeable but slightly pushy. We came to the agreed upon price after some negotiation and it seemed reasonable. The installation process went as scheduled. The installers were a little late but that is really the norm from my experience with most contractors. There were some issues during installation that caused some major problems. Apparently the mix the installers were using was not properly formulated and was actually to wet and this liquid seeped through one of the walls and caused discoloration. In addition to that, one of the installers knocked over a down spout for a gutter and placed his ladder directly on the new aluminum coil fascia wrapping on the roof, causing multiple dents on the surface. The foam does go everywhere but it did not cause any electrical issues or other problems besides expected cleaning. The issues during installation did cause some headache to resolve and were almost completely remedied to my satisfaction without undue hassle. I contacted the company and informed them of the paint situation and told them I would have another company provide a quote to re-paint the whole room and I would get a quote from the company who did the roofing to repair the damage to the aluminum fascia and the down spout. Once I obtained a quote for the two projects I mailed them in and USA Insulation sent a check for the price of re-painting the room but had someone come over and replace the down spout on there own, without my consent. The down spout is not a big issue and I could have done this on my own, but I was displeased that the aluminum fascia issue was completely ignored. My interactions with the main office were not excellent, whoever answers the phone is a generally disagreeable woman, but the manager was polite and agreed to my solution without any protest, he simply did not send enough money to cover both issues. I have simply let the aluminum fascia issue rest as it is a minor blemish that I am probably the only one who even notices. The overall performance of the product is acceptable. I have endured two Ohio winters in this house and last winter, prior to insulating the house, the thermostat was set at 70 degrees, would constantly run, and my wife and I would still be cold. Now, the thermostat is set at 68, cycles on and off, and the temperature is better but still cold. I live in a drafty, old house so overall this is an improvement. Also, we have a cabinet installed with the back to an exterior wall and prior to installing insulation we could use this to chill aluminum soda cans to near refrigerator temperatures in the winter. Now, the cans are only lukewarm.

My husband emailed them for more information and it was more than week before they contacted him back. Normally, that wouldn't be a big deal, as we understand how email can work, but it just got worse from there. When my husband talked to them, he set up an appointment for an estimate for two weeks out at 10 A.M. one Friday morning. That Friday, 10 A.M. came and went, with no one showing up and no call to my husband to explain the delay. When he called them to find out what was going on, they were dismissive of his concern, saying they had been "overbooked" and could they reschedule his appointment. We didn't. From a customer service standpoint, that was unacceptable - at the very least, had they truly been overbooked, they should have called to reschedule or called to let my husband know they were running late. It cast serious doubts for us on the level of their professionalism, the kind of job they would perform, and their reliability. Needless to say, they lost our business.

He was supposed to install our insulation and ruined our phone lines by drilling through them. He created a bunch of extra hassles that I didn't want to deal with. They were very hard to work with, they wouldn't even repair the damage done. I would not recommend them.

I first called during the weekend and left a message. I was promptly called Monday morning and an appointment for an estimate was made around my work schedule. The salesman, Tony, called before arriving and quickly asked if my house was made of wooden shingles. This has been an ongoing issue for many professionals. My house is actually sided with a vinyl siding that is very thick and looks and feels just like wooden shingles that were heavily painted. I showed him an area where there is a gap and that it is actually attached like vinyl siding but sturdier. He also looked in my attic. He suggested exactly the amount of additional attic insulation that my house inspector did before I purchased the house in November. The estimate was exactly what I expected and much less expensive than trying any of the other methods to insulate the walls and attic. I was able to schedule the installation two weeks later. I was called about an hour before the crew arrived. When the crew arrived, I again was questioned about the siding. We looked at the section that I had shown the estimator and we discussed that although it was originally installed much like typical siding, it was attached differently and would require much more work than typical with a risk of damage. The other option was to install it from the inside. Since I was planning to refinish the walls anyway, this was not a major problem. They cut 2 inch holes into the walls between studs, installed the product, plugged the holes first with a wooden plug then spackled over them to make them even with the dry-wall finish. While they made every attempt to clean up after themselves, some expected dust did happen. I appreciated the honesty of the crew, Dan and Mike, throughout the process. They also added insulation to my attic that was done quickly and impressively thick. They ran the hoses through my windows around my house and cleaned up on the outside as well. The only exception was an area that I believe they just forgot when it began to downpour with rain as they were completing the job. They also shared that they typically only do one house a day to make sure they aren't rushed to go to another job. While this process did not go the way originally planned, I would definitely do it again. After only a week, I've noticed my house maintaining it's temperature better and I can barely hear the traffic noises, etc. anymore.

When I called this company I spoke with a different person apparently because he was very pleasant, courteous, etc. However, the person who came to do the estimate was not the same person. I, unfortunately, did not get a name.

Overall they were very sloppy and was in a hurry. My husband was out there the whole time to make sure they did what we paid for. They drilled through a wire which they repaired in the wall. They didn't clean up anything, still have dried foam hanging around. Not professional at all and not sure they were trained well in the application of this product. Didn't seem like it.

Steve scheduled an appointment to give me an estimate and called on his way out to confirm the appointment. Upon arrival, he described the process to me and highlighted the great features. I had already watched the video on their website, so I was already educated on the process but he made sure I understood everything. He also made me aware of tax credits that I could take advantage of. I agreed to have them do the work and he scheduled me for the following week. The driver called to inform me he was on the way out the day of the appointment. The crew removed rows of siding from both stories of the house and filled the walls with insulation. Upon completion there was no trace that anything had been done. Everything was cleaned up and the siding was put back in place. The only sign that USA insulation was here is the temperature difference and comfort in the home. It's too soon to tell, but we fully expect a reduction in our heating bills.

The USA representative was pushy and not very professional. He did not give me a written estimate. He contacted me twice after the initial consultation. The second time he indicated he could do better on the price he'd quoted me. And he'd already changed the price twice.

Crew was over 30 minutes late. Job was very messy and they shorted out a light switch. When I called about what to do about that the lady that answered the phone told me to take off the swith plate and just clean it. When that didn't work, they sent an electrician to fix it. Turns out that the advice she gave me could have resulted in me getting electrocuted. I have seen absolutely no energy benefits in getting this done. The temperature inside my home is the same and my gas/electric bills were the same. I left a message regarding my dissatisfaction and no one has returned my call.

Did not feel comfortable with sales person. He put down other competitors and said his company is the only in Ohio that installs foam insulation. (However, 2 days prior, I received a quotation from another foam installation company. USA estimate $3900, competitor $2300) Never provided any concerns with foam insulation installation, leaking, electrical shorting concerns, and shrinkage of foam. Was not impressed with salesperson; arrogant and pushy. Will not use them for insulation.

They took off strips of siding outside, drilled holes and blew in foam into the walls. They had to put holes in the mortar in-between the stone, and you can't even tell. They did a great job patching the holes, so the work was not obvious.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB ON THE SIDING. MY HOUSE HAD HORIZONTAL OFF WHITE BOARDS ON THE BOTTOM AND BLUE PAINTED VERTICAL CEDAR SHINGLES ON THE UPPER PART. I LIKED THAT LOOK/COMBINATION AND WANTED TO RETAIN IT (EXCEPT THE PEELING PAINT). THEY SEARCHED FOR AND FOUND THE MORE UNUSUAL BLUE SHINGLE-LOOK MATERIAL AN OPTION THAT NO OTHER COMPANY OFFERED AND THE FINISHED JOB LOOKS GREAT. THEY DID A METICULOUS JOB ON CLADDING ALL THE NOOKS AND CRANNIES ON THE 80-YEAR-OLD HOUSE. THE JOB ON THE FOAM INSULATION WAS OK, IT REMAINS TO BE SEEN HOW WELL THE FOAM DOES IN COMBINATION WITH VARIOUS OTHER INSULATION MATERIAL (FIBERGLAS, CELLULOSE) THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY IN THE WALLS (WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE).
