Description of Work: He installed a garage disposer. I went on Angies list and found they were offering a special for the exact service they preformed for us ay $169. I emailed the company and they are going to refund the difference. How refreshing to find a contractor who will do the right thing? They are our new plumbing contractor

Description of Work: Gas Line Install. I worked with Gary. Very knowledgeable and offered extra information and suggestions for increased efficiency throughout the home for the future. He was very honest and forthcoming and his work was quick and high-quality. He could recognize other company's handiwork which showed knowledge of the competition and a respect for his craft. I would highly recommend this company and Gary to anyone.

Description of Work: I called to have the bathtub temperature regulator repaired, as the shower was no longer giving a consistent water temperature. Gary was punctual, and immediately identified the problem and how to fix it; the price was less than $150 for the repair and parts, and I opted to proceed. | |While turning off the water at the meter to do the repair, Gary noticed a leak at the valve going into our hot water heater, and discovered that the Lowe's installer had not done a quality job installing the hot water heater two years ago, and that the installation was not up to code. He explained how we needed to proceed, offered a quote (another $400, more or less), and I opted to proceed. | |My only two knocks on the service are 1.) that Gary offered numerous other services throughout the visit, such as that the visit felt like a trip to a budget oil-change shop when they tell you 25 other services your car can't possibly function without, and 2.) that after Gary finished the repair on the hot water tank, I discovered that we did not have hot water. After calling Gary to discuss the issue, I had to do a good deal of research and eventually discovered that I needed to reset the ignitor switch, something that probably should have been done during the service call. In all, it took me two hours Monday evening to solve a problem that was created by the technician during the repair. That was frustrating, and during my follow-up call, Gary - to my first point - mentioned that our brand of heater was "bad" about some part or the other going out, and that we might need to replace that particular part. When in fact, all we needed to do was press the reset button. | |All in all, however, I was pleased with the quality of the work, Gary was extremely professional, and the work was done in a timely manner. I would definitely use them again, despite my two frustrations.

Description of Work: They (he) replaced a hot water tank. Didn't clean up and broke the glass out of a large storm window and did not inform me. Price was a bit high and he didn't have the right tank when he arrived so work was delayed causing issues because I also had a furnace being installed that day and the furnace company was forced to delay their installation. |

Description of Work: Eco Plumbers used a pressure hose to clean out my sump pump and downspout drain lines. They used a camera to look inside the pipe to try to find why water wasn't flowing out to the street very well. The tech had a lot of trouble locating any sort of break in the pipe, he just kept saying it was really bowed/warped but that that shouldn't prevent water from getting to the street. Finally he put the camera into the pipe from the downspout end and measured the distance until it hit standing water, and decided that the blockage must be about 2 feet toward the house from the sidewalk. He said I should have the whole 30-ft section of pipe replaced. The price quoted seemed high, so I eventually had a different company replace that section of pipe. But the water was still not draining to the street. So I had the new company put their camera into the pipe and they found the problem right away: the connection on the street side of the sidewalk was broken. I could have saved a lot of money and trouble if Eco Plumbers had figured this out from the start.

Description of Work: They (he) checked my entire plumbing system. He spent a total of 2 hours doing it so I have no problem with the effort he put into it. What frosted me was $100 for clothes washer hose replacement. I knew they needed replacement being over 5 years old. The new hoses were $40, not cheap but stainless steel braided. But he charged $60 for labor for about 10 minutes work unscrewing the old hoses, wire-brushing the threads, and screwing on the new hoses. $60! A few days later a manager called me to ask what I thought of their service. I complained about the $60 labor charge to change washer hoses. He sent me $30 refund check.

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal for a water heater flush and general plumbing inspection. The appointment was scheduled at my convenience and the technician arrived on time. He flushed the water heater and found other small problems on inspection. To avoid future problems, the tech replaced the float in the my toilet, a valve on the water heater and checked the sump pump connection. All work was done in a profession and timely manner. I would definitely use them again.
